  • the instant invention may be adapted to monitor and measure the cold output efficiency, or the cooling rate of a cooling device, by replacing the chiller with a warmer and using a fluid that is adapted to flow through the conduit structure without freezing when subjected to the cold output.

Abstract

Selon la présente invention, afin de déterminer l'efficacité de sortie thermique d'un dispositif de chauffage tel qu'une couverture chauffante à convection, une structure de conduit est construite de manière à avoir des tubulures métalliques enroulées qui forment la tête, le torse et d'autres parties non mobiles d'un analogue d'une personne. Des tubulures flexibles interconnectent les tubulures métalliques pour établir un conduit continu entre une entrée et une sortie de la structure, de sorte qu'un fluide ayant une capacité thermique particulière puisse écouler de façon ininterrompue à travers la structure de conduit. Des capteurs de température respectifs à l'entrée et à la sortie mesurent les températures d'entrée de sortie du fluide. Au moyen du débit, de la capacité thermique et des températures respectives du fluide mesurées à l'entrée et à la sortie, l'efficacité de sortie thermique de la couverture peut être calculée. Une caméra FLIR peut être utilisée pour obtenir une image IR afin de confirmer l'efficacité de sortie thermique de la couverture.
