  • the invention relates to a cage for a roller bearing, comprising a ring structure with a plurality of receiving pockets for rolling elements.
  • Cages of the generic kind are well known in the art. In many cases cages made from plastic material are used. For producing a cage from plastic material a respective mould is necessary. Moulds for cages for large size bearings are very expensive in their production in the case that the cage has to be made as one piece. This is the normal case as only then the required strength is obtained.
  • a s o l u t i o n according to the invention is characterized in that the ring structure of the cage comprises two ring elements, wherein a first ring element is arranged in a radial inner region of the ring structure and a second ring element is arranged concentrically to the first ring element and in a radial outer region of the ring structure, wherein both ring elements comprise of a plurality of ring segments, wherein each ring segment extends along a part of the circumference of the ring structure.

This can be done in a manner such that the form-fitting connection establishes an undercut between a ring segment of the first ring element and a ring segment of the second ring element in radial direction.

  • a preferred embodiment of the invention proposes that two protrusions and two grooves are arranged in the axial end regions of the ring segments of the first ring element and the ring segments of the second ring element respectively.

Abstract

L'invention porte sur une cage (1) pour un roulement à rouleaux, laquelle cage comprend une structure de bague (2) avec une pluralité de poches de réception (3) pour des éléments de roulement. Pour permettre une production efficace vis-à-vis des coûts d'une telle cage, plus particulièrement pour des roulements de grande taille, l'invention est caractérisée en ce que la structure de bague (2) comprend deux éléments bagues (4, 5), un premier élément bague (4) étant disposé dans une région interne radiale de la structure de bague (2) et un second élément bague (5) étant disposé de façon concentrique vis-à-vis du premier élément bague (4) et dans une région externe radiale de la structure de bague (2), ces deux éléments bagues (4, 5) comprenant une pluralité de segments de bague (4', 4'', 4''', 4'''', 5', 5'', 5''', 5''''), chaque segment de bague (4', 4'', 4''', 4'''', 5', 5'', 5''', 5'''') s'étendant le long d'une partie de la périphérie de la structure de bague (2). Les segments de bague (4', 4'', 4''', 4'''') du premier élément bague (4) et les segments de bague (5', 5'', 5''', 5'''') du second élément bague (5) sont reliés à l'aide d'un raccord à adaptation de forme (8, 9), le raccord à adaptation de forme (8, 9) établissant une entaille entre un segment de bague (4', 4'', 4''', 4'''') du premier élément bague (4) et un segment de bague (5', 5'', 5''', 5'''') du second élément bague (5) dans une direction radiale (r).
