Abstract

The invention relates to a collapsible packaging box, including a dish (2) comprising a base (20) having n sides, each of the sides being extended by a lip (22), a wall (1) having at least n sections (6, 8), each of which has a side intended to be placed against one of the lips (22), the dish (2) and said wall (1) being mutually independent elements, the sections (6, 8) being able to pivot with respect to one another, two sections (6, 8) having a free side (12, 14) such that the wall (1) can be opened in order to be disposed substantially in a plane, and at least two sections (6, 8), which are intended to be placed against lips (22) substantially opposite the dish (2), each having an overthickness (16) that is intended to be fitted in a recess (26) of complementary shape formed in the thickness of the corresponding lip (22).

Description

DISMOUNTABLE PACKING BOX

Technical area

The present invention relates to a removable packaging box, including the type having a wall associated with a bowl. A cover can be advantageously provided to close the box defined by the assembly of the wall and the bowl.

More specifically, the present invention relates to a removable packaging box comprising

a bowl comprising a bottom of substantially polygonal shape having a number n of sides, n being equal to or greater than 3, each of the sides being extended by a flange extending from the bottom in a direction substantially perpendicular to the bottom,

a wall having at least n pans, each of which has substantially the shape of a quadrilateral whose one side is intended to be placed against one of the edges of the bowl.

State of the art

[0003] Removable packaging boxes of this type are already known.

By way of example, US Pat. No. 6,029,885 describes the production of a box by folding a cardboard plate cut in an appropriate manner. In the solution described, the box comprises a bowl, a wall and a lid all made in one piece in the cardboard plate. Edges are integral with the bottom of the bowl and have sections of wall to be folded over the edges to strengthen the sides of the box. Some portions are covered with an adhesive to ensure the holding of the box after folding the plate.

Many similar solutions consisting in folding plates have been developed to provide demountable box constructions having a limited space when the box is unfolded. Different variants have been devised over time to simplify the folding of the plate, to improve the strength of the box when folded, to optimize the amount of raw material required for the realization of a given box or to improve the ability of a box to be unfolded and folded, preferably several times.

However, most of these solutions are designed to reduce the production costs of the corresponding boxes and result in an apparent poor quality for these boxes can be used as packaging for high-end products or luxury.

Disclosure of the invention

A main object of the present invention is to provide a packaging box construction alternative to those known from the prior art, proposing such a robust box and having particularly neat finishes, while being partially removable .

For this purpose, the present invention relates more particularly to a removable packaging box of the type indicated above, characterized

in that the bowl and the wall are elements that are independent of each other, the walls of the wall being connected in pairs by means of a hinge in such a way that the relative angle that they present between them can be modified, at least two sides having a free side so that the wall can be opened to be arranged substantially in a plane, and

in that at least two sides of the wall, intended to be placed against substantially opposite edges of the bowl, each have an extra thickness intended to be engaged in a recess of substantially complementary shape formed in the thickness of the corresponding flange.

Thanks to these features, the wall can be folded or unfolded without affecting its appearance and without harming the qualitative impression it can clear, to allow its use in the field of luxury. Indeed, it suffices that two of its sides are dissociable and that the sides are connected to each other by joints to allow its folding and unfolding, while also allowing the coating of qualitative cladding materials. In addition, the cooperation between the extra thicknesses carried by the walls of the wall and the corresponding recesses formed in the edges of the bowl, makes it possible to to guarantee a good robustness of the assembly between the wall and the bowl, similar to the level of robustness obtained when the wall and the bowl are formed in one piece.

According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the bowl can be packaged by being already mounted when delivered to the end user, to ensure a better level of finish than if it was still to bend, including because its structure can be coated with qualitative covering materials.

According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, it is possible for the wall to comprise at least a number m of panels with an excess thickness intended to be engaged in a recess of the bowl, m being equal to the smallest integer. greater than n / 2.

More preferably, the wall may comprise at least n sides having an extra thickness to be engaged in a recess of the bowl.

According to a preferred embodiment, it can be provided that the bowl carries at least one strapping arranged near the free side of its flanges to define the recesses, these being adjacent to its bottom.

Advantageously, the strapping can be continuous and extend substantially over all the flanges.

In general, the extra thicknesses can be defined by elongate cleats made integral with the wall and having a thickness substantially less than or equal to the depth of the recesses.

According to a preferred embodiment, each of the cleats has a length slightly less than the length of the corresponding pan.

