Description

전도성 구조체 및 이의 제조방법
본 명세서는 전도성 구조체 및 이의 제조방법에 관한 것이다.
본 출원은 2015년 3월 25일에 한국특허청에 제출된 한국 특허 출원 제 10-2015-0041786호의 출원일의 이익을 주장하며, 그 내용 전부는 본 명세서에 포함된다.
일반적으로, 터치 패널은 신호의 검출 방식에 따라 다음과 같이 분류할 수 있다. 즉, 직류 전압을 인가한 상태에서 압력에 의해 눌려진 위치를 전류 또는 전압 값의 변화를 통해 감지하는 저항막 방식(resistive type)과, 교류 전압을 인가한 상태에서 캐패시턴스 커플링(capacitance coupling)을 이용하는 정전 용량 방식(capacitive type)과, 자계를 인가한 상태에서 선택된 위치를 전압의 변화로서 감지하는 전자 유도 방식(electromagnetic type) 등이 있다.
상용화된 터치 스크린 패널(touch screen panel)은 ITO 박막을 기반으로 사용하고 있으나, 대면적 터치 스크린 패널 적용시 ITO 투명 전극 자체의 면저항으로 인해 터치 인식 속도가 느려진다는 단점을 안고 있었다. 이에 따라, 상기 투명 ITO 박막을 대체하기 위한 기술로서 터치 스크린 패널의 전극용으로 사용되는 메탈메쉬(metal mesh)가 제시되었다. 하지만, 메탈 메쉬의 경우, 높은 반사도로 인하여 패턴이 사람의 눈에 잘 나타나는 시인성 측면의 문제와 함께 외부 광에 대한 높은 반사도로 인하여 눈부심 등이 일어날 수 있는 문제 등을 개선하기 위한 노력이 필요하다.

본 발명자들은 ITO 필름을 대체하기 위한 메탈 메쉬의 눈부심 현상을 방지하기 위하여 광반사 저감층을 형성하는 경우, 연성 회로기판(FPCB; flexible printed circuit board)과 연결되는 패드부를 구성하는 전도성 라인 상에 광반사 저감층이 구비되어, 연성 회로기판(FPCB; flexible printed circuit board)과 접촉 저항이 증가되고, 나아가 고온 및 고습 환경에서 패드부의 성능 저하가 야기되는 문제점을 발견하였다.
이에 따라, 본 발명자들은 본 명세서의 일 실시상태에 따른 전도성 구조체를 개발하였다. 구체적으로, 본 명세서의 일 실시상태에 따른 전도성 구조체는 화면부를 구성하는 전도성 라인의 눈부심 효과를 감소시킬 뿐 아니라, 패드부를 구성하는 전도성 라인의 접속저항을 낮추어 패드부의 성능을 향상시키고, 패드부의 불량을 최소화할 수 있다.
이하, 본 명세서에 대하여 더욱 상세하게 설명한다.

상기 제2 광반사 저감층은 상기 제1 광반사 저감층에 비하여 광반사도가 높은 특성을 가지게 되지만, 상기 제1 광반사 저감층과 함께 적층되는 경우 상기 전도성 라인의 광반사도는 눈부심 효과가 없을 정도의 시인성을 가지게 된다.

상기 소멸계수 k는 흡수계수(Absorption Coefficient)라고도 하며, 특정 파장에서 전도성 구조체가 빛을 얼마나 강하게 흡수하는지를 정의할 수 있는 척도로서, 전도성 구조체의 투과도를 결정하는 요소이다. 예를 들어, 투명한 유전체(dielectric) 물질인 경우, k < 0.2로 k값이 매우 작다. 그러나, 물질 내부에 금속 성분이 증가할수록 k값이 증가하게 된다. 만약, 더욱 더 금속 성분이 많아지면, 투과가 거의 일어나지 않고, 대부분 표면 반사만 일어나는 금속이 되며, 소멸계수 k는 2.5 초과가 되므로 광반사 저감층의 형성에는 바람직하지 않다.

