Abstract

The invention relates to an ecological and hygienic continuous-flow urinal, comprising a body, a tank, a cover that receives an inlet tube and a trap system. The body of the urinal has a first wall, a second wall, a third wall, a rear wall and a base having an outlet opening. The first wall has a transition step towards the second wall. The second wall ends at a determined height, where it is folded outwards in a first inverted U-shaped rim and continues downwards to form a second U-shaped rim, which again folds upwards and outwards forming the third wall which, when reaching a determined height, is folded outwards in a third upper rim, wherein a peripheral channel is formed between the third wall and the second U-shaped rim. The tank is placed on top of the rear part of the first rim, wherein the tank has at least one slot that permits fluidic communication between the tank and the peripheral channel. A trap is positioned underneath the outlet opening, comprising a receptacle and a waste conduit which are integrated into the urinal. In addition, the urinal can be accommodated inside an external casing.

Description

INTEGRATED ECOLOGICAL MINGITORY WITH BASKET AND EXTERNAL HOUSING

Technical Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to the technological field of bathroom furniture. Particularly, this invention consists of a new urinal that allows water to be saved by a continuous flow of waste water from the washbasins or washbasins and includes a céspol integrated thereto to facilitate installation operations and its placement inside an external housing.

Background of the invention

In our days there is a great concern to avoid wasting natural resources. Particularly, one of the most valuable resources on earth is drinking water. A variety of water-saving devices have been developed today, such as valves that restrict or cut off the flow of water to sinks and showers, double discharge devices for toilets, water recirculation systems in showers, bathtubs and hot tubs, among many other inventions. It should be noted that most of these inventions involve hydraulic parts of complex manufacturing, electronic elements such as sensors, flow meters, etc.

These mentioned systems and devices have certain disadvantages. For example, some of these require interaction through direct contact by the user with levers and keys, which can cause a situation of infection and transmission of diseases. On the other hand, in the case of toilets or urinals that use a fluxometer to generate a higher discharge pressure, pathogenic microorganisms for human health can be propagated in the air. Similarly, systems that use sensors or electronic elements require an electrical power source for proper operation.

Another disadvantage is that some of these systems and / or devices do not prevent the spread of bad odors in the bathrooms. Moreover, some deodorant components that are added in known bathing systems or devices eventually cause the obstruction of the strains due to the accumulation of waste.

However, notwithstanding the foregoing, there are no known devices or systems for saving water in urinals that are commercially successful. Moreover, it has been estimated that 5% of drinking water is destined for the consumption of urinals. On average, it has been calculated that each urinal has an annual consumption of 150,000 liters of drinking water. Therefore, the present invention seeks provide absolute savings in water consumption in a urinal in an economical, ecological and hygienic manner.

Moreover, there are no known urinals in the state of the art that facilitate their installation by integrating in their structure the fluid connection elements necessary for proper operation. Nor are there any knowledge of the state of the art, urinals that are housed inside an external housing.

Therefore, there is a need in the state of the art for a urinal that allows for total water savings, that avoids user contact with any element of said urinal, that keeps the urinal clean due to a continuous flow, which integrates the elements required for its installation in order to facilitate its installation and maintenance.

Objectives of the invention

The main objective of the present invention is to provide a urinal that saves the total consumption of discharge water.

A further objective of this invention is that the urinal reuses the continuous flow of the sinks or washbasins keeping its main body clean.

Another objective of the present invention is that said urinal allows the user to avoid making contact with any part thereof. A further objective of this invention is that the urinal of the present invention prevents the return of unpleasant odors and the spread of pathogenic microorganisms.

Another objective of the present invention relates to the urinal being of simple manufacture avoiding complex components.

Another objective of the present invention is that said urinal that prevents the clogging of its discharge line.

A further objective of this invention is that the urinal of the present invention facilitate installation by integrating a céspol into the main body of the urinal.

Another objective of the present invention is that said urinal also facilitates maintenance work by means of removable elements in the basket during cleaning operations.

Finally, another objective of the present invention is that said urinal can be housed inside a removable outer shell for protection and better appearance.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention will be described herein in accordance with a preferred embodiment that constitutes a urinal. Ecological and hygienic illustrated in the figures that accompany this description.

