Abstract
本発明に係る加速度センサは、収容空間を有する固定部と、前記収容空間に収容され、且つ前記固定部に対して相対動可能な可動部と、前記固定部に対する前記可動部の移動量に相関する物理量を検出する検出部と、を備え、前記収容空間に充填された非圧縮の粘性流体からなる減衰力発生体を備える。このような構成により、加速度センサの小型化を図りつつ、より低加速度の計測が可能である。
Description
本発明は、加速度センサおよび振動モニタリングシステムに関する。
物体に生じる加速度を計測する加速度センサは、たとえば物体の振動状態などを把握するために広く用いられている。たとえば、特許文献1には、いわゆる静電容量式の加速度センサが開示されている。また、加速度センサには、小型化の要請が強い。このような要請に応えるべく、いわゆるMEMSの技術を用いて加速度センサの小型化が図られている。
しかしながら、加速度センサの小型化が図られるほど、計測可能な加速度の範囲は、より高加速度(高周波数)側に移行する傾向がある。たとえば、橋梁などの大規模建造物の振動状態を把握する場合、求められる計測範囲は、比較的低加速度(低周波数)である。しかも、加速度センサの設置スペースやコスト要請などから、大型の加速度センサは歓迎されない。
本発明は、上記した事情のもとで考え出されたものであって、小型化を図りつつ、より低加速度の計測が可能である加速度センサおよび振動モニタリングシステムを提供することをその課題とする。
本発明の第1の側面によって提供される加速度センサは、収容空間を有する固定部と、前記収容空間に収容され、且つ前記固定部に対して相対動可能な可動部と、前記固定部に対する前記可動部の移動量に相関する物理量を検出する検出部と、を備え、前記収容空間に充填された非圧縮の粘性流体からなる減衰力発生体を備える。

以下、本発明の好ましい実施の形態につき、図面を参照して具体的に説明する。
図1および図2は、本発明の第1実施形態に基づく加速度センサを示している。本実施形態の加速度センサA1は、固定部1、可動部2、検出部3および減衰力発生体4を備えている。本発明に係る加速度センサの大きさや形式はなんら限定されないが、本実施形態においては、いわゆるMEMSの技術を用いた比較的小型の加速度センサA1について説明する。
図1は、zx平面に沿う加速度センサA1の断面図である。図2は、理解の便宜上、固定部1の一部を除去した状態の加速度センサA1を示す要部平面図である。
固定部1は、加速度センサA1の土台となり、且つ外形を構成するものである。固定部1は、測定対象物に固定されることが意図されている。本実施形態においては、固定部1は、基部11および蓋部12を有する。基部11および蓋部12の大きさ、形状、材質等は特に限定されない。本実施形態においては、基部11および蓋部12は、互いに同一の材料からなる。好ましくは、基部11および蓋部12は、半導体からなり、より好ましくはシリコンからなる。
基部11と蓋部12とは、互いに接合されている。それぞれにたとえば凹部が形成されていることにより、固定部1は、収容空間10を有している。収容空間10は、少なくとも加速度センサA1の完成状態において密閉空間とされている。図2に示すように、本実施形態においては収容空間10は、平面視矩形状とされている。また、図1に示すように、本実施形態においては、基部11の図中右端付近が、蓋部12から突出している。
可動部2は、収容空間10に収容されており、且つ固定部1に対して相対動可能である。本実施形態においては、固定部1と可動部2とは、同一の材料からなり、互いに一体的に形成されている。好ましくは、固定部1と可動部2とは、半導体材料からなり、より好ましくはシリコンからなる。
また、本実施形態においては、可動部2は、質量部21および連結部22を有している。質量部21は、加速度センサA1が検出する加速度によって収容空間10において移動させられることが意図された部位であり、相応の質量が与えられている。連結部22は、固定部1と質量部21とを繋ぐ部位である。
図2に示すように、本実施形態においては、質量部21は、平面視において、収容空間10と略相似形状の矩形状とされている。これに対し、連結部22は、質量部21のx方向一端に繋がっており、幅(y方向寸法)が質量部21よりも顕著に小とされている。また、図2に示すように、連結部22の厚さ(z方向寸法)は、質量部21の厚さ(z方向寸法)よりも小とされている。このような構成により、可動部2に加速度が生じた場合、質量部21がこの加速度に応じて移動し、連結部22は、質量部21の移動に伴って顕著に変形する。
