- a fixing of a blank embedded in the milling machine is possible with very high accuracy, so that movements or misalignments of the blank in the direction of translation or in the direction of rotation can be avoided.
- the holder comprises two threads for screws, wherein a connecting line of the thread extends through the longitudinal axis of the holder. The accuracy in the positioning of the blank in the milling machine can be further improved compared to the use of a screw. If the individual screws of different shape and / or size, also a wrong orientation of the blank can be avoided by for example 180 °.
- the stop defines a plane and the holder has a longitudinal axis perpendicular to the plane, wherein the holder is formed symmetrically or asymmetrically with respect to the longitudinal axis.
- the symmetrical shape of the holder can make the placing of the blank by means of the enclosing frame as easy as possible for an operator, whereas the provision of an asymmetrically shaped with respect to the longitudinal axis holder predetermines the orientation of the blank placed on the holder, so that incorrect alignments can be avoided.
- the holder is formed asymmetrically with respect to the longitudinal axis and has at least one flat surface parallel to the longitudinal axis.
- the alignment of the blank with respect to the stop is defined by the shape of the holder. Faulty alignments of the blank can thus be avoided, so that a correct positioning of the blank can also be ensured with regard to a subsequent connection geometry of the dental component.
- the blank according to the invention comprises on one side a pin which defines a connection geometry of the dental component and is further characterized in that the blank on the opposite side has an enclosing socket, with which a holder of a milling machine can be included and wherein the enclosing socket on a Stop the milling machine can be brought into abutment, wherein the enclosing socket comprises two openings.
- the pin is to be understood as any component which makes it possible to fit the dental technical component into a holder or arrangement in the jaw.
- These include pins for connectors as well as threaded screws.
- the shape of the pencil can be edgy, but also round. It can be cylindrical or conical shaped. Other forms are conceivable.
- connecting elements for producing a releasable connection with the holder can be guided through the openings provided.
- the enclosing socket has a substantially cylindrical outer shape, wherein the socket has a substantially cylindrical inner shape or an inner shape which is not symmetrical with respect to a longitudinal axis of the blank. While the symmetrical inner shape is much easier to manufacture, the non-symmetrical inner shape of the socket already allows a defined orientation of the blank, for example also with respect to the connection geometry, in the milling machine.
- the enclosing socket comprises at least one opening through which connecting elements, such as screws, can be guided for producing a releasable connection with the holder of the milling machine.
- the position of the openings depends on the connection geometry predetermined by the pin. This can ensure the most accurate possible alignment of the dental component with respect to its subsequent connection geometry in the milling machine.
- the openings are formed as recesses on the end facing away from the blank end of the enclosing socket.
- the end facing away from the blank end of the enclosing socket is substantially formed as a flat ring or ring segments includes, or which can be brought to the stop of the milling machine in abutment.
- the length of the Version is given an orientation in the longitudinal direction of the blank relative to the milling machine. If the openings are formed as recesses at the lower end of the socket, ie in the region of the ring, a positive and non-positive fixation of the blank can be ensured with very high accuracy.
- a blank according to one of the preceding embodiments is provided in a milling machine according to one of the above-mentioned embodiments, wherein the enclosing frame surrounds the holder and the enclosing frame is brought into contact with the stop of the milling machine at the end facing away from the blank.
- This arrangement has the advantage that a positive and non-positive fit of the blank on the holder is made possible by the enclosing version, and at the same time a well-defined distance of the blank to the stop by the length of the enclosing socket, which is brought to the stop of the milling machine in abutment , is defined.
- the enclosing version simultaneously predetermines the position of the blank relative to the milling machine as a function of the connection geometry, components for aligning the blank can be saved, thus avoiding sources of error. This results in a very accurate alignment of the blank relative to the milling machine, which enables the production of the dental component with high accuracy.

- Figure 2 Enlarged schematic view of the holding area and a blank.
- FIG. 3a and b Schematic representation of two embodiments of the holder and the enclosing version.
- Figure 4a and b Schematic representation of two embodiments of the holder and the enclosing socket with a different cross-sectional area.
- FIG. 1 shows schematically the basic structure of a milling machine 100, as is known for example from the prior art.
- This milling machine may comprise a cover 101, in which the remaining components of the milling machine are arranged.
