Abstract

The invention refers to the production of sparkling wine from specific grape varieties (assyrtiko, malagouzia, athiri and chardonnay) with organic Kozani saffron for the purpose of creating a new type of wine. The organic Kozani saffron is added during the first fermentation for the production of sparkling wine (Prosecco, Cava, Sekt) or during the second fermentation for the production of fine sparkling wine (Champagne).

Description

Natural Sparkling Wine with Organic Kozani Saffron
The invention refers to the production of sparkling wine from specific grape varieties with organic Kozani saffron (krokos from Kozani) for the purpose of creating a new type of wine.
The nutritional outcome, the taste and color of wines with organic Kozani saffron is greatly differentiated.
At times there have been various wines containing other ingredients and saffron (safran), but no sparkling wine exclusively with organic Kozani saffron.
Wine with dozens of nutrients and saffron with the purpose of healthy diet (CN10291 1831A, CN101555447A, CN1706929A, CN1 148622A, CN103834520A, CN1441049A).
Wine with honey, saffron, etc. with sedative, tonic and other properties (CN101 130738A, CN101130737A, CN1261625A).
Wine-liqueur with saffron, etc. for use as a beverage (CN1219582A).
This invention refers to the production of sparkling wine from specific grape varieties with organic Kozani saffron for the purpose of creating a new type of wine.
The sparkling wine comes from assyrtiko grape varieties at a 15-35% ratio, malagouzia at a 15-35% ratio, athiri at a 15-35% ratio and chardonnay at a 15- 35% ratio.
The organic Kozani saffron, an addition of 10-20mg (milligrams) per litre, is added during the first fermentation for the production of sparkling wine (Prosecco, Cava, etc.) or during the second fermentation for the production of fine sparkling wine (Champagne).
Adding organic Kozani saffron gives high nutritional value to the wine. It also differentiates largely its taste and color. The outcome is a wine suitable for food accompaniment, a suitable base for mixing in cocktails, which constitutes an alternative natural energy drink.
The natural sparkling wine with organic Kozani saffron bears the qualities of saffron, its anti-oxidant, anti-thrombotic and anticancer action.

Claims

1. Sparkling wine characterized by the grape varieties assyrtiko at a 15-35% ratio, malagouzia at a 15-35% ratio, athiri at a 15-35% ratio and chardonnay at a 15-35% ratio and with the addition of 10-20mg (milligrams) per litre of organic Kozani saffron.
2. Sparkling wine in accordance with claim 1 characterized by the fact that the organic Kozani Saffron is added during the first fermentation for the production of sparkling wine (Prosecco, Cava, etc.) or during the second fermentation for the production of fine sparkling wine (Champagne).