본 명세서의 일 실시상태에 따르면, 상기 기재는 특별히 한정되지 않으며, 당 기술분야에 알려진 재료를 이용할 수 있다. 본 명세서의 일 실시상태에 따르면, 상기 투명 기재는 투명 기재이면 어느 것이든 무방하며, 예를 들어, 유리 또는 폴리에틸렌테레프탈레이트(PET), 폴리카보네이트(PC) 또는 폴리아미드(PA)일 수 있다.
본 명세서의 일 실시상태에 따르면, 상기 투명 기재와 상기 금속층 사이에 투명 전도성층이 더 구비될 수 있다.
본 명세서의 일 실시상태에 따르면, 상기 투명 전도성층으로는 투명 전도성 산화물층이 사용될 수 있다. 상기 투명 전도성 산화물로는 인듐 산화물, 아연 산화물, 인듐주석 산화물, 인듐아연 산화물, 인듐아연주석 산화물 및 비결정성 투명 전도성 고분자 등을 사용할 수 있으며, 이들 중 1 종 또는 2종 이상이 함께 사용될 수 있으나, 이에만 한정되는 것은 아니다. 본 명세서의 일 실시상태에 따르면, 상기 투명 전도성층은 인듐주석산화물층일 수 있다.
본 명세서의 일 실시상태에 따르면, 상기 투명 전도성층의 두께는 15 ㎚ 이상 20 ㎚ 이하일 수 있으나, 이에만 한정되는 것은 아니다. 상기 투명 전도성층은 전술한 투명 전도성층용 재료를 이용하여 증착 공정 또는 인쇄 공정을 이용하여 형성될 수 있다.
본 명세서의 일 실시상태는, 전술한 전도성 구조체의 제조방법을 제공한다.
본 명세서의 일 실시상태는, 기재를 준비하는 단계; 상기 기재 상에 금속층을 형성하는 단계; 상기 금속층 상에 제1 광반사 저감층을 형성하는 단계; 상기 제1 광반사 저감층 상에 제2 광반사 저감층을 형성하는 단계; 및 상기 금속층, 상기 제1 광반사 저감층 및 상기 제2 광반사 저감층을 패터닝하여, 화면부, 배선부, 패드부를 구성하는 전도성 라인을 형성하는 패터닝 단계를 포함하는 상기 전도성 구조체의 제조방법을 제공한다.
본 명세서의 일 실시상태에 따르면, 상기 금속층을 형성하는 단계는, 상기 기재의 일면 상에 전면층으로 형성하는 것일 수 있다.
본 명세서의 일 실시상태에 따르면, 상기 제1 광반사 저감층을 형성하는 단계는, 상기 금속층의 일면 상에 전면층으로 형성하는 것일 수 있다.
명세서의 일 실시상태에 따르면, 상기 제2 광반사 저감층을 형성하는 단계는, 상기 제1 광반사 저감층의 일면 상에 전면층으로 형성하는 것일 수 있다.
상기 전면층이란, 대상 부재가 형성되는 하부의 부재의 일면의 80 % 이상의 면적 상에 물리적으로 연속되는 하나의 측 또는 막이 형성된 것을 의미할 수 있다. 구체적으로, 상기 전면층은 패턴화가 되기 전의 하나의 층을 의미할 수 있다.
본 명세서의 일 실시상태에 따르면, 상기 금속층을 형성하는 단계, 상기 제1 광반사 저감층을 형성하는 단계, 및 상기 제2 광반사 저감층을 형성하는 단계는 각각 증착(evaporation), 스퍼터링(sputtering), 습식 코팅, 증발, 전해 도금 또는 무전해 도금, 금속박의 라미네이션 등의 방법을 이용할 수 있다. 구체적으로, 본 명세서의 일 실시상태에 따르면, 상기 금속층을 형성하는 단계, 상기 제1 광반사 저감층을 형성하는 단계, 및 상기 제2 광반사 저감층을 형성하는 단계는 각각 증착 또는 스퍼터링 방법을 이용할 수 있다.
또한, 본 명세서의 일 실시상태에 따르면, 상기 금속층을 형성하는 단계, 상기 제1 광반사 저감층을 형성하는 단계, 및 상기 제2 광반사 저감층을 형성하는 단계는 인쇄방법을 이용하는 것일 수 있다. 상기 인쇄방법에 의하여 상기 금속층, 상기 제1 광반사 저감층 및 상기 제2 광반사 저감층을 형성하는 경우, 금속을 포함하는 잉크 또는 페이스트를 이용할 수 있으며, 상기 페이스트는 금속 이외에, 바인더 수지, 용매, 글래스 프릿 등을 더 포함할 수도 있다.
본 명세서의 일 실시상태에 따르면, 상기 패터닝 단계는, 상기 금속층, 상기 제1 광반사 저감층 및 상기 제2 광반사 저감층을 동시에 패터닝하는 것일 수 있다.
본 명세서의 일 실시상태에 따르면, 상기 패터닝 단계는 에칭 레지스트(Etching resist) 특성을 갖는 재료를 이용할 수 있다. 에칭 레지스트는 인쇄법, 포토리소그래피법, 포토그래피법, 건식 필름 레지스트 방법, 습식 레지스트 방법, 마스크를 이용한 방법 또는 레이저 전사, 예컨대, 열 전사 이미징(thermal transfer imaging) 등을 이용하여 레지스트 패턴을 형성할 수 있으며, 구체적으로, 건식 필름 레지스트 방법을 이용할 수 있다. 다만, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니다. 상기 에칭 레지스트 패턴을 이용하여 상기 금속층, 상기 제1 광반사 저감층 및 상기 제2 광반사 저감층을 에칭하여 패터닝하고, 상기 에칭 레지스트 패턴은 스트립(strip) 공정에 의해 쉽게 제거할 수 있다.
본 명세서의 일 실시상태에 따르면, 상기 패터닝 단계는, 에칭액을 이용하여 상기 금속층, 상기 제1 광반사 저감층 및 상기 제2 광반사 저감층을 일괄 에칭하는 것일 수 있다.
본 명세서의 일 실시상태에 따른 제조방법에 있어서, 상기 금속층, 상기 제1 광반사 저감층 및 상기 제2 광반사 저감층이 동종의 금속을 포함하는 경우, 상기 금속층, 상기 제1 광반사 저감층 및 상기 제2 광반사 저감층은 동일한 에천트를 이용하여 식각을 할 수 있으므로, 상기 금속층과 상기 각각의 광반사 저감층을 일괄 에칭할 수 있는 장점 또한 가지고 있다. 구체적으로, 본 명세서의 일 실시상태에 따르면, 상기 금속층, 상기 제1 광반사 저감층 및 상기 제2 광반사 저감층은 각각 Al을 포함할 수 있으며, 상기 에칭액은 Al 에천드일 수 있고, 당업계에서 일반적으로 사용되는 에칭액은 제한 없이 사용될 수 있다.
