Definitions
- the present invention relates to the field of communications, and in particular, to a UE and related call response method. Background technique
- the UE initiates a radio resource control connection request or a cell update request to the network. If the network resources are insufficient or the network is in a congested state, the network may reject the UE's request by using the radio resource control connection reject message or the cell update information. Further, the network may also actively release the current connection of the UE, for example, releasing the message through the radio resource control connection. When the network rejects the UE, it sends a waiting message to the UE, indicating that the UE does not initiate a repeat request within the time indicated by the parameter.
- the waiting information does not achieve a distinction between domains. If the UE initiates a PS service request and is notified by the network, the CS service of the UE also has to wait. In addition, the maximum waiting period is 15 seconds. For some services, especially PS services, this duration is too short and needs to be extended.
- An enhancement mechanism has been developed at this stage.
- the mechanism distinguishes the waiting information from the domain.
- the CS service of the UE does not need to wait, and vice versa.
- the mechanism prolongs the waiting time, especially the PS service can wait for a maximum of 1800 seconds or longer.
- another enhancement mechanism has emerged at this stage.
- the mechanism allocates different access group information to the UE, and makes a group distinction between the waiting information, so that when the service request belonging to an access group is notified by the network notification, , does not affect the service request of UEs of other access groups, and vice versa.
- the mechanism prolongs the waiting time, especially the low priority access group can wait for a maximum of 1800 seconds or longer. Details of the access group (AG, Access Group) can be found in TR JOO 5.1.3.3.
- the mechanism greatly increases the waiting time and brings new problems:
- the UE has no information interaction with the network while waiting. If the waiting time is too long, it is possible that the network cannot page the UE, and thus the UE is considered to be down or not in the network.
- the network may release the connection with the UE, which causes additional time-consuming re-establishment of the connection with the network when the UE waits for the end, and the user experience is not good.

- the response module 405 may send the response message to the network immediately, or may not immediately send the response message to the network. This embodiment is not limited, as long as the response module 405 sends a response message to the network before the timer expires.
- the response module 405 may discard the call message and do not perform corresponding operations.
- the embodiment is not limited.
- the timer 402 performs timing according to the waiting information, and the timing duration is the first preset duration in the waiting information. If the information receiving module 403 receives the call message sent by the network before the timer expires, the second determining module 404 determines whether the current time interval of the timer is less than the second preset duration, and if the result is Yes, the response module 405 can respond to calls on the network so that the network can page to the UE.
- the embodiment of the present invention can implement paging of the UE in the first preset duration corresponding to the waiting information, and improve the paging.
- the network considers that the UE has been shut down or is not in the network due to paging failure of the UE, which reduces the possibility that the network releases the connection with the UE, and saves the UE from re-establishing the network when the first preset duration is over.
- the extra time spent on the connection the user experience is better.
- the UE's response to the network call tends to increase the strain on the network resources.
- the parameter of the second preset duration is added, so that the response module 405 does not respond to the call of the network before the duration of the timer at the current time of the timer is less than the second preset duration.
- the current time of the 402 is less than the second preset duration after the timer expires, and then the network is called, so that the method provided in this embodiment does not remain at the current time of the timer 402. If the duration is less than the second preset duration, the resource shortage of the network is aggravated, and the pressure of network resource shortage is alleviated.
- the embodiment shown in FIG. 4 provides a UE, where the information receiving module 403 receives the call message sent by the network before the timer 402 times out, the second determining module 404 determines that the current time distance of the timer 402 is timeout. Whether the duration is less than the second preset duration, if the determination result is yes, the response module 405 sends a response message to the network.
- the following embodiment provides another UE on the basis of the method shown in FIG. 4, which is used to describe how to send a response message to the network when the determination result is negative.
- the UE includes:
- the waiting receiving module 501 is configured to receive waiting information sent by the network;
- a timer 502 configured to perform timing, and the timing duration is the first preset duration
- the information receiving module 503 is configured to receive a call message sent by the network.
- the second determining module 504 is configured to: if the information receiving module 503 receives the call message sent by the network before the timer expires, determine whether the current time interval of the timer 502 is less than the second preset.
