먼저, 보호 컨덕터(protective conductor, PE 컨덕터)의 전기적인 연속성(electrical continuity)을 검출하는 것이다(detection of the electrical continuity of the protective conductor).
다음으로, 차량이 적절하게 연결되어 있는지를 입증하는 것이다(verification that the vehicle is properly connected).
다음으로, 차량에 전력 공급을 위한 전원을 제공하는 것이다(energization of power supply to the vehicle).
다음으로, 차량에 전력 공급을 위한 전원을 단절하는 것이다(de-energization of the power supply to the vehicle).
Figure PCTKR2016004345-appb-T000001

인터페이스는 CP(Control Pilot) 및 PD(Proximity Detection)을 위한 컨택트를 더 포함할 수 있다.
한편, 도시되지 않았으나, 메인 컨트롤러(114)는 CAN(Controller Area Network) 인터페이스를 통하여 전기 자동차(10)의 ECU(Electronic Control Unit, 200)에게 충돌 감지 신호를 전달할 수 있다.