본 명세서의 일 실시상태는 상기 전도성 구조체를 포함하는 터치 패널을 제공한다. 상기 터치 패널은 터치 스크린 패널과 동일한 의미를 내포한다. 예컨대, 정전용량식 터치 패널에 있어서, 상기 본 명세서의 일 실시상태에 다른 전도성 구조체는 터치 감응식 전극 기판으로 사용될 수 있다.
또한, 본 명세서의 일 실시상태는 상기 터치 패널을 포함하는 디스플레이 장치를 제공한다.
본 명세서에서, 디스플레이 장치란 TV나 컴퓨터용 모니터 등을 통틀어 일컫는 말로서, 화상을 형성하는 디스플레이 소자 및 디스플레이 소자를 지지하는 케이스를 포함한다.
본 명세서의 일 실시상태에 따른 터치 스크린 패널은 전술한 전도성 구조체 이외에 추가의 구조체를 더 포함할 수 있다. 이 경우, 2개의 구조체가 서로 같은 방향으로 배치될 수도 있으며, 2개의 구조체가 서로 반대 방향으로 배치될 수도 있다. 상기 터치 스크린 패널에 포함될 수 있는 2개 이상의 구조체는 동일한 구조일 필요는 없으며, 어느 하나, 바람직하게는 사용자에 가장 가까운 측의 구조체만 전술한 전도성 구조체를 포함하는 것이기만 할 수 있으며, 추가로 포함되는 구조체는 광반사 저감층을 포함하지 않아도 된다. 또한, 2개 이상의 구조체 내의 층 적층 구조가 서로 상이해도 된다. 2개 이상의 구조체가 포함되는 경우 이들 사이에는 절연층이 구비될 수 있다. 이 때 절연층은 점착층의 기능이 추가로 부여될 수도 있다.
본 명세서의 일 실시상태에 따른 터치 스크린 패널은 하부 기재; 상부 기재; 및 상기 하부 기재의 상부 기재에 접하는 면 및 상기 상부 기재의 하부 기재에 접하는 면 중 어느 한 면 또는 양면에 구비된 전극층을 포함할 수 있다. 상기 전극층은 각각 X축 위치 검출 및 Y축 위치 검출 기능을 할 수 있다.
이 때, 상기 하부 기재 및 상기 하부 기재의 상부 기재에 접하는 면에 구비된 전극층; 및 상기 상부 기재 및 상기 상부 기재의 하부 기재에 접하는 면에 구비된 전극층 중 하나 또는 두 개 모두가 전술한 본 명세서의 일 실시상태에 따른 전도성 구조체일 수 있다. 상기 전극층 중 어느 하나만이 본 명세서의 일 실시상태에 따른 따른 전도성 구조체인 경우, 나머지 다른 하나는 당 기술분야에 알려져 있는 전도성 패턴을 가질 수 있다.
상기 상부 기재와 상기 하부 기재 모두의 일면에 전극층이 구비되어 2층의 전극층이 형성되는 경우, 상기 전극층의 간격을 일정하기 유지하고 접속이 일어나지 않도록 상기 하부 기재와 상부 기재 사이에 절연층 또는 스페이서가 구비될 수 있다. 상기 절연층은 점착제 또는 UV 혹은 열 경화성 수지를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 터치 스크린 패널은 전술한 전도성 구조체 중의 전도성층의 패턴과 연결된 접지부를 더 포함할 수 있다. 예컨대, 상기 접지부는 상기 기재의 전도성층의 패턴이 형성된 면의 가장자리부에 형성될 수 있다. 또한,상기 전도성 구조체를 포함하는 적층재의 적어도 일면에는 반사 방지 필름, 편광 필름 및 내지문 필름 중 적어도 하나가 구비될 수 있다. 설계사양에 따라 전술한 기능성 필름 이외에 다른 종류의 기능성 필름을 더 포함할 수도 있다. 상기와 같은 터치 스크린 패널은 OLED 디스플레이 패널(OLED Display Panel), 액정 디스플레이(Liquid Crystal Display, LCD), 음극선관(Cathode-Ray Tube, CRT) 및 PDP와 같은 디스플레이 장치에 적용될 수 있다.
본 명세서의 일 실시상태에 따른 터치 스크린 패널에 있어서, 상기 기재의 양면에 각각 전도성 패턴층 및 광반사 저감층이 구비될 수 있다.
본 명세서의 일 실시상태에 따른 터치 스크린 패널은 상기 전도성 구조체 상에 전극부 또는 패드부를 추가로 포함할 수 있으며. 이 때 유효화면부와 전극부 및 패드부는 동일한 전도체로 구성될 수 있다.
본 명세서의 일 실시상태에 따른 터치 스크린 패널에 있어서, 상기 광반사 저감층은 사용자가 바라보는 측에 구비될 수 있다.
본 명세서의 일 실시상태는 상기 전도성 구조체를 포함하는 디스플레이 장치를 제공한다. 상기 디스플레이 장치에서 컬러필터 기판 또는 박막 트랜지스터 기판 등에 본 출원의 하나의 실시상태에 따른 전도성 구조체가 사용될 수 있다.
본 명세서의 일 실시상태는 상기 전도성 구조체를 포함하는 태양 전지를 제공한다. 예컨대, 태양 전지는 애노드 전극, 캐소드 전극, 광활성층, 정공 수송층 및/또는 전자 수송층을 포함할 수 있는데, 본 출원의 하나의 실시상태에 따는 전도성 구조체는 상기 애노드 전극 및/또는 캐소드 전극으로 사용될 수 있다.
상기 전도성 구조체는 디스플레이 장치 또는 태양 전지에서 종래의 ITO를 대체할 수 있고, 플렉서블(flexible) 가능 용도로 활용할 수 있다. 또한, CNT, 전도성 고분자, 그래핀(Graphene) 등과 함께 차세대 투명 전극으로 활용할 수 있다.
이하, 본 명세서를 구체적으로 설명하기 위해 실시예를 들어 상세하게 설명하기로 한다. 그러나, 본 명세서에 따른 실시예들은 여러 가지 다른 형태로 변형될 수 있으며, 본 명세서의 범위가 아래에서 기술하는 실시예들에 한정되는 것으로 해석되지 않는다. 본 명세서의 실시예들은 당업계에서 평균적인 지식을 가진 자에게 본 명세서를 보다 완전하게 설명하기 위해 제공되는 것이다.
[실시예 및 비교예]
금속층, 제1 광반사 저감층 및 제2 광반사 저감층을 제조하기 위하여, 본 실시예에서는 스퍼터링 방법을 이용하여 증착을 진행하였다. 그 후 제1 광반사 저감층 및 제2 광반사 저감층의 광굴절률 및 흡수계수를 엘립소미터를 이용하여 측정하였다. 측정된 광굴절률 및 흡수계수를 이용하여 광반사 시뮬레이션 프로그램을 이용하여 표 1과 같은 두께에서의 400 nm 내지 700 nm 파장에 대한 반사율을 확인하였다.
또한, 비교예의 경우, 제2 광반사 저감층을 형성하지 않은 것을 제외하고, 상기 실시예와 동일한 방법으로 광반사 시뮬레이션을 시행하였다.

