Abstract

Disclosed is a dry-type permanent straightening and volumizing agent which reduces the time taken for a perming operation, allows the perming agent to be applied evenly onto the hair, and can easily cope with the state of the user's hair. The agent is sprayed in the form of fine particles so as to effect a permanent straightening and volumizing operation, and comprises a reducing agent, alkaline agent, moisturizer, hair softener, hair nutrient, sedative and anti-inflammatory agent and perfume, while a solvent constitutes at least 50 percent by weight of the entire weight and the viscosity is between 1 and 500 cps.

Description

Dry Permanent Straight and Volume Solvent

The present invention relates to permanent solvents and, more particularly, to permanent straight and volume solvents used to perform straight and volume permanents in a dry manner through a spray system.

Hair has a three-dimensional structure consisting of a polypeptide bond as a main chain bond and a cystine bond as a side chain bond, an ionic bond, a hydrogen bond and a peptide bond. When the hair is exerted and then removed, there is elasticity to return to its original state. Permanent agents are chemically or physically treated with hair, temporarily weakening their strength and softening them. In this case, the hair loses its elasticity, and when the force is applied, the hair is plasticized to fix its shape. Conventional permanent procedures use wet permanent solvents in the form of creams or emulsions. Conventional wet permanent solvents are added with functional materials that impart additional properties to the reducing and oxidizing agents, as in Korean Patent No. 10-0668246. The reducing agent opens the cuticle layer of the hair to make it excited and forms a volume and a straight line by the procedure. The oxidant again hardens the open cuticle layer.

However, the wet permanent straight and volume treatment takes a long time to complete the procedure. Specifically, the wet permanent procedure must undergo hair washing, wet solvent application, straightening and volume, heat treatment, natural treatment, neutralizer treatment, and hair cleaning. Accordingly, the user must undergo a procedure for a long time. In addition, wet straightening and volume solvents are difficult to apply evenly to the hair. Accordingly, the operator spends a lot of time and effort applying the wet solvent to the hair. Furthermore, the wet permanent procedure is difficult to properly select the wet solvent according to the condition of the user's hair. This is because it is difficult to precisely control the amount of the wet solvent applied according to the condition of the hair.

The solvent may include a volatile solvent, and the volatile solvent is preferably ethanol or isopropyl alcohol or a mixture thereof. The reducing agent may be at least one selected from thioglycolic acid or salts thereof, thioracetic acid or salts thereof.

In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the solvent is 0.1 to 15% of the reducing agent, 0.1 to 10% of the alkali agent, 0.1 to 30% of the moisturizer, 0.1 to 10% of the hair softener, the hair nutrient to the total weight 0.01 to 10%, the soothing and anti-inflammatory ingredients 0.1 to 10% and the fragrance may comprise 0 to 2%. The dry straight solvent of the present invention is used to exclude or limit components that exhibit high viscosity or require emulsification. In addition, after the treatment of the dry straight solvent, in order to exclude the remaining of the raw material and skin trouble, it may include a composition in consideration of functions such as sedation, anti-inflammatory. Specifically, the dry straight composition of the present invention may contain a reducing agent and an alkaline agent, a moisturizing agent and a hair softener, a hair nutrient including a hydrolyzed protein, and a natural extract having an anti-inflammatory and soothing effect, various flavors and solvents.

The reducing agent of the dry straight solvent of the present invention is any one selected from thioglycolic acid or its salt, thioacetic acid or its salt. The alkali agent is any one selected from ethanolamine, sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, sodium carbonate, potassium carbonate and mixtures thereof. The moisturizing agent may be selected from glycerin, butylene glycol, propylene glycol, urea, organosilicon, sugars and sugar polymers and mixtures thereof. In this case, the organosilicon includes dimethicone, dimethiconol, dimethicone copolyol, cyclomethicone, and p-dimethicone.

The hair softener may be any one selected from cetrimonium chloride, dicetyldimonium chloride, mineral and vegetable oils, essential oils, and mixtures thereof. In addition, the dry straight solvent of the present invention may further comprise a hair nutrient, ingredients having a soothing and anti-inflammatory function, flavoring and mixtures thereof. Here, the hair nutrient may be composed of amino acids, hydrolyzed proteins and vitamins such as panthenol and tocopheryl acetate. The soothing and anti-inflammatory components may include loquat extract, pomegranate extract, licorice extract, aloe vera extract and the like. The fragrance may include natural essential oils applied to various aromatherapy, and a combination of floral, fruit, green tea, and the like may be applied.

The solvent applied to the composition of the present invention is preferably purified water, and may further include a volatile solvent that is not harmful to the human body, such as ethanol. Purified water may be distilled water, deionized water, jiji water or mixtures thereof. The ionized water may be magnetized ionized water or plasma treated ionized water. The magnetized ionized water is weakly alkaline produced by magnetization and is ionized water constituting a hexagonal ring-shaped molecular structure with a large heat capacity. Plasma treated ionized water increases a large amount of hydroxyl groups (OH ⁻ ) and oxygen-based active species (O ⁻ , O ₂ ⁻ , O ₃ ⁻ , HO ₂ , H ₂ O ₂ , HOCl). The ionized water is to evenly mix the straight solvent according to the embodiment of the present invention, and enhances the reactivity with the hair. The volatile solvent allows the composition of the present invention to easily penetrate the hair and reduce the time for drying.

