Abstract

본 발명은 비디오 신호(video signal)를 위한 비트스트림을 디코딩하기 위한 방법 및 이를 위한 장치에 관한 것으로서, 현재 블록의 분할 방식을 지시하는 분할 모드 정보를 상기 비트스트림으로부터 획득하는 단계, 상기 분할 방식은 현재 블록이 분할되지 않는 제1 방식, 현재 블록이 수직 방향으로 2개의 블록으로 분할되는 제2 방식, 현재 블록이 수평 방향으로 2개의 블록으로 분할되는 제3 방식, 및 현재 블록이 수직 및 수평 방향으로 4개의 블록으로 분할되는 제4 방식을 포함하며; 상기 분할 모드 정보가 제1 방식을 지시하는 경우: 현재 블록을 위한 예측 모드 정보를 상기 비트스트림으로부터 획득하고 예측 모드 정보에 기초하여 현재 블록을 디코딩하는 단계; 및 상기 분할 모드 정보가 제2 방식 또는 제3 방식 또는 제4 방식을 지시하는 경우: 현재 블록을 재귀적으로 분할하는 단계를 포함하는 방법 및 이를 위한 장치에 관한 것이다.
