Es conocido en el arte el uso de hilos o bandas elásticas en la parte de entrepierna de este tipo de artículos, principalmente de los pañales y calzones desechables, de modo que durante el uso, estos hilos o bandas elásticas rodean los muslos del usuario, ajustándose de tal manera que forman un sello con la piel y no permiten que los fluidos salgan del artículo.
Existen una infinidad de propuestas tendientes a mejorar el funcionamiento de las zonas elásticas de pierna de los artículos absorbentes desechables, tales como las patentes US3860003, US3828784, US4050462, US4325372, US4397645, US4402688, US4425127, US4626305, US4657539, US4726807, US4854989, US4880420, US5275676, US5368584, US5649919, US7037301, US 8,690,851 entre otras.
No obstante estas propuestas, se sigue presentando el problema en cuanto a que los hilos o bandas elásticas de la entrepierna lastiman la piel del usuario, dejando marcas rojas e irritando la piel, una manera de evitar que esto ocurra es bajando la tensión de los hilos o bandas elásticas, sin embargo esto podría demeritar el funcionamiento del artículo permitiendo el paso por esta zona, de exudados líquidos o semi sólidos.
Un artículo absorbente desechable, tal como un pañal o un calzón desechable, esta formado básicamente por una capa interna permeable a los líquidos, una capa externa impermeable a los líquidos y una matriz absorbente colocada entre ambas capas interna y externa; los hilos o bandas elásticas de pierna, se colocan entre las capas interna y externa, de tal forma que, durante el uso, solamente la capa interna permeable queda colocada entre los hilos o bandas elásticas y la pierna del usuario. La capa interna de un artículo de este tipo es generalmente una tela no tejida de bajo peso base, por lo que no es un aislante adecuado para que la banda o hilos elásticos no lastimen la piel del usuario. Por otro lado, es deseable en este tipo de artículos que la capa externa impermeable tenga apariencia de tela, por tal motivo generalmente se utiliza como capa externa un laminado de dos capas unidas entre sí, una capa de una película plástica hidrófoba por la parte interna del laminado, y una capa de tela no tejida por la parte externa, para lograr la apariencia de tela. Así, se propone mediante el presente invento que la banda o hilos elásticos que forman la zona de ajuste en la entrepierna del artículo, se coloquen entre las dos capas que forman el laminado de la capa externa, de este modo entre la banda o hilos elásticos y la piel hay una doble capa de material que ayuda a suavizar esta zona y a aislar esta banda o hilos elásticos protegiendo la piel del usuario.
Por otro lado, la colocación de la banda o hilos elásticos entre las capas del laminado de la capa externa, da la posibilidad de ampliar el ancho de la zona elástica de la cintura del artículo, puesto que con la colocación tradicional, entre las capas interna y externa, es necesario crear un canal sin adhesivo por las partes frontal y trasera del artículo, que se prolonga hacia arriba y hacia abajo hasta las orillas transversales, a partir de la zona elástica de entrepierna a cada lado de la matriz absorbente, de tal forma que la zona elástica de cintura se ve limitada a la distancia que hay entre estos canales. Lo anterior se explicará a detalle más adelante.
Objetivos de la invención
El objetivo de la presente invención es lograr un ajuste adecuado de un articulo absorbente desechable a la piel del usuario en la zona elástica de entrepierna, formando un sello eficiente que no lastime la piel del usuario
Otro objetivo de la invención es que esta solución sea factible, de fácil aplicación y no incremente el costo del producto .
Un objetivo adicional del invento es que se de la posibilidad de ampliar el ancho de la zona elástica de cintura, ya sea por la parte frontal y/o por la parte trasera del articulo.

Un articulo absorbente desechable es un articulo que absorbe y contiene los exudados del cuerpo y que se descarta después del uso. La presente descripción se hará en base en un pañal desechable para bebés, entendiéndose que puede aplicarse también a otro tipo de artículos absorbentes desechables, tales como pañales y protectores desechables para adultos incontinentes, calzones entrenadores, toallas sanitarias femeninas y toallas de incontinencia.