- the cover may be divided into a plurality of individual areas and in particular comprise a viewing area, through which the component can be observed during manufacture.
- a hatch or the like may be provided to introduce a blank, from which a dental component, such as a crown, is to be manufactured, into the milling machine 100.
- an operator terminal 104 may be provided on the milling machine 101, which, for example, allows data input with regard to the production of the dental component.
- the milling machine 100 further comprises one or more cutting tools 102, with which a blank inserted into the milling machine 100 can be machined.
- a holding device 103 is provided in a holding region, in which the blank can be arranged or clamped.
- the blank from which the dental component is to be produced may be either fixedly mounted in the holding device 103 or rotatably arranged relative to the holding device.
- one or more tools rotatably mounted and movable in the direction of the blank are used for processing the blank. If the blank itself is rotatably mounted with respect to the cutting tools, the cutting tool is usually moved to the blank in relation to the contour of the dental component to be produced from the blank, while the blank is rotated about its longitudinal axis, for example.
- the blank can in principle have any shape. So it can be a cylinder but also a cuboid or a cuboid with rounded or flattened edges. Likewise, a geometrical structure corresponding in principle to the dental component can be used, such as a cone or an ellipsoid. Depending on the later size of the dental component, the size of the blank may vary. So it can extend in all directions over several millimeters but also up to 2 or 4 cm in one or more directions.
- a ceramic compound can usually be used.
- plastics or metallic alloys can also be used.
- materials are used with the cutting process can be edited.
- mechanical tools can be used, but also lasers can be used.
- the milling machine 100 thus not only includes embodiments that separate material layers from the blank by mechanical force, but may also include laser tools that evaporate material from the blank to produce the dental component.
- FIG. 2 shows a more detailed schematic view of the holding area with the holding device 103 of the milling machine.
- the relevant to the invention parts of the holding device 103 are shown here by solid lines, whereas the other components of the holding device are shown as a dashed box here only.
- the dashed structure is not to be understood as limiting the shape of the holding device 103, but should serve only as a reference point for the holder 232 and the stop 231.
- a stop 231 is arranged in the holding device.
- This stop can, as shown, for example, be designed as a survey with a cylindrical shape.
- the form of the attack is basically arbitrary.
- a cuboid shape or other structures can be used. Even irregular shapes are conceivable.
- the stopper 231 defines according to one embodiment a direction away from the holding device 103 level. At this level, a holder 232 is arranged. At this holder 232, the blank can be arranged according to the invention.
- the holder is arranged perpendicular to the stop, so that a longitudinal axis of the holder extends through the stop and forms a normal of the stop, in particular the plane or runs parallel to this.
- the longitudinal axis extends parallel to an at least partially curved surface region of the holder. If the holder is designed, for example, as a cylinder or as a body with a partially cylindrically shaped lateral surface, the longitudinal axis extends parallel to the cylindrically shaped lateral surface.
- the blank is also shown in FIG.
- the blank 240 consists on the one hand of the actual blank material 242, from which the dental component is to be produced and also includes an element 243.
- This element 243 may be formed, for example, as a pin or screw thread.
- the element 243 defines a connection geometry for the dental component to be produced from the blank 240.
- the connection geometry is understood to mean a direction or orientation predetermined by the element 243 with which the dental component can be inserted into the jaw of a patient.
- This connection geometry thus reflects the predetermined orientation of the dental component.
- the dental component which is milled from the blank 240, must match in form and orientation with the connection geometry.
- an incisor can be produced from the blank 240 as a dental component.
- Incisors have a specific orientation in the jaw of a patient.
- the original tooth may have been removed and in the space a corresponding thread or fasteners are connected to the jaw, in which then the dental component can be embedded.
- the alignment of the dental component with respect to the connecting elements is then defined via the element 243, for example via a corresponding screw or pin.
- the structure of the dental component made of the blank 240 must be manufactured depending on the connection geometry to ensure that the replacement incisor would not be skewed or fitted twisted with respect to the actual imaginary position.
- the form of an incisor tooth 244 is shown schematically by dashed lines as an example of a dental component to be produced from the blank 240.
- the blank 240 on the, the connection geometry or the element 243 opposite side comprises an enclosing socket 241.
- This enclosing socket is formed so that it can be brought into engagement with the holder 232 and enclose the holder 232 when the Blank is inserted into the milling machine.