検出部3は、固定部1に対する可動部2の移動量に相関する物理量を検出するものである。検出部3の検出原理や形式および大きさなどは特に限定されない。本実施形態においては、検出部3は、連結部22に取り付けられており、連結部22の歪を検出するたとえば歪みセンサあるいはいわゆるピエゾ素子である。また、図2に示すように、基部11には、配線13が形成されている。配線13は、検出部3による検出を実現しうる導通経路を構築するものであり、たとえば、Cu,Ni,Auなどが適宜選択されまたは組み合わされためっき層からなる。本実施形態においては、配線13は、電極131を有している。電極131は、加速度センサA1に信号線などを接続するために用いられる。
減衰力発生体4は、収容空間10に充填されており、非圧縮の粘性流体からなる。減衰力発生体4は、収容空間10において可動部2が固定部1に対して相対動する際に、可動部2に対して移動方向と反対方向、すなわち移動を抑制するように作用する減衰力を発生させることが意図されたものである。減衰力発生体4の種類などは特に限定されないが、本実施形態においては、減衰力発生体4は、液体であり、より好ましくはシリコーンオイルである。また、減衰力発生体4の他の例として、ゲルを用いてもよい。
本実施形態においては、質量部21がz方向に移動しやすい構成となっている。質量部21がこのような挙動を示す場合、減衰力発生体4は、図2に示す隙間5を行き交うこととなる。減衰力発生体4が隙間5を行き交う際に生じるせん断力が、質量部21の移動を抑制する減衰力となる。
図3は、本発明の第1実施形態に基づく振動モニタリングシステムを示している。本実施形態の加速度センサA1は、複数のモニタリングユニットC1および受信制御部7を備えている。加速度センサA1は、たとえば橋梁の振動状態を長期間にわたってモニタリングするといった用途に用いられる。このような振動モニタリングを行うことにより、橋梁の振動状態が長期間にわたってどのように変化するかを把握することができる。橋梁の各部に生じうる経年変化や破損などは、振動状態に表れる可能性が高い。したがって、振動モニタリングによって、橋梁などの長大施設の診断を行うことができる。
図4は、モニタリングユニットC1を示している。モニタリングユニットC1は、複数の加速度センサA1、送信制御部6および電源部8を備えている。モニタリングユニットC1が備える加速度センサA1の個数は、1以上であればよいが、モニタリングの効率を高めるには、モニタリングユニットC1が複数の加速度センサA1を備えることが好ましい。なお、加速度センサA1を用いることと同様に、後述する加速度センサA2ないし加速度センサA4を適宜選択して採用してもよい。
送信制御部6は、複数の加速度センサA1からの信号が入力されるとともに、検出信号を送信するものである。送信制御部6と複数の加速度センサA1とは、たとえば配線によって互いに接続されている。加速度センサA1からの信号は、たとえば加速度センサA1に流した電流の変化や加速度センサA1で生じた起電力による電流などである。送信制御部6から送信する検出信号は、加速度センサA1からの信号をたとえばアンプ機能によって増大した信号や、加速度センサA1からの信号に基づいて演算処理によって生成された信号などである。
本実施形態においては、送信制御部6は、アンテナ61を有している。送信制御部6は、アンテナ61を用いた無線通信手段によって検出信号を送信する。
電源部8は、複数の加速度センサA1における検出および送信制御部6の各種制御を実現するための電力を供給するものである。本実施形態においては、電源部8からの電力は、送信制御部6を介して各加速度センサA1に供給されている。電源部8の具体的構成は特に限定されないが、本実施形態においては、電源部8は、蓄電池である。
図3に示すように、受信制御部7は、複数のモニタリングユニットC1から送信された検出信号を受信するものである。本実施形態においては、受信制御部7は、アンテナ71を有しており、無線通信手段によってモニタリングユニットC1からの検出信号を受信する。
受信制御部7は、さらに、受信した検出信号を処理する機能を備えていてもよい。係る処理の例としては、検出信号の記憶機能、検出信号を外部の機器(図示略)にさらに送信する送信機能、検出信号に基づいて測定対象物の振動状態を表すデータを生成するデータ処理機能などが挙げられる。
図5は、振動モニタリングシステムB1による振動モニタリングの測定対象物の一例を示している。図示された例は、橋梁Bgであり、たとえば、海峡などを跨いで設置された比較的長大な吊り橋である。橋梁Bgの橋桁や吊りケーブルなどの各部には、測定点Mpが設定されうる。測定点Mpは、振動モニタリングシステムB1に備えられた複数の加速度センサA1が取り付けられる箇所である。モニタリングユニットC1が複数の加速度センサA1を備える構成の場合、比較的近接する位置にある複数の測定点Mpに取り付けられた複数の加速度センサA1が同一のモニタリングユニットC1に含まれる構成となる。また、橋梁Bgが相当に長大である場合、複数の受信制御部7を備える構成としてもよい。
