Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un panneau fonctionnel au moyen d'une fibre ignifuge mixte et, plus particulièrement, un procédé de fabrication d'un panneau fonctionnel au moyen d'une fibre ignifuge mixte, comprenant les étapes consistant à : mélanger, selon un rapport fixe, du coton naturel ignifugé, une fibre de liber naturelle ignifugée comprenant du chanvre, de la jute, du lin et du kenaf ou une fibre de coco et une fibre de résine thermoplastique sélectionnée parmi une fibre de polypropylène, une fibre acrylique, une fibre d'acétate de vinyle-éthylène, une fibre de polyéthylène et une fibre de nylon ; ouvrir et tasser la fibre mixte et la stratifier afin de former un non-tissé à partir de la fibre mixte ; acheminer le non-tissé à travers une chambre de séchage afin de sécher et de préchauffer simultanément celui-ci ; appliquer une pression sur celui-ci au moyen d'une presse chauffante de façon à façonner un panneau de fibres mixtes ; et former une couche de protection décorative sur la surface du panneau façonné.