- the enclosing socket 241 is at least partially formed as a hollow cylinder, wherein the free area within the hollow cylinder of the outer shape of the holder 232 corresponds to the milling machine, so that the holder 232 can be inserted into the enclosing socket 241.
- the longitudinal axis of the holder 232 in this case runs in the same direction in which the enclosing frame can be moved along the holder while it encloses it.
- the enclosing version can be brought into contact with the stop 231 on the milling machine at the end pointing away from the blank.
- additional elements can be provided both on the enclosing frame and, for example, complementary thereto, on the holder 232 of the milling machine.
- FIG. 3 a shows an exemplary embodiment.
- this means 353 comprises an opening or a thread for a screw 351.
- the enclosing frame 241 of the blank comprises an opening 354, through which the screw 351 can be guided and connected to the holder 232, in particular screwed.
- the distance of the opening in the holder and the corresponding opening in the enclosing frame 241 of the blank in relation to the stop 231 can further be ensured that the screw can only be done when the enclosing version brought into abutment with the stop 231 has been.
- the distance of the actual material 242, from which the dental component is to be formed, defined in relation to the stop 231 exactly. Furthermore, such a tilting of the blank is prevented relative to the holder 232, since the enclosing version is brought into abutment with the stop 231.
- the part of the enclosing socket 241 facing away from the blank has a cross-section, essentially designed as a ring, which can be brought into abutment with the stop of the milling machine. Examples of the cross section are shown in FIGS. 4a and 4b.
- the enclosing socket has a larger diameter in this area than in the remaining area.
- both the surface on the enclosing version, which is brought into abutment with the stop, as well as the stop 231 itself must be as flat as possible. It is thus provided that deviations of the abutment 231 from a plane amount to at most ⁇ , preferably 5 ⁇ , more preferably less than 3pm. It is likewise preferred if the region of the enclosing socket 241 which is brought into contact with the stop 231 deviates from a plane only by a few micrometers, particularly preferably less than 5 m. In this case, this deviation is understood to mean that relative to an imaginary plane representing the mean value of the real plane defined by the stop, the deviations of the real plane defined by the stop reach at most the indicated values. The same applies to the enclosing version.
- the distance between the opening in the holder 232 to the stop 231 and the opening 354 should be as equal to the end facing away from the blank end of the enclosing socket 241, so that the enclosing frame is actually brought into abutment with the stop 231 when the screw 351 through the openings are screwed.
- the distance of the opening in the holder 232 to the stop 231 is slightly smaller than the distance of the opening 354 to the end facing away from the blank end of the enclosing socket.
- the resulting tightening force of the enclosing socket in the direction of the stop 231 ensures secure abutment of the enclosing socket on the stop 231.
- the distance of the opening in the holder 232 from the stop 231 For example, 0.1 mm, preferably ⁇ , more preferably 20 m be smaller than the distance of the opening 354 from the blank facing away from the end of the enclosing frame.
- the enclosing socket on the holder 232 it can be provided that at least two screws or two nested elements 351 and 352 are provided and accordingly two openings in the holder 232 and two openings in the enclosing socket 241. It is particularly preferred when a screw 351 is used and a sleeve 352 that includes a threaded hole for the screw 351. The openings in the holder 232 and the enclosing socket 241 are then formed opposite one another. This means that the connecting line between the centers of the openings intersect the longitudinal axis L of the enclosing socket 241 and the longitudinal axis of the holder 232. Since an additional mechanical coupling is generated by the use of the sleeve and the screw, the positive and non-positive fit of the enclosing socket on the holder 232 is further improved.
- the screw 351 and the sleeve 352 can be screwed onto the holder only with the correct orientation of the enclosing socket.
- This can for example be realized by openings of different sizes in the enclosing frame 241 and the holder, wherein only in the correct orientation of the opening 354 or 355 above the corresponding opening 353 or 356 of the holder, an inlet of the screw 351 and the sleeve 352 is possible.
- the openings in the holder or the socket at a certain angle to each other which is different from 180 °, are provided.
- the opening 354 and the opening 355 may be rotated in the enclosing version by 90 ° with respect to the longitudinal axis L (the same applies to the openings 353 and 356 in the holder), so that only with appropriate orientation of the enclosing version with respect to the bracket 232 is an admission of the screws at all possible.
