At an opposite side portion of second engagement face 1240 there are formed a pair of recesses 1241, 1242 dent into engagement face 1240, and a projection 1248 raised from second engagement face 1240 and positioned between recesses 1241, 1242.   • EMI shield 150 is used to fasten the first terminal module 130, the second terminal module 120 and plate 140 together.
  • EMI shield 150 is a stamp formed metal element with a first end 152 and a second end 154. Prior to assembling to first and second terminal modules 134 and 124, EMI shield 150 is in an opened ring shape with first end 152 and second end 154 separated apart from each other, providing a broader inner space 156 for easy placement of first terminal module 134, second terminal module 124 and plate 140 therein.
  • FIG. 4C show a USB plug connector 500 according to one embodiment of the present invention, which can be mate with a USB receptacle connector as hereinabove described.
  • USB plug connector 500 comprises a housing 550, a first terminal module 530 and a second terminal module 520 disposed in housing 550, and plate 540 disposed between first terminal module 530 and second terminal module 520.

  • Second terminals 522 includes second ground terminals 5222 and 5224 disposed at outmost positions, and second signal and power terminals 5226 between second ground terminals 5222, 5224.
  • Each of the second ground terminals 5222, 5224 has a second contact arm 5222A, 5224A extending toward plate 140.
  • First terminal module 530 is attached to a first surface 540A of plate 540.
  • Second terminal module 520 is attached to an opposite second surface 540B of plate 540.
  • First and second contact arms 5322A, 5324A and 5222A, 5224A are resiliency deflected to bias against first surface 540A and second surface 540B of plate 540, respectively. Accordingly, first and second ground terminals 5322, 5324 and 5222, 5224 are brought into electrical contact with plate 540 hence are electrically connected to each other.
