Abstract

A method for delivering a particulate material into a wellbore (12) comprises pumping a carrier fluid into a delivery conduit (16) which is in communication with a wellbore, loading particulate material into a vessel (32a, 32b), and driving the particulate material from the vessel and into the delivery conduit at a location which is downstream of the pumping system (14).