- FIG. 3b shows a further embodiment in which the enclosing socket 241, instead of a complete opening, comprises a recess at the end of the enclosing socket away from the blank, through which the corresponding screw 351 or, as with FIG Referring to Figure 3a described, the sleeve 352 can be inserted.
- the enclosing socket in this case has on the side facing away from the blank not a complete ring, but two or more ring segments, which are separated by the recesses. These ring segments are brought into analogy with the complete ring with the stop in Appendix and meet corresponding requirements in terms of accuracy with respect to deviations to an imaginary plane.
- the openings in the holder and in the enclosing socket have no thread but a smooth delimiting surface.
- the screw 351 may preferably be formed as a countersunk screw and the sleeve 352 as a countersunk nut with an internal thread.
- the sleeve 352 In order to prevent unwanted rotation of the sleeve 352 (in particular the countersunk head nut) when screwing in the screw, it can be provided in the embodiment shown in FIG. 3b that the sleeve has a flattened area which can be brought into abutment against the stop 231.
- a positive connection with respect to a rotational degree of freedom of the sleeve 352 achieved and co-rotation when screwing the screw can be prevented.
- the outer shape of the holder 232 and the enclosing frame 241 is not symmetrical with respect to the longitudinal axis. This is shown in FIG.
- the holder is in principle cylindrical, wherein the longitudinal axis L extends through the imaginary axis of symmetry of a corresponding cylinder.
- the holder 232 comprises at least at one point a flat 470.
- a plurality of flat areas can be provided, which are for example distributed equidistantly on the circumference of the holder 232. In non-equidistant distribution of these flats on the circumference of the holder 232 can be ensured in conjunction with the enclosing version that the enclosing version can be placed only in exactly one orientation on the bracket 232.
- FIG. 1 a cross section through the enclosing socket 241 of the blank 240 is shown in FIG.
- the longitudinal axis L is perpendicular to the plane of the paper.
- the outer shape of the enclosing socket 241 may be cylindrical or approximately cylindrical, but in principle also may be arbitrarily shaped to ensure contact with the stopper 231, the inner shape is formed complementary to the outer shape of the holder 232.
- the inner shape of the enclosing frame 241 comprises a region 471 in the form of a flat, which corresponds in size and shape to the flat portion 470 on the holder 232.
- the holder 232 is designed as a different geometric shape, for example, as shown in Figure 4b, as a prism.
- the longitudinal axis of the holder 232 runs perpendicular to the stop 231 on the milling machine.
- the cross-section of the enclosing socket 241 perpendicular to the longitudinal axis L may have a corresponding internal cross-sectional shape of a prism, so that the blank 240 can be engaged via the enclosing socket 241 on the milling machine with the holder 232 and brought into abutment against the stop 231 can.
- Figures 5a and 5b show the orientation of the opening 354 in the enclosing socket 241 in relation to a connection geometry 580 given by the pin 243.
- the connection geometry 580 is shown schematically as a strip.
- the orientation is shown by dashed line 243 '.
- the determination of this orientation 243 ' is basically arbitrary but in FIGS. 5a and 5b on the same basis.
- a connecting line between the connection geometry 580 on the surface of the pin and the longitudinal axis L can be selected, wherein this connection line is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis.
- the resulting line can be understood as characteristic of the orientation of the connection geometry 580.
- the orientation of the aperture 354 may be determined to form a perpendicular line of interconnection with the longitudinal axis L from the center of the aperture so as to define the orientation 354 '.
- the opening is rotated by an angle ⁇ with respect to the connection geometry 580, so that the orientations 243 'and 354' form a corresponding angle ⁇ relative to one another.
- the dental component 244 to be produced from the blank 240 would therefore have a specific, first orientation with respect to the connection geometry 580, which is illustrated by dashed lines here by way of example.
- the choice of the openings, or in general the connecting elements of the enclosing socket, which allow the production of a detachable connection with the holder of the milling machine, allows in relation to the connection geometry 580 setting the orientation of the manufactured from the blank dental component in relation to this connection geometry with high accuracy. Due to the enclosing socket and the connecting elements for producing the releasable connection with the holder and the stop, the most accurate possible alignment of the blank 240 as such on the milling machine, so that the dental component are also milled according to the predetermined connection geometry with minimal deviations can.