- the second preset duration is less than the first preset duration;
- the second saving module 505 is configured to: if the second determining module 504 determines the duration of the current timeout of the timer 502 from the timeout of the timer 502 Not less than the second preset duration, saving the call message;
- the response module 506 is configured to: if the second judging module 504 determines that the duration of the current time interval timer of the timer 502 is less than the second preset duration, send a response message to the network before the timer 502 times out.
- the network element that sends the message on the network side may be the base station controller, for example, in this embodiment, the waiting receiving module 501 is configured to receive the waiting information sent by the base station controller, where the information receiving module 503 is configured to receive the The call message sent by the base station controller, the response module 506 is configured to send the response message to the base station controller.
- the second determining module 504 determines the current time distance of the timer. Whether the duration of the timer 502 timeout is less than the second preset duration.
- the second preset duration is less than the first preset duration.
- the second preset duration may be set by the network, may be set by the UE, or may be customized by the user, which is not limited in this embodiment.
- the second saving module 505 saves the call message until the current time interval of the timer is determined, if the second determining module 504 determines that the current time interval of the timer is not less than the second preset duration.
- the remaining duration of the timer timeout is less than the second preset duration; if the second determining module 504 determines that the current duration of the timer is less than the second preset duration from the timer 502, the response module 506 before the timer expires.
- the response module 506 can immediately send a response message to the network, or can not immediately send a response message to the network. This embodiment is not limited, as long as the response message is sent to the network before the timer expires.
- the response message that the response module 506 responds before the timer expires may be an information receiving mode.
- the call message received by the second save module 505 may be the call message saved by the second save module 505 at the current time of the timer, and may be the call message saved by the second save module 505. .
- the timer 502 performs timing according to the waiting information, and the timing duration is the first preset duration in the waiting information. If the information receiving module 503 receives the call message sent by the network before the timer expires, the second determining module 504 determines whether the current time interval of the timer is less than the second preset duration, if the judgment result is Yes, the response module 505 can respond to calls on the network so that the network can page to the UE.
- the embodiment of the present invention can implement paging of the UE in the first preset duration corresponding to the waiting information, and improve the paging.
- the network considers that the UE has been shut down or is not in the network due to paging to the UE, which reduces the possibility that the network releases the connection with the UE, and does not leave the timer at the current time of the timer 502.
- the duration of the second preset time is longer than the second preset time, which increases the resource shortage of the network and alleviates the pressure of network resource shortage.
- the second save module 505 saves the received call message when the duration of the timeout period is not less than the second preset duration, and the current time interval of the timer expires.
- the response module 506 sends a response message to the network again when the duration is less than the second preset duration, so that the information receiving module 503 receives the time when the remaining time of the timer expires at the current time of the timer is not less than the second preset duration.
- the call message is not discarded, and the UE loses the network call message, which enhances the service completion capability of the UE and improves the user experience.
- the second determining module 504 determines whether the current time interval of the timer is less than the second preset duration. If the determination result is yes, the response module 506 sends a response message to the network.
- the UE includes:
- the waiting receiving module 601 is configured to receive waiting information sent by the network.
- the waiting information includes a first preset duration, where the waiting information is used to notify the UE that the request message is not sent to the network within the first preset duration;
- the third determining module 602 is configured to determine whether the first preset duration is greater than the third preset duration, and if yes, the trigger response module 605 sends an response message to the network before the timer expires;
- the information receiving module 604 is configured to receive a call message sent by the network;
- the response module 605 is configured to: if the information receiving module 604 receives the call message sent by the network before the timer 603 times out, send a response message to the network before the timer expires.
- the network element that sends the message on the network side may be the base station controller, for example, in this embodiment, the waiting receiving module 601 is configured to receive the waiting information sent by the base station controller, where the information receiving module 604 is configured to receive the The call message sent by the base station controller, the response module 605 is configured to send the response message to the base station controller.
- the third determining module 602 determines whether the first preset duration is greater than the third preset duration, the first preset duration in the waiting information may be longer or shorter.
- the first preset duration is short, even if the response module 605 does not respond to the call of the network while waiting for the first preset duration, the network is less likely to disconnect the service connection with the UE during this period of time. Only when the first preset time is long, the network is more likely to disconnect from the UE when the UE waits for the first preset duration. Therefore, in this embodiment, the UE first needs to measure the length of the first preset duration. Therefore, the third determining module 602 determines whether the first preset duration is greater than the third preset duration.
