Description
LIFESAVER THAT CAN BE SEPARATED INTO MULTIPLE UNITS
BY PULLING APART
DESCRIPTION
Technical Field
The invention is related to a lifesaver which can be used by more than one person, as it can be multiplied by being pulled apart by accident victims from the pulling strings in case of emergencies.
Prior Art
Nowadays, marine transportation is a transportation method which can make life easier for people living especially in large cities. In the case that marine transportation is used for business and travelling, companies and states need to take precautions by taking into consideration the possible accidents or losses that may occur due to accidents.
As it is known, one of the most utilized products by people during accidents in marine transportation is the lifesaver. However the numbers of lifesavers usually do not match the number of people that might be transported by a boat or vessel and they are kept on board of vessels or boats. This situation necessitates the usage of a large area depending on the number of lifesavers in marine transportation vessels. In the case that the number of accident victims are higher than the number of lifesavers, some people are not provided with lifesavers or a plurality of accident victims try to grab onto the same lifesaver and in such a case this may lead to increased panic and the rate of deaths also may increase. As a result due to the disadvantages mentioned above, and due to the fact that present solutions are not satisfactory, there has been a need to carry out improvements to the state of the art.
Aim of the Invention The invention has been formed from the situations mentioned above and aims to eliminate the aforementioned disadvantages.
The primary aim of the invention is to prevent the loss of life that may be experienced due to accidents.
Another aim of the invention is to ensure that the lifesavers consume less space and the volumetric load is reduced.
Another aim of the invention is to provide a plurality of lifesavers in one lifesaver in order to increase safety.
The invention is related to a lifesaver, in order to reach the aims mentioned above, which has been developed in order to be used in marine transportation, which has been formed by bringing together a plurality of pieces that are connected to each other but can be separated following the pulling of the strings that have been provided on each piece, therefore enabling the lifesaver to be separated into more than one lifesaver, which also comprises a mechanism for each lifesaver to be inflated in order for each lifesaver to become an independent lifesaver.
The structural and characteristic features of the invention and all its advantages shall be understood more clearly by means of the attached figures and the detailed description provided by making references to said figures, and therefore an evaluation regarding the invention needs to be carried out by taking into consideration these figures and detailed description.
Figures Describing the Invention
Figurel, Is the entire view of the lifesaver subject to the invention, that can be multiplied;
Figure2, Is the view of one of the separated pieces of the lifesaver subject to the invention, which has been separated and inflated by pulling it's string, provided on each individual piece of the lifesaver that can be multiplied. The figures do not need to be drawn to scale and the details which are not necessary when describing the present invention may be omitted from the drawings, and at least the parts that substantially provide the same functions are shown with the same reference numbers.

Detailed Description of the Invention
In this detailed description, the preferred embodiments of the Invention have been described in order to further explain the invention and it must be taken into consideration that they do not limit the invention. The lifesaver (10) is formed by bringing together a plurality of detachable lifesaver units (3). The entire lifesaver (10) has been shown in Figure 1. The ends of the detachable lifesaver units (3) are curled and tucked inside the buoyant foam parts (1). As a result the partially filled air that is trapped inside said detachable lifesaver units (3) is compressed and is collected in the
mid section and thus the entire lifesaver (10) remains buoyant. It is ensured for the lifesaver (10) to float together and to be coupled by means of the safety line (5) and the inner connection cords (4) that are joining the buoyancy foams (1) The view of the detachable lifesaver unit (3) that is obtained as a result of pulling of the strings provided on each individual detachable lifesaver unit (3) of the lifesaver (10) has been shown in Figure 2. In case of emergencies where the number of accident victims is high, the detachable lifesaver units (3) which jointly form the lifesaver (10) ensemble can be separated by pulling apart said detachable lifesaver units (3) from the buoyancy foams (1) by means of pulling at the pulling strings (2). Additional air is blown inside the detachable lifesaver unit (3) which becomes independent from the lifesaver (10), by means of the carbon dioxide tube (7) hidden inside one end of the buoyant foams (1). As an additional safety measure, a whistle (6) has been provided on each detachable lifesaver unit (3) in order to give an audio signal and reflector strips (8) have also been provided in order to give a visual signal, both with the aim of locating the victims at sea, quicker.
Claims
1. A lifesaver (10) which can be multiplied by being pulled apart during emergencies at sea in case the number of accident victims are more than one, characterized in that it comprises buoyant foams (1) that form the connecting parts of the lifesaver (10) and a safety line and an inner connection cord (4,5) in order to keep the lifesaver ensemble together.
2. A lifesaver (10) according to claim 1, characterized in that said buoyant foam (1) has detachable lifesaver units (3) that have been curled and tucked therein at both ends, and each of which can be used as separate lifesavers after the pulling strings (2) are pulled at, thus being separated from the lifesaver (10) attached to the safety line.
3. A detachable lifesaver unit (3) according to claim 2 characterized in that; it comprises a carbon dioxide tube (7) by which the detachable lifesaver unit (3) that has been separated from the lifesaver (10) by being pulled apart thereof can be self-inflated.
4. A detachable lifesaver unit (3) according to claim 2 characterized in that; the detachable lifesaver unit (3) comprises thereon, reflector strips (8) and a whistle (6) which can be used as audio-visual signals to aid with locating the victims separated from the lifesaver (10) attached to the safety line.
