Abstract

The invention subject to the application is related to an isolation set used in vehicles that enable the disabled to climb into the vehicle which prevents the clogging of discharge means, and which discharges the water and dirt accumulated on the step of the disabled lift, out of the vehicle in a controlled manner and prevents the entrance of water, dirt created depending on said water (ice, slurry, corrosion etc) and accumulated foreign matter into the luggage compartment.

Description

DESCRI PTI ON
Dl SABLED LI FT STEP I SOLATI ON SET
Technical Field of the I nvention
The invention subject to the application is related to an isolation set used in vehicles that enable the disabled to climb into the vehicle which prevents the clogging of discharge recesses, and which discharges the water and dirt accumulated on the step of the disabled lift, out of the vehicle in a controlled manner and prevents the entrance of water, dirt created depending on said water (ice, slurry, corrosion etc) and accumulated foreign matter into the luggage compartment.
Known State of the Art ( Prior Art)
The water and dirt (ice, slurry, corrosion etc.) and other foreign accumulated depending on said water on the step of the disabled lift in vehicles (mass transportation vehicles etc.) which enable the disabled to climb into the vehicle in the known state of the art, usually enters into the luggage compartment of the vehicle and clogs the discharge means. Said dirt accumulation and foreign matter also prevent the disabled lift mechanism to function efficiently and the malfunctions that occur prevent the disabled people from climbing into the vehicle.
The mechanisms used in the known state of the art in order to overcome this technical problem are applications which are generally directed in changing the entire disabled lift design, wherein the application of the expensive developments provided to solve this simple problem have usually been limited. The inventions subject to the patent documents numbered JP3101522B2 and EP1 1 62165A1 can be given as examples to these developments.
Brief Description of the I nvention and its Aims
The invention subject to the application is related to an isolation set used in vehicles that enable the disabled to climb into the vehicle which prevents the clogging of discharge means, and which discharges the water and dirt accumulated on the step of the disabled lift, out of the vehicle in a controlled manner and prevents the entrance of water, dirt created depending on said water (ice, slurry, corrosion etc) and accumulated foreign matter into the luggage compartment. This set is formed of 2 polymer strips having discharge recesses which provide insulation between the 2 rods, 1 of which has a discharge recess, mounted onto the space between the entrance step and the top step at the rear edge of the disabled lift entrance step. A set subject to the invention has been formed to prevent the entry of water accumulated on the step of the disabled lift, dirt formed depending on said water (ice, slurry, corrosion etc.) and the accumulated foreign matter; and impermeability has been established by means of this set, thereby protecting the mechanism of the disabled lift step. This set has also enabled to keep the luggage compartment of the vehicle clean.

The invention subject to the application is a disabled lift step isolation set (5) mounted between the disabled lift step (6) and the top step (7) in vehicles that enable the disabled to climb into the vehicle; wherein said set which prevents the entry of water accumulated on the disabled lift step (6) , dirt accumulated depending on said water (ice, slurry, corrosion etc.) and foreign matter into the luggage compartment of the vehicle and prevents the clogging of discharge apertures (8) and discharges the foreign matter that has entered in a controlled manner out of the vehicle, also comprises; · A lower rod (1 ) having discharge recesses,
• A flat top rod (2) ,
• Two polymer strips (3) with discharge recesses that provide impermeability between the two rods (1 and 2) and between the lower rod (1 ) and the lift step (6) , and
• A plurality of V shaped discharge recesses (4) located at the sections corresponding to the discharge apertures (8) of the polymer strip (3) having discharge recesses and the lower rod (1 ) having discharge recesses.
The length of the disabled lift step isolation set (5) , is the same as the length of the disabled lift step (6) and the top step (7) .
At least four mounting apertures has been provided on the lower rod (1 ) having discharge recesses and the flat top rod (2) in order to mount the disabled lift step isolation set (5) to the disabled lift step (6) .
The lower rod (1 ) having discharge recesses and the flat top rod (2) are produced from aluminium material according to the basic application of the invention; however they can be produced from any kind of rigid polymer or metal materials according to the application mode of the invention.
The number of the V shaped discharge recesses (4) located on the lower rod (1 ) having discharge recesses and the polymer strips (3) having discharge recesses correspond to the number of the discharge apertures (8) provided on the disabled lift step (6) .
