随着电饭煲技术的发展，目前，很多电饭煲都设有储水盒，且储水盒一般安装在电饭煲上盖和煲体外壳罩连接处的铰链部位，其作用是盛接电饭煲上盖和以其煲体的外壳罩上蒸煮时流下来的积水，从而在使用时，避免水流到使用的桌面或底面，从而保持了清洁，方便了消费者的使用。但是，在现有技术中，储水盒的入水口一般为敞开式设计，当积水较多时，人们在拿取储水盒时，由于摇晃的原因，积水容易从储水盒中溅出，从而影响到清洁卫生。

上述储水盒的入水口1上覆设有对储水盒中的水产生遮挡作用的挡布2。挡布2可采用棉质布料或麻织布料等。而挡布的安装方式可如下：入水口两端设置有安装孔3，储水盒还包括：尺寸与安装孔3匹配的安装钉4，安装钉4将挡布2两端可拆卸式定位于安装孔3内。
作为另一种实施例，挡布还可以采用如下方式固定：入水口两侧设置有安装夹，安装夹以夹设方式对挡布两端可拆卸式安装。
为了实现储水盒与电饭煲主体之间的装配，储水盒上设置有与主体相装配的安装部。具体地，该安装部可以是凸沿5，而电饭煲主体上设置有与凸沿相匹配的凹槽，凸沿可在凹槽中滑动，从而实现储水盒从电饭煲主体的拿取与装入动作。当然，安装部还可以是凹槽，而电饭煲主体上设置有凹槽相匹配的凸沿。
这样，储水盒中的积水因为挡布的作用而被限定在储水盒中，而人们在拿取储水盒的过程中，积水不会从储水盒中溅出，保证了清洁卫生。