상기 표 1과 같은 두께의 실시예에 따른 전도성 구조체의 광반사도는 도 3에 나타내었다. 또한, 상기 표 1과 같은 두께의 비교예에 따른 전도성 구조체의 광반사도는 도 4에 나타내었다.
도 3 및 도 4에 따르면, 실시예에 따라 제조된 전도성 구조체의 광반사도는 비교예에 따른 전도성 구조체의 광반사도에 비하여 전 파장 범위에서 낮게 형성되는 것을 알 수 있다.
전도성 구조체에 있어서, 본딩시의 접속저항은 FPCB와 접하는 최외각의 광반사 저감층의 비저항 값에 의하여 결정될 수 있다. 그러므로, 실시예에 따른 전도성 구조체는 전도성이 우수한 제2 광반사 저감층에 의하여 비교예에 따른 전도성 구조체에 비하여 본딩시 접속 저항이 우수한 것을 유추할 수 있다.
구체적으로, 실시예 및 비교예가 동일한 두께의 광반사 저감층을 각각 구비하는 경우, 제2 광반사 저감층을 구비한 실시예에 따른 전도성 적층체의 접속 저항이 더 낮아지게 된다. 나아가, 실시예에 따른 전도성 구조체는 비교예에 비하여 안정적으로 낮은 반사율을 나타내어 낮은 접속 저항과 함께, 화면부에서의 시인성도 우수한 것을 유추할 수 있다.

