- control engine 106 can receive control, communication, and/or other similar signals from the user 150, the network manager 180, and one or more of the sensors 160.
- the control engine 106 can control each sensor 160 automatically (for example, based on one or more algorithms stored in the control engine 106) and/or based on control, communication, and/or other similar signals received from another device through a communication link 105.
- the control engine 106 may include a printed circuit board, upon which the hardware processor 120 and/or one or more discrete components of the controller 104 are positioned.
- the light fixture 102 can include a power module 140, one or more light fixture components 142, and an optional safety barrier 136.
- the light fixture components 142 of the light fixture 102 are devices and/or components typically found in a light fixture to allow the light fixture 102 to operate.
- a light fixture component 142 can be electrical, electronic, mechanical, or any combination thereof.
- the light fixture 102 can have one or more of any number and/or type of light fixture components 142.
- the example system 600 of Figure 6 also is capable of automated reconfiguration in the event of a loss of a light fixture of other component of the system.
- the system 700 of Figure 7 is substantially the same as the system 600 of Figure, 6, except that light fixture D 602-4 is out of service.
- the sensors in this case, sensor A 660-1, sensor B 660-2, and sensor C 660-3) associated with light fixture D 602-4 in the system 600 of Figure 6, need to be controlled by and in communication with another light fixture.
- light fixture D 602-4 becomes out of service (e.g., loses power, malfunctions)
- light fixture B 602-2 is instructed to take control of and communicate with sensor A 660-1, sensor B 660-2, and sensor C 660-3.
