- the user starts to perform user authentication by manipulating the touch pad located on the right leg of the smart glasses 1510.
- a virtual screen 1520 composed of a keypad and a password display window on which an input password is displayed is displayed in the eyes of the user.
- the contact number of the pupil is selected (1521, 1522, 1523, 1524).
- the selected number is displayed on the password display window on the virtual screen 1520, and the user inputs a fingerprint in the keypad portion corresponding to the number.
- the user may register in advance fingerprint information to be used for user authentication.
- (b) is a diagram for explaining user authentication according to the present embodiment.
- the user looks at the keypad portion of the virtual screen and the number 1 1521 is selected.
- the user inputs fingerprint information into the numeric key 1 1521 by manipulating the touch pad located on the right leg of the glasses. If the fingerprint is authenticated, the message that the fingerprint is matched is displayed on the virtual screen, and 1 is displayed in the authentication number input window.
- Authentication is performed sequentially for the remaining digits 7, 0 and 6.
- 16 is a diagram illustrating a method of performing user authentication using biometric information according to an embodiment of the present invention.
- iris recognition is used as biometric information. Iris recognition recognizes this by scanning the infrared camera with a comb-shaped muscle pattern that controls pupil dilation.
- the terminal device performing the user authentication may further include an infrared camera.
- the user must enter a combination of password and iris information for user authentication.
- the user When the authentication window 1610 is displayed, the user inputs the numeric key 1 1611 corresponding to the first digit of the password in the keypad portion. When 1 is input and displayed on the password display window 1620, the user performs iris recognition.
- the user stares at the camera 1631 of the terminal device 200, and the camera 1631 scans the muscle pattern of the iris and checks whether it matches the registered iris information.
- the authentication window 1640 displaying the payment password 1 with the message that the iris information matches is switched.
- the user enters a password or inputs password and iris information for the remaining digits to complete user authentication.
- 17 is a view for explaining a method of performing user authentication using biometric information according to an embodiment of the present invention.
- the terminal device may communicate with an external device to receive user authentication information and perform user authentication at the terminal device.
- the authentication information including the biometric information cannot be input to the external device, it is possible to perform user authentication in the terminal device according to the present embodiment.
- the external device and the terminal device may transmit and receive user authentication information using Near Field Communication (NFC), wireless communication, or the like.
- NFC Near Field Communication
- the terminal device 1720 when receiving user authentication information from an external device 1710, the terminal device 1720 displays an authentication window for performing user authentication.
- the user selects payment information confirmation and agreement 1730 in the authentication window and inputs a payment password.
- the password for payment is 1234.
- the last digit 4 is set to input the iris information.
- the user enters passwords sequentially. After inputting the numeric key 41741 corresponding to the last number 4, the user recognizes the camera 1740 located at the top and inputs the iris information 1742. If the iris information matches, user authentication is complete.
- FIG. 18 is a diagram illustrating a method of performing user authentication using biometric information according to an embodiment of the present invention.
- the terminal device 200 that performs user authentication is implemented as a wearable device.
- iris information is used in FIG. 18 instead of fingerprint information.
- the terminal device 200 may include an infrared camera.
- FIG. 18 it is assumed that user authentication is performed based on authentication information including iris information using smart glasses, which is a kind of wearable device.
- the user starts to perform user authentication by operating the touchpad located on the right leg of the smart glasses.
- the user's eye is illuminated with a virtual screen 1810 consisting of a keypad and a password display window that displays the input password.
- the number 1 1811 contacted by the pupil is selected.
- the selected number 1 is displayed on the password display window on the virtual screen 1810, and the user gazes at the camera embedded in the glasses and inputs the iris information 1820 corresponding to the number.
- the user may register in advance the iris information to be used for user authentication. If the iris information matches, the virtual screen 1830 displays a message indicating that the iris information matches.
- the user completes the user authentication by repeating the same process for the other digits.
- FIG. 19 is a diagram illustrating a process of performing user authentication using biometric information according to an embodiment of the present invention.
- the terminal device 200 displays a plurality of input areas in which authentication information including biometric information is input (S1910).
