Le système de POS comprend les étapes suivantes : un terminal de POS reçoit de manière séquentielle deux empreintes digitales ou plus d'un titulaire de carte de crédit qui effectue un paiement avec une carte de crédit, de manière à coder un résultat de reconnaissance selon l'ordre d'entrée, puis à coder le résultat de reconnaissance avec une estampille temporelle et des informations de carte, ce qui permet de transmettre l'information codée à un serveur de paiement ; le serveur de paiement reçoit du terminal de POS des informations d'entrée d'ensemble d'empreintes digitales produites par le codage du résultat de reconnaissance après avoir reçu séquentiellement les deux empreintes digitales ou plus, les informations de carte et l'estampille temporelle, de manière à déterminer la validité d'une heure de paiement à l'aide de l'estampille temporelle, à interroger les informations fournies dans une base de données d'abonnés et à distinguer et à comparer une ou plusieurs informations d'ensemble d'empreintes digitales de façon à approuver le paiement ; et la base de données d'abonnés est destinée à mémoriser un ou plusieurs ensembles de données d'empreintes digitales à comparer avec des données de reconnaissance d'image d'ensemble d'empreintes digitales entrées dans le terminal de POS (100).