With reference to Figure 1, the invention consists of a urinal (10) that is mainly constituted by a body (11), a reservoir (30), a cover (20) that receives an inlet pipe (40) and a system of céspol (50).

Figures 2 to 4 best illustrate the body (11) having a first wall (12), a second wall (14), a third wall (18) and a rear wall (13). In the preferred and illustrated embodiment, the walls (12), (14) and

(18) are substantially curved following a partially cylindrical pattern, and the rear wall (13) is straight and covers the height of the three walls (12), (14) and (18). The first wall (12) has a transition step towards the second wall (14), where the second wall (14) is of greater amplitude and height than the first wall (12). The second wall (14) ends at a certain height, where it bends outwards on a first inverted "U" flange (15) and continues downwards to form a second "U" flange (16) that folds upwards again and outward forming a third wall (18) that when reaching a certain height bends outwards in a third upper flange

(19). In this way, a perimeter channel (17) is formed between the third wall (18) and the second "U" flange (16). These elements of the urinal of the present invention can best be seen in the sectional views of Figures 3 and 4, as well as the walls that make up the Urinal (10) are formed from a sheet piece. As best seen in these figures, the walls

(12), (14) and (18), as well as the flanges (15), (16) and (19) form a profile which is partially enveloped by revolution that constitutes the body (11) of the urinal (10) that it is observed substantially cylindrical from the front and sides, and that it is flat on the back following the back wall (13) .In conclusion, it is reiterated that the body (11) of the urinal (10) is basically formed in one piece In the preferred embodiment, the body (11) is formed in a smooth textured material with minimal porosity Preferably, the body (11) is formed in one piece and in ABS plastic.

Figure 3 illustrates the tank (30) that is superimposed on the back of the first flange (15), that is the part closest to the rear wall

(13). The tank (30) which is substantially rectangular parallelepiped in which its side walls have at least one slit (35) that allow fluid communication between the contents of the tank (30) and the perimeter channel (17). Said fluid communication occurs when the tank (30) is filled with water, reaches the level of the height of the slit (35) and is therefore poured into the perimeter channel (17), and whose operation will be explained later.

According to Figure 4, the urinal has a bottom (53) that has an exit hole (54). Preferably the outlet hole (54) is in a centered position of the bottom (53). In an alternative embodiment, the bottom (53) may be slightly concave, where its lowest point is at the exit hole (54). Below the exit orifice (54) is located a cespol (50) consisting of a basket (51), also known as a trap, which has a waste duct (52). In the preferred embodiment of the invention, this céspol system is also integrated into the urinal (10). Finally, Figure 3 illustrates a grid stopper (55) that rests on the periphery of the outlet opening (54) and partially protrudes downwards being housed in the basket (51) of the céspol (50).

Based on figures 1, 3 and 5, the fundamental part of the operation of the present invention can be explained. In these figures it is observed that the inlet pipe (40) crosses the cover (20) and reaches the inside of the tank (30). There, the inlet pipe (40) provides water that fills the reservoir (30), which begins to spill its contents through the slit (35) to the first flange (15), over which the reservoir (30) it is supported, and thus towards the perimeter channel (17). Preferably, the inlet pipe (40) may come from a sink outlet (not shown) in order to recycle the water used in said sink, or it may come from an alternative source of water. Water begins to fill the entire perimeter channel (17) until the water it reaches the height of the second flange (16) and begins to pour said water over the first edge (15) through the first wall (14) towards the bottom (53) of the body (11) of the urinal (10). The spilled water allows the urine deposited by the user to be removed in the urinal (10). In this way, the tank (30) functions as a hydraulic seal, which prevents the odors from the urinal (10) from going to the sink, or alternative water source.

According to Figure 5, it can be seen that the grid plug (55) of the céspol system (50) can be easily removed since, as described above, it is only supported on the periphery of the outlet orifice ( 54), which facilitates maintenance work related to the urinal. During use, the basket (51) is filled with the mixture of water and waste until said mixture reaches the level of the duct (52). In this way, the céspol (50) also functions as a hydraulic seal, which prevents the odors from the drain from moving towards the urinal (10).