次に、加速度センサA1およびモニタリングユニットC1の作用について説明する。
本実施形態によれば、収容空間10において可動部2が固定部1に対して相対動すると、減衰力発生体4から可動部2に対して移動を抑制する減衰力が作用する。このため、減衰力発生体4を備えない場合と比べて、可動部2がより低加速度で動くこととなる。したがって、加速度センサA1の小型化を図りつつ、より低加速度の計測が可能である。
また、加速度センサA1をいわゆるMEMSの技術を用いて製造することにより、低加速度の計測を実現しつつ、加速度センサA1を十分に小型に仕上げることができる。かかる小型化を図るには、固定部1の全体がシリコンからなることが好ましい。また、固定部1および可動部2をシリコンからなる一体構造とすることは、小型化および製造効率の向上に好ましい。
可動部2が質量部21および連結部22を有することにより、加速度センサA1に与えられた加速度にしたがって、質量部21をスムーズに相対動させることができる。一方、質量部21が相対動すると、連結部22にはそれに応じた歪が明確に生じる。この連結部22に検出部3を設けることにより、加速度をより確実に検出することができる。
図6~図15は、本発明の変形例およびの他の実施形態を示している。なお、これらの図において、上記実施形態と同一または類似の要素には、上記実施形態と同一の符号を付している。
図6は、加速度センサA1の変形例を示している。本変形例においては、隙間5に先端狭幅部51が設けられている。先端狭幅部51は、x方向において連結部22と反対側に位置するとともに、隙間5のうち連結部22に隣接する部分よりも狭幅とされている。より具体的には、質量部21のx方向図中左端全体と基部11との距離が近づけられていることにより、先端狭幅部51が形成されている。
このような変形例によっても、加速度センサA1の小型化を図りつつ、より低加速度の計測が可能である。また、先端狭幅部51は、質量部21のうち移動量が最大となると考えられるx方向左端と基部11との隙間である。このため、相対的に狭幅でとされた先端狭幅部51を、比較的高い流速で減衰力発生体4が行き交うこととなる。これにより、減衰力発生体4によって生じる減衰力を増強することが可能であり、低加速度の計測に有利である。
図7は、加速度センサA1の他の変形例を示している。本変形例においては、隙間5に先端狭幅部51に加えて2つの側方狭幅部52が形成されている。2つの側方狭幅部52は、先端狭幅部51のy方向両側に配置されており、隙間5のうち連結部22に隣接する部分よりも狭幅とされている。本実施形態においては、側方狭幅部52の大きさは、先端狭幅部51の大きさと略同等である。また、各側方狭幅部52は、質量部21のx方向に延びる側辺のうちx方向左方側部分にのみ形成されている。
このような変形例によっても、加速度センサA1の小型化を図りつつ、より低加速度の計測が可能である。また、減衰力発生体4によって生じる減衰力をさらに増強することが可能であり、低加速度の計測に好適である。
図8は、本発明の第2実施形態に基づく加速度センサを示している。本実施形態の加速度センサA2は、可動部2および検出部3の構成が上述した実施形態と異なっている。
本実施形態においては、可動部2は、1つの質量部21と4つの連結部22とを有している。質量部21は、平面視矩形状である。4つの連結部22は、質量部21の四隅部分と基部11とをそれぞれ繋いでいる。
また、本実施形態においては、4つの検出部3が備えられている。4つの検出部3は、2つの連結部22に各別に取り付けられている。すなわち、各検出部3は、各連結部22に生じる歪を個別に検出する。また、4つの検出部3に対応して、たとえば8つの電極131が設けられている。ただし、いわゆるコモン電極を共通させれば、5つの電極131によって4つの検出部3を機能させうる。
このような実施形態によっても、加速度センサA2の小型化を図りつつ、より低加速度の計測が可能である。また、4つの検出部3による検出量(引張、圧縮)を適宜組み合わせ演算することにより、質量部21のx方向、y方向およびz方向の移動量(加速度)を検出することができる。
図9は、加速度センサA2の変形例を示している。本変形例においては、隙間5に4つの中間狭幅部53が形成されている。中間狭幅部53は、平面視矩形状である質量部21の各辺において、中央寄り部分に対応する位置に設けられている。中間狭幅部53の大きさは、隙間5のうち連結部22に隣接する部分よりも狭幅である。