Claims (19)

  1. 기재; 및 상기 기재 상에 구비된 화면부, 배선부, 패드부를 구성하는 전도성 라인을 포함하고,
    상기 전도성 라인은 금속층, 상기 금속층 상에 구비된 제1 광반사 저감층, 및 상기 제1 광반사 저감층 상에 구비된 제2 광반사 저감층을 포함하며,
    상기 제1 광반사 저감층 및 상기 제2 광반사 저감층은 알루미늄 질산화물을 포함하고,
    상기 제2 광반사 저감층의 질소 원자의 원소함량은 상기 제1 광반사 저감층의 질소 원자의 원소함량보다 적은 것인 전도성 구조체.
  2. 청구항 1에 있어서,
    상기 제2 광반사 저감층은 하기 식 1의 값이 0.5 이상 0.7 이하를 만족하는 알루미늄 질산화물을 포함하는 것인 전도성 구조체:

    상기 전도성 라인의 소멸계수(k)는 633 ㎚ 파장의 빛에서 1.2 이상 2.2 이하인 것인 전도성 구조체.
  9. 청구항 1에 있어서,
    상기 전도성 라인의 굴절률(n)은 600 ㎚ 파장의 빛에서 2 이상 2.4 이하인 것인 전도성 구조체.
  10. 청구항 1에 있어서,
    상기 패드부를 구성하는 전도성 라인 상에 연성 회로기판(FPCB; flexible printed circuit board)을 더 구비하는 것인 전도성 구조체.
  11. 청구항 10에 있어서,
    상기 패드부를 구성하는 전도성 라인과 상기 연성 회로기판(FPCB; flexible printed circuit board) 사이에 이방성 도전필름(ACF; anisotropic conductive film)을 더 포함하는 것인 전도성 구조체.

    상기 화면부는 복수의 개구부와 이를 구획하는 상기 전도성 라인을 포함하는 전도성 패턴을 포함하는 것인 전도성 구조체.

    상기 화면부를 구성하는 전도성 라인의 선폭은 0.1 ㎛ 이상 100 ㎛ 이하인 것인 전도성 구조체.

  17. 청구항 16에 있어서,
    상기 패터닝 단계는, 상기 금속층, 상기 제1 광반사 저감층 및 상기 제2 광반사 저감층을 동시에 패터닝하는 것인 전도성 구조체의 제조방법.
  18. 청구항 1 내지 15 중 어느 한 항에 따른 전도성 구조체를 포함하는 터치 패널.
  19. 청구항 18에 따른 터치 패널을 포함하는 디스플레이 장치.