Las figuras 1 y 2 muestran un pañal desechable formado por una capa interna (40) permeable a los líquidos, una capa externa (42) impermeable a los líquidos, una matriz absorbente (44) colocada entre ambas capas interna (40) y externa (42), un sistema de sujeción formado por un par de lengüetas de cinta (48) y una banda o cinta frontal (50); el pañal tiene además dos zonas elásticas, una en la cintura (64) y otra, a ambos lados longitudinales, en la entrepierna del artículo, es decir una zona elástica de entrepierna (66) . Las capas interna (40) y externa (42) son cotérminas y se extienden más allá de los márgenes de la matriz absorbente (44), formando el contorno del pañal (46) .
Los artículos absorbentes tales como los pañales desechables, tienen una zona frontal (58), una zona trasera (60) y una zona de entrepierna (62); la zona frontal (58) es la que quedara colocada por la parte de cintura y cadera frontales del usuario durante el uso, la zona trasera (60) quedara colocada por las partes de cintura y cadera trasera del mismo, mientras que la zona de entrepierna (62) es la que quedará colocada entre las piernas y envolviendo los muslos del usuario durante el uso.
Como capa interna (40) se utiliza generalmente una tela no tejida de bajo peso base, entre 6 y 20 g/m2; puede ser hidrófila o puede tener una zona hidrófila en la parte central y dos zonas hidrófobas a cada lado de ésta. La tela no tejida utilizada como capa interna (40) puede tener cualquier composición (polietileno, polipropileno, poliéster, algodón, celulosa, rayón, acido poliláctico, etc.) y puede estar formada por fibras uni componentes, bi componentes, tri componentes o mezclas de éstas. Asi mismo, las fibras que forman la tela pueden unirse utilizando cualquier proceso conocido en el medio, tal como unión por presión y calor a través de una calandra, unión por medio de resinas, unión por medio de aire caliente, etc.. y puede estar compuesta por una o varias capas unidas entre si.
Se busca que este tipo de artículos sean lo más parecido a la ropa interior en cuanto a suavidad y apariencia, por lo que, por lo general, se utiliza, como capa externa (42), un laminado formado dos cubiertas, una interna (54) y una externa (56), tal como se puede apreciar en la figura 3, que es un corte a través de la linea A-A' de la figura 2. La cubierta interna (54) del laminado es hidrófoba y la externa (56) puede ser hidrófila o hidrófoba. Generalmente se utiliza como cubierta interna (54) un polietileno de baja densidad; puede utilizarse también una tela no tejida hidrófoba. Como cubierta externa (56) se utiliza una tela no tejida. La cubierta interna (54) del laminado quedará colocada hacia el interior del articulo y evitará el paso de los fluidos corporales. La tela no tejida de la cubierta externa (56), le dará la apariencia tipo tela al articulo; esta tela no tejida le da la vista y la apariencia exterior al articulo, puede estar grabada o impresa con diversos gráficos para hacer atractivo el articulo; puede utilizarse cualquier tipo de tela no tejida tales como las descritas para la capa interna (40), siempre que tenga las características mecánicas adecuadas para poder laminarse con la capa hidrófoba, así como la suavidad, flexibilidad y apariencia requerida. Puede ser hidrófila o hidrófoba .
La matriz absorbente (44) del artículo del invento puede estar constituida por fibras de material absorbente, tales como celulosa desfibrada, asi como cualquier otro tipo de fibras absorbentes naturales o sintéticas tales como poliéster, polipropileno, rayón, etc. Las fibras de material absorbente pueden estar mezcladas con material superabsorbente, sintético o natural, tal como poliacrilatos , almidones, alginatos, chitosan, etc. En la figura 1 se muestra una matriz absorbente (44) en forma de "I", sin embargo la misma puede tener otras formas, puede ser rectangular, con forma de reloj de arena, forma de "T" o cualquier otra forma que se considere adecuada.