- the third preset duration is a preset duration, and the length of the third preset duration may be set by the UE, may also be a network setting, or may be a user-defined setting, which is not limited herein.
- the third determining module 602 determines that the first preset duration is greater than the third preset duration, if the information receiving module 604 receives the call message sent by the network before the timer expires, the response module 605 sends a response to the network before the timer expires. If the third determining module 602 determines that the first preset duration is not greater than the third preset duration, the first preset duration is shorter, and the response module 605 performs other operations. There are more than 4 types of other operations, such as immediately responding to a call message sent by the network, or saving the call message and sending a response message to the network before the timer expires, or waiting for the timer to time out before sending a response message to the network, or dropping the message.
- the call message may also be other types of operations, which is not limited in this embodiment.
- the third determining module 602 may determine that the first preset duration is greater than or equal to the third preset duration, if the information is received.
- the module 604 receives the call message sent by the network before the timer expires, and the response module 605 sends a response message to the network before the timer expires. If the third determining module 602 determines that the first preset duration is less than the third preset duration, Response module 605 performs other operations. This embodiment is not limited.
- the waiting signal received by the third determining module 602 and waiting for the receiving module 601 is received.
- the timer 603 performs timing according to the waiting information, and the timing duration is the first preset duration in the waiting information.
- the response module 605 can respond to the call of the network, so that the network can page to the UE.
- the first preset duration is larger than the first preset duration corresponding to the waiting information.
- the network can implement the UE in the first preset duration. The paging improves the situation that the network considers that the UE is powered off or not in the network because the paging is not available to the UE, and reduces the possibility that the network releases the connection with the UE.
- the waiting information does not achieve a distinction between domains. If the UE initiates a PS service request and is notified by the network, the CS service of the UE also has to wait. In addition, the maximum duration of the first preset duration in the waiting message is 15 seconds. For some services, especially PS services, this duration is too short and needs to be extended. Therefore, an enhancement mechanism has emerged at this stage.
- the mechanism distinguishes the waiting information from the domain so that when the UE initiates the PS service request and is notified by the network, the CS service of the UE does not have to wait, and vice versa. On this basis, the mechanism lengthens the time of the first preset duration in the waiting information. In particular, the maximum length of the first preset duration corresponding to the PS service can reach 1800 seconds or even longer.
- the embodiment of the present invention may also combine the foregoing waiting information enhancement mechanism to perform domain division of the waiting information according to the service type, including dividing the waiting information into the CS domain waiting information and the PS domain waiting information according to the domain, and/or waiting for the information according to the AG. Divided into different groups.

- the business of other domains is not affected.
- the waiting information received by the UE is the CS waiting information and the PS waiting information
- the UE sets two timing durations for the timer, which are the CS preset duration and the PS preset duration, respectively, and there is no current time of the timer.

Since the waiting information received by the UE does not include the AG waiting information, the UE normally sends an AG service request message to the network, and normally responds to the AG service call message of the network.
- the response method of the UE according to different types of waiting information may be different when the waiting information received by the UE includes different types of waiting information.
- the UE responds to the service request message of the CS domain after the current time of the timer exceeds the CS preset time; but the UE is in the timer.
- the service request message that responds to the PS domain before the current time exceeds the preset time of the PS and may specifically be a service request message that immediately responds to the PS domain, or may be a service request message that does not immediately respond to the PS domain, as long as the current time of the timer

- the UE sends a response message to the network before the timer expires.
- the UE determines that the current time of the timer is less than the second preset, the remaining time of the timer expires
- the duration is that the UE sends a response message to the network before the timer expires.
- the UE may send a response message to the network immediately, or may not immediately send a response message to the network. This embodiment is not limited, as long as the UE sends a response message to the network before the timer expires.
- the call message that the UE responds before the timer expires may be a call message that is received when the UE is less than the second preset duration when the timer expires at the current time of the timer, or may be the UE.
- the call message that is received and saved when the timeout period of the timer is not less than the second preset duration is not limited in this embodiment.
