A device and method for managing an active Ethernet terminal power source, the device comprising: a power source monitoring module (101), configured to monitor the state of a power supply, send power supply abnormality information to a control module (102) when the power supply is abnormal, and control a power source storage module (103) to supply power when the control module (102) instructs a first power source module (104) and a second power source module (105) to switch; the control module (102), configured to instruct the first power source module (104) and the second power source module (105) to switch according to the information sent by the power source monitoring module (101); the power source storage module (103), configured to be controlled by the power source monitoring module (101) to supply power when the first power source module (104) and the second power source module (105) switch.
