Definitions
- the purpose of the present invention application is to register an improved folding umbrella, which incorporates notable innovations and advantages over the techniques used so far.
- the invention proposes the development of a perfected drop-down umbrella, which by its particular arrangement, allows to offer the advantages over conventional umbrellas of giving a more consistent shadow, of not being so easily dragged by the wind and of presenting an aspect exterior more attractive than the conventional umbrella.
- the shadow offered to the user is the one that emerges from a single layer of textile material, forming a hot air bag in the shadow zone.
- conventional umbrellas become flying objects, and can cause serious problems.
- document ES1013416U refers to an inflated umbrella consisting of a new mechanism, which, being inflatable and removable, will have a valve or several with its corresponding cap and a base for better maintenance that in this case does not enter its mechanism but it is attached to the umbrella, because it is a briefcase base circulate with its handle and lid that closes with thread and serves to fold and store the umbrella when not in use or for easy transport. It differs significantly from the requested invention.
- Document ES1056592U proposes a folding device for umbrellas, specifically for umbrellas provided with a telescopic mast to which two sets of rods are articulated, one superior and sustaining of the covering element, and another inferior articulated in turn to the first, and in which the telescopic displacement of said mast is carried out with the collaboration of a crank and by means of an appropriate transmission mechanism, such as a spindle-nut system, that the lower rod set is articulated jointly to a longitudinally movable bushing on the mast, a sleeve to which the end of at least one cable is integral, which, after an initial and ascending path, stops on a pulley conveniently established near the upper extremity of the mast, to then descend to the axis of the drive crank , so that the operation of said crank brings, parallel to a telescopic mast extension, by ascending displacement of the mobile strut that participates in it, a descent of the lower bushing, with the consequent shortening of the telescopic mast in the closing position for the umbrella.
- the present invention contributes to solve and solve the present problem, as it offers a more consistent shadow, and it is not allowed to be dragged so easily by the wind, and has an exterior appearance more attractive than the conventional umbrella.
- the application of the present invention is in the sector of the umbrella industry and, in particular, of the imbricated and artistically decorated sunshades. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
- the present invention has been developed in order to provide an improved folding umbrella, which is essentially characterized by the fact that it comprises a substantially tubular central axis supported or inserted in the ground, a longitudinal extensible structure, an extensible elastic harness, and some noticeably elongated screens, the structure consisting of articulated plates between them with repetitive parallelogram configuration and interlocking as a scissor providing the structure with extensible capacity in the direction of its longitudinal axis, the central axis being positioned in its longitudinal interior being substantially coinciding with the longitudinal axis of said structure, the concentric harness being with the same central axis and extending linearly along the central axis, thus presenting a contracted position due to its elastic nature and another extended position when the elastic resistance is overcome, presenting the structure a plurality of differentiated levels and determined by the arrangement of the plates in repetitive parallelogram configuration and by their scissors arrangement, and the structure at each level presenting the substantially elongated screens inserted in the plates, and with an orientation with respect to the axis central variable according to the degree of
- the elastic harness is slidable along the central axis, and on the central axis there is a trigger-shaped support, arranged so that in the sliding of the elastic harness along the central axis towards the position just below the structure, the harness pushes the support towards the inside of the central axis when exceeding it, and once exceeded, the harness is supported on said support.
- the harness has hoops enabled for the passage of a bolt, so that the harness remains in an extended position as the hoops are pierced by the bolt, overcoming the elastic resistance of the harness itself.
- the bolt is attached to a sail, said sail being presented a suitable way to be dragged by the surrounding wind.
- Figure 1 It is a schematic view of a preferred embodiment of the improved folding umbrella of the present invention.
- Figure 2. It is a schematic view of a detail of a preferred embodiment of the improved folding umbrella of the present invention.
- Figure 3.- It is a schematic view of a deployment detail of a preferred embodiment of the improved folding umbrella of the present invention.
- the improved folding umbrella of the invention comprises a substantially tubular central axis 1 that is supported or inserted in the ground, a longitudinal extensible structure 2, an extensible elastic harness 3, and screens 4 substantially elongated.
- the structure 2 is formed by plates 21 articulated between them with repetitive parallelogram configuration and interlocking as a scissor, providing the structure 2 with extensible capacity in the direction of its longitudinal axis.
- the central axis 1 is positioned, which is substantially coincident with the longitudinal axis of the structure 2.
- the elastic harness 3 is concentric with the same central axis 1 and linearly extensible along said central axis 1, presenting a contracted position due to its elastic nature and another extended position when its elastic resistance is overcome.
- the structure 2 has a plurality of differentiated levels and determined by the arrangement of the plates 21 in repetitive parallelogram configuration and by its arrangement as a scissor.
- the structure 2 presents on each level the screens 4 substantially elongated and inserted in the plates 21, as can be seen in Figures 1 and 2.
- structure 2 has four levels, and at each level four screens 4, as shown in Figure 1.
- screens 4 are represented per level.
- the screens 4 have an orientation with respect to the central axis 1 which is variable according to the degree of extension of the structure 2 itself, by varying according to the degree of extension of the structure 2 the inclination of the plates 21 where the screens 4.
- each of the screens 4 is contained in a plane which in turn contains the central axis 1.
- the assembly of the screens 4 are arranged radially around the central axis 1.
- the elastic harness 3 can slide along the central axis 1.
- the elastic harness 3 is concentrically positioned on the central axis 1, just below the structure 2, so that if the harness 3 is in a contracted position the structure 2 is in extended position along the central axis 1, and if the harness 3 is in an extended position forces the structure 2 to be in a contracted position, because the harness 3 is in turn supported on the support 5, as explained above and can be seen comparatively in figures 1 and 3.
- the screens 4 are inclined substantially parallel to the central axis 1, and therefore in folding arrangement, as schematically shown in Figure 1.
- the screens 4 are inclined substantially perpendicular to the central axis 1, and therefore in provision of deployment, in order to offer its benefits as an umbrella.
- the harness 3 has rings 31 enabled for the passage of a bolt 32, so that the harness 3 remains in an extended position as the rings 31 are pierced by the bolt 32, the elastic resistance overcoming of the harness 3 itself, and therefore the structure 2 remains in the contracted position and the screens 4 deployed, as can be seen in Figure 3 itself.
- the bolt 32 is attached to a sail 33, said sail 33 presented a suitable way to be dragged by the surrounding wind and thus dislodge by the action of the wind surrounding the bolt 32 from its position through the rings 31 , as schematically represented in Figure 3.
- the elastic harness 3 returns to its contracted position due to its own elastic nature, whereby the structure 2 passes to its extended position and the screens 4 move into position. folding shown in figure 1.
- the perfected drop-down umbrella object of the present invention offers an attractive decorative vision, even when closed, each user can customize the exterior appearance of their own umbrella, since their screens 4 are interchangeable, for example to configure a flower-shaped umbrella .
- Each screen 4 would be a petal, said screens 4 being in the form of overlapping petals at different levels and as a whole forming a flower-like appearance.
- Each screen 4 in the form of a petal it is independent, not touching each other, but they offer a compact shadow by the overlapping of said screens 4, and therefore a hot air bag is not formed in its shadow, but the shadow is more consistent and cooler .
- the details, shapes, dimensions and other accessory elements, as well as the materials used in the manufacture of the perfected folding umbrella of the invention may be conveniently replaced by others that are technically equivalent and do not depart from the essentiality of the invention. nor of the scope defined by the claims included below.