El sistema de sujeción del articulo esta formado por un par de lengüetas de cinta (48) y una banda o cinta frontal (50) . Las lengüetas de cinta (48) generalmente se unen a la parte de cintura trasera del articulo, o, tal como se muestra en la figura 2, a un par de orejas (52) que pueden ser rígidas o elásticas y que a su vez, están unidas a la zona trasera (60) del artículo; las lengüetas de cinta (48) pueden tener zonas o ser completamente rígidas o elásticas, pueden ser adhesivas o mecánicas; la banda o cinta frontal (50) esta colocada sobre la capa externa (42) por la parte de cintura frontal del artículo, y debe elegirse de un material adecuado, para que las lengüetas de cinta (48) puedan unirse a ésta de manera desprendible, tal que se puedan separar y volver a unir a la misma cuantas veces sea necesario para ajustar el articulo al colocarlo en el usuario y puedan desprenderse sin rasgar ni lastimar el articulo cuando el articulo es retirado del usuario.
Las zonas elásticas de entrepierna (66) se forman mediante la inclusión de hilos o bandas elásticas de entrepierna (68) en la zona de entrepierna (62) del pañal. En los artículos del arte previo, estos hilos o bandas elásticas (68) están colocados en forma tensionada entre las capas interna (40) y externa (42), tal como se muestra en la figura 1. Así, entre la piel del usuario y la banda o hilos elásticos (68) se interpone solamente la capa de tela no tejida de la cual esta formada la capa interna (40) del artículo. Tal como se mencionó, es conveniente que esta tela no tejida sea de bajo peso base, entre 6 y 20 gr/m2. El uso de una tela no tejida de bajo peso base interpuesta entre la banda o hilos elásticos (68) y la piel del usuario, no es suficiente para que estos hilos o bandas elásticas (68) no lastimen la piel, por lo que, de acuerdo a las enseñanzas del presente invento, los hilos o bandas elásticas de entrepierna se colocan entre las capas que forman el laminado de la capa externa (42) del artículo, tal como se muestra en las figuras 2 y 3 de tal forma que entre la piel del usuario y la banda o hilos elásticos se interpone la cubierta interna (54) del laminado (42) y la tela no tejida de la capa interna del articulo (40), aislando la banda o hilos elásticos (68) para proteger la piel del usuario.
Los artículos absorbentes desechables se fabrican en líneas continuas de producción que trabajan a altas velocidades, para colocar las bandas o hilos elásticos de entrepierna, éstos se estiran hasta la tensión deseada, y se unen entre las capas deseadas del artículo, mientras éste va avanzando en la línea de fabricación. Para lograr esta unión, generalmente se hace una aplicación intermitente de adhesivo en la zona donde se desea que la banda o hilos elásticos queden activos; la aplicación de adhesivo puede hacerse sobre cualquiera de las capas entre las que se colocarán los hilos o bandas elásticas o en ambas; de esta forma, la banda o hilos elásticos (68) son pegados de manera tensionada al sustrato deseado en la zona de entrepierna (62) . Debido a que la aplicación de adhesivo es intermitente y se hace solamente en la zonza de entrepierna, se crea un canal sin adhesivo (72) en las zonas por arriba y por debajo de la zona activa de los elásticos (74), es decir, de la zona donde se aplica el adhesivo, este canal sin adhesivo se prolonga hasta las orillas transversales frontal y trasera del artículo.
Cuando los elásticos se colocan entre las capas interna (40) y externa (42), la zona elástica de cintura (48) se ve limitada al ancho entre estos canales sin adhesivo (74), tal como se puede ver en la figura 1 (arte previo) , puesto que si los hilos o bandas elásticas de cintura (46) se colocan sobre estos canales (74), es necesario aplicar adhesivo en esta zona y los hilos o bandas elásticas de entrepierna (68) se fijarán tensionados en la zona de cintura deformando al pañal .