The dry straight solvent of the present invention is characterized by containing more solvent as compared to the conventional wet permanent solvent. By further containing a solvent, it is possible to include relatively few substances which damage hair. Accordingly, the dry solvent of the present invention can reduce hair damage with no neutralizing agent. On the other hand, when spraying a dry straight solvent with the atomizer, the solvent is converted into fine grains such as fog. When the solvent is converted into a fine grain form, the surface area of the solvent increases. Granules with a large surface area are easily adsorbed to the hair due to increased surface energy, and also penetrate deep into the hair because of the fine shape. Since the dry permanent solvent according to the embodiment of the present invention is fine and the surface energy is large, the reaction with the hair is more activated.

On the contrary, since the conventional wet permanent straight and volume solvents are creamy, the surface energy is small and fine compared to the solvent of the present invention. Accordingly, the conventional permanent solvent is not easily adsorbed to the hair compared to the solvent of the present invention, and it is not easy to penetrate deep into the hair. Accordingly, the straight solvent of the present invention can be faster, simpler and easier styling in a smaller amount than the conventional wet permanent solvent even in various hair conditions such as damaged hair, healthy hair, and hair having water repellent properties. In addition, since the dry solvent is in the form of granules, it is possible to perform desired styling by immediately drying with hot air without being washed off with water after the procedure.

The composition of the dry straight solvent according to the embodiment of the present invention is 0.1% to 15% of the reducing agent, 0.1 to 10% of the alkali agent, 0.1 to 30% of the moisturizer, and 0.1 to 10 of the hair softener, based on the total weight of the composition. %, 0.01 to 10% of the hair nutrient, 0.1 to 10% of the soothing and anti-inflammatory components, and fragrance comprises 0 to 2%, the remainder is at least 50% by weight as a solvent. The reducing agent of the dry straight solvent according to the embodiment of the present invention may further include chioglycolic acid and salts thereof, or ammonium thiocyanate and salts thereof in addition to the above-described composition. If the total content of the reducing agents is less than 0.1% by weight, straight and volume may not be formed. If the content is greater than 15% by weight, it may cause damage to the hair. If the content of the alkali agent is less than 0.1% by weight, the styling of the hair is not formed smoothly, if the content of more than 10% by weight may cause the hair to melt. In addition, if the content of the moisturizing agent and the hair softener is less than the weight percent presented above, the stiffness of the hair may appear after styling. If the content is greater than the indicated weight percent, it may prevent the styling from forming.

In the dry straight solvent of the present invention, if the fragrance is not included, it is insufficient to prevent the strong odor caused by the reducing agent and the alkali agent. If the content is greater than 2% by weight, the fragrance is too strong can cause long-lasting side effects. In addition, the moisturizer, the hair softener, the hair nutrient and the soothing and anti-inflammatory components do not affect styling formation. Optionally, further volatile solvents such as ethanol can be added to the solvent. When the volatile solvent is added, spraying of the straight solvent of the present invention can occur effectively. In addition, grains of straight solvent can penetrate deeper into the cuticle layer of hair, and drying occurs relatively easily. In the solvent, the volatile solvent may contain 3% to 30% by weight. If it is less than 3%, the effect of the addition of volatile solvent is insignificant, and if it is greater than 30%, there is a problem that may cause degeneration of the hair and cause hair damage. More specifically, when alcohols such as ethanol or isopropyl alcohol are contained in the solvent, they can be azeotropically distilled together with water, which may double the drying effect especially when hot air is applied. However, even in the concentration range of 30% or less, it is difficult to determine the specific range, but may cause progressive hair damage when used periodically. In addition, there is the possibility of inducing hair degeneration. Accordingly, in the present invention, it may be more preferably limited to within 10% by weight.

The pH range of the dry straight solvent of the present invention is preferably 4.0 to 9.5, the pH range of 6.0 to 9.0 is advantageous depending on the condition of the hair. More preferably, having a pH range of 7.5 to 9.0 may be more suitably applied to various hair conditions. The viscosity of the solvent of the present invention is from 1 to 500 cps is preferred, more preferably 10 to 100 cps is good. When the viscosity of the solvent is less than 1 cps, the characteristics of the solvent of the present invention are not properly exhibited, and when the viscosity is greater than 500 cps, spraying is not good.

Table 1 shows the characteristics of the dry permanent straight solvent according to the embodiments of the present invention. According to Table 1, Examples 1 to 5 of the present invention had a viscosity of about 12, 10, 11, 12 and 10 cps, respectively. That is, the content of solubilizers such as the PHYD hydrogenated castor oil or polysorbate having a certain viscosity of the above components is also within about 1 to 2% by weight throughout the composition. In addition, the contents of the purified water of Examples 1 to 5 were 78.5 wt%, 78.5 wt%, 77.5 wt%, 77.5 wt%, and 77.5 wt% in the total composition, respectively. As such, the purified water accounts for approximately three quarters of the total composition. Since the dry straight solvent of the present invention has a large content of the solvent in the total composition, the viscosity of the composition is low. Although the dry straight solvent of the present invention greatly increased the content of the solvent, it shows excellent straight properties. Accordingly, it was found that the straight solvent of the present invention increases the surface energy of the grains and is easily adsorbed to the hair, and penetrates deep into the hair in a fine form. As a result, the composition was effectively dispersed, adsorbed, and penetrated, and even though the solvent occupied a relatively large proportion, excellent straightness and volume characteristics were exhibited.
