  • the indent feature is located towards the lower end of the body and may embody a plurality of configurations and designs. In its preferred embodiment, the indent is of a rectangular contour with two rounded, adjacent corners, as seen in FIG. 1. Depth of the indentation is subject to change in the final embodiment of the present invention. There also exists a through hole at the bottom of the indentation for charging cable threading.
  • the window feature may be a simple cutout or may comprise a transparent material, each designed to hold the display unit, as seen in FIG.
  • the front cover component comprises a thin rectangular design similar to the contour of the indent feature of the main component.
  • the cover component is held in place by means of two hinges located on either side of the indent feature. This allows the component to rotate resulting in an open and closed position as seen in FIG. 1 and FIG. 8 respectively.
  • the mounting mechanism may embody a plurality of designs and configurations.
  • the mounting mechanism comprises a tubular extrusion with one end fastened to the underside of the main body and the other ending in a rectangular slab of material.
  • the rectangular slab portion may contain a plurality of through holes distributed about in various configurations. It the preferred embodiment there are four holes located at each corner of the slab and are used in conjunction with nuts and bolts to facilitate the mounting of the present invention, this in no way limits the fastening means for the present invention.
  • the mounting mechanism is attached to the floor or frame of a vehicle. Additional fastening means include, but are not limited to concrete, bolts, screws, glue, and rivets.
  • the mounting mechanism may be omitted and the main body may be either designed as part of the vehicle or retrofitted to be affixed to various elements in the vehicle.
  • Elements include, but are not limited to the back of seats, dashboards, center console, middle hand rest, and other various wall surfaces.

  • the charging cables comprise an electronic cable ending in a device specific charging connector.
  • the present invention contains a multitude of different charging cables, each compatible with a specific mobile device.
  • Charging cables include Universal Serial Bus (USB), micro USB, thirty pin connector, lightning connector, various laptop A/C adaptors, and other portable computer compatible adaptors of various numbers of pins and designs.

  • the present invention is able to charge the majority of the portable computer technology on the market, including but limited to google glasses, iPhones, Androids based smartphones, Kindles, Kobus, and laptops of different makes and designs. All the cables are threaded through the hole in the indent feature of the main body of the present invention with the charging connector segment ending in the outer perimeter as seen in FIG. 1.
  • the charging cables are electronically connected to an external power source in the vehicle via cables and a plurality of switches which are controlled and operated by the software.
  • the software program determines which charging cable is being utilizes and when signaled, creates the necessary voltage, power, and current to said charging cable.
  • the method portion of the present invention comprises three main steps.
  • the first step relates to the display of the advertisement information on the display unit component.
  • this information will contain a plurality of advertisement pages that cycles through while the system is idle.
  • Each of these advertisement pages will contain a default message conveying to the user the option to view and or interact with the present invention to obtain access to the mobile charging unit.
  • Step two is activated when the user interacts with the display unit and agrees to listen, watch, and or interact with the advertisement information in order to obtain access to the mobile charging unit. At this point the user has picked the correct charging cable and connected his or her mobile device.
  • Step three is initiated automatically after step two.
  • the method simultaneously initiates the advertisement material, which could entail a plurality of advertisement segments displayed in sequence, and provides a voltage to the charging cable or cables.
  • the flow of electricity to the charging cables is continued until the program stops it.
  • the time increment of advertisement and charging time may vary in the final embodiment of the present invention. In its preferred embodiment, one advertisement session equals fifteen minutes of charging, after which the user would be prompted to pay to continue charging. Payment may be processed through an in person transaction, cab driver adds to the meter for example, or in one embodiment the present invention contains money transfer capabilities.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un système et un procédé visant à utiliser une unité de charge de dispositif mobile comme programme d'incitation à l'affichage de données publicitaires. Le système et le procédé comprennent un corps principal qui renferme l'unité d'affichage et contient une indentation profonde pourvue d'une plaque de recouvrement raccordée par des charnières. Une pluralité de câbles de charge est également incluse et logée partiellement dans le corps principal. Un mécanisme de montage est utilisé pour fixer le corps principal et les autres composants à la surface interne d'un véhicule. L'unité d'affichage et les câbles de charge sont connectés électroniquement à une source d'alimentation électrique externe. Des commandes de fonctionnement sont dictées par le logiciel qui est sauvegardé dans la base de données. Les commandes comprennent l'affichage de données publicitaires, l'interaction avec l'utilisateur et le déclenchement du passage de l'électricité de la source d'alimentation électrique externe au dispositif informatique portable de l'utilisateur.