On the other hand, Figure 6 illustrates an outer shell

(60) urinal, which is formed by a main body (61), an intermediate lip (62) and a rear wall (63). In addition, the housing (60) also has a defined opening (65) between the lip (62) and the rear wall (63), above the main body (61). In addition, Figure 7 shows a side sectional view of the housing (60) with the mentioned elements where In addition, a connection chamber (64) is observed that will allow the pipe connections (not shown) to be installed for the installation of the urinal of the present invention.

Finally, Figure 8 illustrates a side section of the outer shell (60) with the urinal (10) housed inside it. In this figure it can be seen how the lip (65) is also aligned with the third flange (19) in order to receive the user's urine through them. It also shows how the céspol system (50) finds an outlet through the back wall of the housing in order to discard the contents of the urinal (10). This urinal configuration (10) housed inside the outer casing (60) makes it easier to manufacture it, as well as the installation of the bathrooms, and improve the image towards the user.

In the manner described above and illustrated, the urinal described allows water to be reused from a sink, or other alternative source of water, in the discharge of the urinal, thus avoiding the use of drinking water for said purpose. Even in the case of the sink, the use of waste water from the sink provides the urinal with a continuous flow that keeps it clean. In accordance with this description, the urinal prevents the user from coming into contact with any lever or valve to carry out the discharge of the urinal. Also, the bad odors in the urinal and in the water source are eliminated due to the use of double hydraulic seal, corresponding to the tank (30) and the céspol system (50) integrated into the urinal (10). Additionally, the installation of the urinal of the present invention is improved because the céspol system (50) is already integrated to the urinal (10), which avoids having to make the connections of a céspol system separately. Also, because the urinal is housed inside its outer casing (60) this facilitates installation and substantially improves the aesthetic appearance of this urinal.

Based on the foregoing disclosure, certain embodiments and details have been described in order to illustrate the present invention, and it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that variations and modifications can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.

Claims

1. A urinal consisting of a body, a reservoir, a cover that receives an inlet pipe and a céspol system; where the body has: a first wall, a second wall, a third wall, a rear wall and a bottom that has an exit hole; characterized in that:

the first wall has a transition step towards the second wall;

the second wall ends at a certain height, where it bends outwards in a first inverted "U" flange and continues downwards to form a second "U" flange that folds back up and out forming third wall that when arriving at a certain height it bends outwards in a third upper flange, where a perimeter channel is formed between the third wall and the second "U" flange;

the reservoir that is superimposed on the back of the first flange, wherein the reservoir has at least one slit that allows fluid communication between the reservoir and the perimeter channel;

below the exit orifice is located a céspol constituted by a basket and a duct of waste that are integrated to the urinal;

and the urinal can be housed inside an outer casing.

2. The urinal according to claim 1, wherein the first, second and third walls are substantially curved following a partially cylindrical pattern, and the rear wall is straight and covers the height of the first, second and third walls.

3. The urinal according to claim 1, wherein the second wall is of greater amplitude and height than the first wall.

4. The urinal according to claim 1, wherein the walls are formed from a sheet piece.

5. The urinal according to claim 1, wherein the walls and flanges form a profile which is partially enveloped in revolution that constitutes the urinal body.

6. The urinal according to claim 1, wherein the body is formed in a smooth textured material with minimal porosity.

7. The urinal according to claim 1, wherein the body is formed in one piece and in ABS plastic.

8. The urinal according to claim 1, wherein the reservoir is substantially rectangular parallelepiped.

9. The urinal according to claim 1, wherein the slit is formed in the side walls of the reservoir.

10. The urinal according to claim 1, wherein the exit orifice is in a centered bottom position.

11. The urinal according to claim 1, wherein the bottom may be slightly concave, where its lowest point is in the exit orifice.

12. The urinal according to claim 1, wherein the inlet pipe can come from a sink outlet or can come from an alternative water source.

13. The urinal according to claim 1, wherein a grid stopper that rests on the periphery of the outlet orifice and partially protrudes downwards being housed in the basket of the céspol.

14. The urinal according to claim

13, where the grid plug is supported on the periphery of the outlet hole.

15. The urinal according to claim 1, wherein the outer shell is formed by a main body, an intermediate lip and a rear wall, wherein an opening is defined between the lip and the back wall, above the main body .

16. The urinal according to claim 1, wherein the outer shell also has a connection chamber to accommodate pipe connections.