Al colocar los hilos o bandas elásticas de pierna (68) de acuerdo a las enseñanzas del presente invento, entre las cubiertas (54 y 56) que forman el laminado de la capa externa, el canal sin adhesivo es formado entre estas capas y la zona elástica de cintura (64) puede ampliarse hasta el ancho total de la parte de cintura trasera del articulo, tal como se muestra en la figura 2, que muestra el pañal del invento, puesto que el adhesivo de la zona elástica de cintura se coloca entre la capas interna permeable (40) y la parte interna de la cubierta impermeable (54) del laminado que forma la capa externa (42) del articulo, y de esta manera el adhesivo no entra en contacto con el canal sin adhesivo (72) que en este caso se crea entre las cubiertas interna (54) y externa (56) del este laminado.
En la industria de los artículos absorbentes desechables, el laminado utilizado como capa externa (42), puede adquirirse como tal (ya laminado) y entrar a la línea de producción del articulo absorbente desechable como un solo material o puede formarse como un proceso adicional dentro de la linea de fabricación del articulo. En este último caso, la linea de producción tiene un módulo adicional para formar el laminado; la tela no tejida (56) (cubierta externa del laminado) y la capa hidrófoba (54) (cubierta interna del laminado) , se alimentan a este módulo y se unen como un paso más del proceso de fabricación del articulo, a esto se le conoce como laminado en linea. La unión entre las cubiertas que forman el laminado puede hacerse por unión térmica, adhesiva, ultrasónica o cualquier otro tipo de unión conocida en el medio. Para los fines del presente invento, el laminado que forma la capa externa (42) debe formarse en linea, tal que sea posible introducir los hilos o bandas elásticas de entre pierna (68) entre las capas que forman el laminado.
Por otro lado, al introducir los hilos o bandas elásticas que forman las zonas de elásticas de entrepierna (66) ente las cubiertas interna y externa del laminado de la capa externa (42), es posible incrementar el porcentaje de elongación en estas zonas, llegando a una elongación de hasta un 400% sin lastimar la piel del usuario.
Si bien la invención ha sido descrita en función de formas de realización actualmente preferidas, es evidente que los técnicos en la materia podrán idear cambios o modificaciones, pretendiéndose que tales cambios o modificaciones queden comprendidos dentro de los alcances y el espíritu de la invención, como se define en las reivindicaciones anexas.

Claims

Reivindicaciones
1. - Un articulo absorbente desechable que comprende
básicamente una capa interna, una capa externa formada por un laminado de dos cubiertas, una hidrófoba y una hidrófila, una matriz absorbente colocada entre la capa interna y la capa externa y zonas elásticas en las partes de cintura y de entrepierna formadas por hilos o bandas elásticas,
caracterizado porque los hilos o bandas elásticas de la zona de entrepierna están colocados entre las cubiertas que forman el laminado de la capa externa, tal que entre los hilos o bandas elásticas y la piel de usuario quedan
colocadas la capa interna del articulo y la cubierta interna del laminado.
2. - Un articulo absorbente desechable tal como el descrito en la reivindicación 1, caracterizado porque la cubierta interna del laminado es hidrófoba.
3. - Un articulo absorbente desechable tal como el descrito en la reivindicación 2, caracterizado porque la cubierta interna del laminado es un polietileno de baja densidad.
4. - Un articulo absorbente desechable tal como el descrito en la reivindicación 2, caracterizado porque la cubierta interna del laminado es una tela no tejida hidrófoba.
5. - Un articulo absorbente desechable tal como el descrito en la reivindicación 2, caracterizado porque la cubierta externa del laminado es una tela no tejida.
6. - Un articulo absorbente desechable tal como el descrito en la reivindicación 1, caracterizado porque los hilos o bandas elásticas son estirados al menos un 200% antes de ser unidos entre las cubiertas interna y externa del laminado.
7. - Un articulo absorbente desechable tal como el descrito en cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores,
caracterizado porque los hilos o bandas elásticas de cintura se colocan entre las capas interna y externa del articulo y tienen un ancho mayor a la distancia entre las zonas elásticas de entrepierna.