- the UE performs timing according to the waiting information, and the timing duration is the first preset duration in the waiting information. If the UE receives the call message sent by the network before the timer expires, it determines whether the current time interval of the timer is less than the second preset duration. - the second preset duration if the judgment result is yes, sends a response message to the network.
- the following embodiment will provide another different call response method. Referring to FIG. 19, the basic process of another call response method provided by the embodiment of the present invention includes:
- Step 1901 The UE receives waiting information sent by the network.
- Step 1901 is basically the same as step 1801, and is not mentioned here.
- the UE starts a timer.
- the UE determines whether the first preset duration is greater than a third preset duration.
- the first preset duration in the wait message may be longer or shorter.
- the first preset duration is short, even if the UE does not respond to the call of the network while waiting for the first preset duration, the network is less likely to disconnect the service with the UE during this period of time. Only when the first preset time is long, the network is more likely to disconnect the service connection with the UE when the UE waits for the first preset time. Therefore, in this embodiment, the UE first needs to measure the length of the first preset duration. Therefore, the UE determines whether the first preset duration is greater than the third preset duration.
- the third preset duration is a preset duration, and the length of the third preset duration may be set by the UE, or may be set for the network, or may be a user-defined setting, which is not limited herein.
- step 1904 determines that the first preset duration is greater than the third preset duration. If the UE determines that the first preset duration is not greater than the third preset duration, step 1905 is performed.
- the UE If the UE receives a call message sent by the network before the timer expires, the UE sends a response message to the network before the timer expires.
- Steps 1903 and 1904 are basically the same as steps 1002 and 1003, and are not mentioned here.
- the UE performs other operations.
- the UE determines that the first preset duration is not greater than the third preset duration, indicating that the first preset duration is shorter, performing other operations.
- operations such as the UE immediately responding to the call message sent by the network, or saving the call message and sending a response message to the network before the timer expires, or waiting for the timer to expire before sending a response message to the network, or discarding the message.
- the call message may also be other types of operations, which is not limited in this embodiment.
- the UE may be: if the UE determines that the first preset duration is greater than or equal to the third preset duration, step 1904 is performed; If the first preset duration is less than the third preset duration, step 1505 is performed, which is not limited in this embodiment.
- the UE determines that the first preset duration in the waiting information is greater than the third preset duration, the UE performs timing according to the waiting information, and the timing duration is the first preset duration in the waiting information. Before the timing expires, the UE can respond to the call of the network, so that the network can page to the UE. With existing In the technology, the network can not locate the UE in the first preset duration corresponding to the information. In this embodiment of the present invention, when the first preset duration is long, the network searches for the UE within the first preset duration.
- the network is improved in the case that the UE is shut down or not in the network because the paging is not available to the UE, which reduces the possibility that the network releases the connection with the UE, and saves the UE from waiting for the end of the first preset duration.
- the extra time spent establishing a connection to the network is better.
- the waiting information may include: CS waiting information, and/or PS waiting information, and/or AG waiting information.

- the AG waiting information includes an AG preset duration, and the AG waiting information is used to notify the UE that the UE is no longer in the AG preset duration.
- the network sends an AG service request message, where the AG service refers to a service initiated by the UE belonging to the AG.
- the timeout period of the timer is the preset duration of the specified domain, and the UE processes the service of the specified domain according to the preset duration of the specified domain, where the waiting information received by the UE is the waiting information of the specified domain.
- the business of other domains is not affected. For example, when the waiting information received by the UE is the CS waiting information, the UE sets the timer duration of the timer to the CS preset duration, and does not send the CS domain service request message to the network before the timer expires, but the response network CS business call message.
- the UE does not include the PS waiting information and the AG waiting information in the waiting information received by the UE, so the UE
- the service request message of the PS domain and the AG service request message are normally sent to the network, and the network PS service call message and the AG service call message are normally responded.
- the waiting information received by the UE may be classified into the above categories, or may include multiple types of waiting information at the same time.
- the UE may set the timer to set the same multiple durations, and the timing durations are preset durations of the multiple specified domains, respectively, and the UE processes the multiple designated domains according to preset preset durations of the multiple specified domains.

- the service request message in response to the PS domain may be exceeded before the PS preset duration.