In a particularly advantageous embodiment, the two walls of the wall having a free side comprise a locking device arranged in such a way that the two sides are made substantially integral with each other when the wall and the bowl are assembled. According to a preferred embodiment, the locking device is reversible and may advantageously comprise at least one permanent magnet secured to a first of the two faces having a free side and arranged in such a way that it cooperates with at least one magnet on the other of the two faces to give rise to a force of mutual attraction between the two faces.

Mode (s) of realization of the invention

The present invention relates to a removable packaging box preferably used to pack high-end or luxury items, such as shoes, clothes or bags, but not limited to.

A preferred embodiment will be described in connection with the figures, in a non-limiting manner. FIGS. 1 and 2 show simplified views, respectively from the front and in perspective, of a wall 1 intended to cooperate with a bowl 2 to form a box, as illustrated in the simplified top view of FIG. Figure 4 shows a simplified cross-sectional view on which the wall 1 is illustrated while it is placed in the bowl 2, while a lid 4 is also shown schematically, by way of non-limiting example. [0027] Figure 1 shows the wall 1 in a simplified front view, while it is unfolded and arranged in a plane.

The wall 1 here comprises four sections 6 and 8, by way of non-limiting illustration.

Each of the sections 6 and 8 has a rectangular shape. Two walls 6 here have a length greater than that of the other two walls 8, to form a box shaped parallelepiped rectangle.

The wall 1 is illustrated in Figure 1 while it is unfolded. In this configuration, it appears that the panels 6, 8 are connected in pairs by means of hinges 10, while two panels have a free side 12, 14.

For example, the panels 6, 8 of the wall 1 can be made by having a cardboard carcass, of a thickness of the order of one to a few millimeters, coated with a covering material such as a paper, a plastic film or a textile. Thus, the joints 10 may be simply constituted by the absence of carcass in the appropriate places. With such a construction, the panels 6, 8 are pivotable relative to each other.

Alternatively, the carcass may of course be made of any other suitable material, that is to say sufficiently rigid while having a reduced thickness. The skilled person will not encounter any particular difficulty to choose for example a rigid plastic, a wood or even wood fiber (MDF, "Medium Density Fiberboard" or HDF, "High Density Fiberboard") without departing from the scope of the invention.

Each of the panels 6, 8 of the wall 1 here carries a cleat adjacent to its lower edge, that is to say its edge intended to cooperate with the bowl 2, the cleats defining overthicknesses 16 whose function will be exposed further. Each cleat has a length slightly less than that of the pan that carries it.

In addition, the free sides 12, 14 end panels each carry two permanent magnets 18, arranged in pairs at the same height from the lower edge. The magnets 18 may advantageously be glued directly to the carcass of the wall 1 and covered with the covering material. The perspective view of Figure 2, illustrating the wall 1 while close to being closed, allows to present the function of the magnets 18 which are positioned next to each other to ensure the locking of two end wall sections, when the free sides 12, 14 are brought closer to each other.

It is also apparent from Figure 2 that the closing direction of the wall 1 is such that the extra thicknesses 16 are located outside the wall 1 when closed.

Figure 3 illustrates how the wall 1 is put in place in the bowl 2 to form the box according to the present invention.

The two end panels each have an angle less than 90 degrees relative to their respective neighbor. The wall 1 can thus be inserted into the bowl 2, before the end panels are removed from their adjacent panels, to be positioned at right angles and lock each other by means of the permanent magnets 18.

The fact of having cleats of reduced length with reference to the corresponding wall sections makes it easier to insert the wall into the bowl, especially avoiding any problem of collision with the corners of the bowl.

The cross-sectional view of Figure 4 illustrates how the wall 1 is secured to the bowl 2, thanks to the construction of the present invention.

The bowl 2 comprises a bottom 20, polygonal - rectangular here - from which extend the flanges 22, at right angles to the bottom 20 of the bowl 2.

24 continuous rim is affixed to the inner face of the flanges 22, all around the bowl 2 and near the free side of the flanges 22, so that it can define recesses 26 adjacent to the bottom 20 of the bowl 2.

The thickness of the strapping 24 is greater than or equal to the thickness of the cleats defining the extra thicknesses 16 on the wall 1. Thus, as shown in Figure 4, when the wall 1 is placed in the bowl 2, the cleats fit into the recesses 26 to ensure the securing the wall 1 in the bowl 2. The permanent magnets 18 lock this assembly, as explained above.

There is also illustrated an optional cover 4, in Figure 4, which also improves the robustness of the assembly, in a conventional manner.

The cover 4 could be made in one piece with the wall 1. However, preferably, it is also achieved independently, as are the wall 1 and the bowl 2, to allow the implementation of a superior quality of finish.