このような変形例によっても、加速度センサA2の小型化を図りつつ、より低加速度の計測が可能である。また、中間狭幅部53を設けることにより、減衰力発生体4によって生じる減衰力を増強することが可能であり、低加速度の計測に有利である。
図10は、加速度センサA2の他の変形例を示している。本変形例においては、質量部21に複数の突起211が設けられている。突起211は、質量部21からz方向に突出している。本変形例においては、質量部21のz方向両側のそれぞれに複数の突起211が形成されている。
このような変形例によっても、加速度センサA2の小型化を図りつつ、より低加速度の計測が可能である。また、突起211を設けることによって、質量部21がx方向およびy方向に相対動した際の減衰力を高めることができる。
図11は、本発明の第3実施形態に基づく加速度センサを示している。本実施形態のA3は、主に固定部1の構成が上述した実施形態と異なっている。本実施形態においては、基部11と蓋部12とは、互いにことなる材料からなる。基部11は、配線基板であり、具体的には、ガラスエポキシ樹脂からなる基材を有する。上述した配線13は、この基材状に形成されている。基部11は、平板状である。一方、蓋部12は、収容空間10を形成すべく、凹部を有している。また、蓋部12の材質は特に限定されないが、たとえば絶縁性の樹脂が挙げられる。
可動部2は、たとえば固定部1の蓋部12に取り付けられている。また、固定部1には、充填剤15が設けられている。充填剤15は、加速度センサA3の製造工程において、減衰力発生体4を充填した後に、この充填に用いた充填孔を塞ぐものである。
なお、加速度センサA3における可動部2および検出部3等の構成については、加速度センサA1および加速度センサA2においてそれぞれ説明した構成を適宜採用することができる。
このような実施形態によっても、加速度センサA3の小型化を図りつつ、より低加速度の計測が可能である。
図12は、本発明の第4実施形態に基づく加速度センサを示している。本実施形態の加速度センサA4は、いわゆる静電容量式の加速度センサとして構成されている。たとえば、検出部3は、可動電極31および固定電極32を有している。可動電極31は、可動部2の質量部21に設けられており、平板形状の電極である。固定電極32は、固定部1の蓋部12に設けられており、可動電極31と対向する平板形状の電極である。なお、加速度センサA4をMEMS技術を用いてシリコンを加工することにより製造する場合、導電性薄膜形成やドーピング処理などによって、質量部21自体を固定電極32として形成してもよい。
このような実施形態によっても、加速度センサA4の小型化を図りつつ、より低加速度の計測が可能である。
なお、加速度センサA4における固定部1および可動部2等の構成については、加速度センサA1ないし加速度センサA3においてそれぞれ説明した構成を適宜採用することができる。
図13は、モニタリングユニットC1の変形例を示している。本変形例においては、電源部8の構成が上述した例と異なっており、いわゆる太陽光発電デバイスによって構成されている。このような構成によれば、長期間にわたるモニタリングにおいて、加速度センサA1や送信制御部6などに絶えず電力を供給するのに適している。
図14は、本発明の第2実施形態に基づく振動モニタリングシステムを示している。本実施形態の振動モニタリングシステムB2は、複数のモニタリングユニットC2と受信制御部7とを備えている。複数のモニタリングユニットC2と受信制御部7とは、信号線69によって接続されている。受信制御部7には、複数の信号線69を接続するコネクタ72が設けられている。
図15は、振動モニタリングシステムB2に用いられるモニタリングユニットC2を示している。図示された加速度センサA1は、上述した加速度センサA2ないし加速度センサA4であってもよい。送信制御部6には、上述した信号線69が接続されるコネクタ62が設けられている。
このような実施形態は、測定対象物に信号線69を敷設する必要があるものの、無線通信に生じうる電波障害などの懸念を払拭することができるという利点がある。また、信号線69を介して電力供給する構成としてもよい。この場合、各モニタリングユニットC2は、電源部8を備える必要はなく、複数のモニタリングユニットC2をカバーしうる電源部(図示略)を図14に示す受信制御部7に付随して設ければよい。
本発明に係る加速度センサおよび振動モニタリングシステムは、上述した実施形態に限定されるものではない。本発明に係る加速度センサおよび振動モニタリングシステムの各部の具体的な構成は、種々に設計変更自在である。