The bowl 2 and the lid 4 may in fact have similar structures, including in particular a carcass such as that of the wall 1, which is coated with a covering material similar to that of the wall 1, that is, to say a paper, a plastic film or a textile.

The cover 4 may also include a strapping 28 to improve its perceived quality and rigidity.

With the present invention, there is obtained a box whose perceived quality can be high, as well as its robustness, which makes it particularly suitable for packaging high-end or luxury items. In addition, the present invention allows a simple partial disassembly of the box to reduce its size advantageously, without risk of damaging the components, which i warrants good behavior over time even if the box would be removed. and gone up a lot of times.

The foregoing description attempts to describe a particular embodiment by way of non-limiting illustration and, the invention is not limited to the implementation of certain particular features which have just been described, as for example the shapes and materials illustrated and described for the bowl and its edges, for the wall and its sides or for the lid. Indeed, in general, the bowl has a bottom of substantially polygonal shape with n sides (n being equal to or greater than three) without departing from the scope of the invention. Similarly, the walls of the wall 1 are advantageously in the form of quadrilaterals and the same number as the number of sides n of the bottom of the bowl. Note that the assembly between the wall and the bowl can be achieved when the wall has two thickenings cooperating with recesses formed in the thickness of two flanges of the bowl, these overthickness being preferably arranged to cooperate with substantially opposite edges of the bowl. Of course, the strength of the assembly is improved when the number of oversize increases and it is more advantageous to provide one per pan.

Furthermore, the locking device of the end sections of the wall has been described here in the form of permanent magnets, but the skilled person will not encounter any particular difficulty to implement any other suitable locking device. without departing from the scope of the invention, such as snaps or Velcro strips (trademark).

The skilled person will not encounter any particular difficulty to adapt the content of the present disclosure to his own needs and implement a removable packaging box having at least one wall, which can be opened to be unfolded , associated with a bowl and comprising extra thicknesses intended to cooperate with recesses of the bowl to ensure the assembly of the wall and the bowl, without departing from the scope of the present invention.

Claims

Removable packaging box, comprising

a bowl (2) comprising a bottom (20) of substantially polygonal shape having a number n of sides, n being equal to or greater than 3, each of said sides being extended by a flange (22) extending from said bottom (20); ) in a direction substantially perpendicular to the bottom (20), a wall (1) having at least n sides (6, 8), each of which has substantially the shape of a quadrilateral one side of which is intended to be placed against one said flanges (22) of said bowl (2),

characterized in that said bowl (2) and said wall (1) are elements independent of one another, said panels (6, 8) of said wall (1) being connected in pairs by means of a hinge (10) such that the relative angle between them can be changed, at least two sides (6, 8) having a free side (12, 14) such that said wall (1) can be opened to be arranged substantially in a plane, and in that at least two sides (6, 8) of said wall (1), intended to be placed against substantially opposite edges (22) of said bowl (2), each have an extra thickness (16) intended to be engaged in a recess (26) of substantially complementary shape formed in the thickness of said flange (22) corresponding.

Box according to claim 1, characterized in that said wall (1) comprises at least a number m of panels (6, 8) having an excess thickness (16) intended to be engaged in a recess (26) of said bowl (2) , m being equal to the smallest integer greater than n / 2.

Box according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that said wall (1) comprises at least n sides (6, 8) having an extra thickness (16) intended to be engaged in a recess (26) of said bowl (2).

Box according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said bowl (2) carries at least one strapping (24) arranged close to the free side of said flanges (22) to define said recesses (26), these being adjacent said bottom (20) of said bowl (2).

Box according to claim 4, characterized in that said strapping (24) is continuous and extends substantially over all of said flanges (22).

6. Box according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said overthicknesses (16) are defined by elongated lugs made integral with said wall (1) and having a thickness substantially equal to or less than the depth of said recesses (26).

7. Box according to claim 6, characterized in that each of said cleats has a length slightly less than the length of said pan (6, 8) corresponding.

Box according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said two panels (6, 8) of the wall (1) having a free side (12, 14) comprise a locking device (18) arranged in such a way that said two panels (6, 8) are made substantially integral with each other when said wall (1) and said bowl (2) are assembled.

9. Box according to claim 8, characterized in that said locking device (18) is reversible.

10. Box according to claim 8 or 9, characterized in that said locking device (18) comprises at least one permanent magnet secured to a first of said two panels (6, 8) having a free side (12, 14) and arranged in such a way that it cooperates with at least one magnet of the other of said two panels (6, 8) to give rise to a force of mutual attraction between said two panels (6, 8).
