Abstract
The present invention relates to a coffee machine and particularly a Turkish coffee machine which detects whether the coffee is cooked and which ends the process and at the same time, which prevents overflow.
Description
SPECIFICATION
A TURKISH COFFEE MACHINE TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to a beverage preparation machine used for preparation of beverages like tea, coffee, and particularly relates to coffee machines and more particularly relates to Turkish coffee machine.
PRIOR ART
Since hot beverages like tea and coffee are indispensable in our daily lives, tea and coffee machines are very frequently used. When the user desires to make Turkish coffee, he/she watches the electrical or traditional coffee pots or the machines used in making coffee, he/she observes if the coffee comes to a boil, and he/she puts the coffee from the pots to the cups after he/she observes that the coffee comes to a boil. Turkish coffee foams in a very rapid manner because of the intrinsic characteristic thereof, and therefore Turkish coffee tends to overflow. In order to detect that the cooking process has finished and in order to prevent overflow, the user shall watch the pot, and he/she shall diverge the pot from the heat source when the foam rises. Despite this, overflows can be faced in the pots which are not diverged from the heat source in time.
In the coffee machine disclosed in the invention with number 2011/13376, the temperature is monitored by means of the temperature sensors which are in contact with the liquid, and as the temperature approaches the boiling point, the decrease occurring in the temperature increase according to the applied power is detected. Afterwards, the applied power is decreased, and the temperature is fixed, and cooking of the coffee without boiling is provided. In said invention, the temperature sensors contact the liquid. Due to this, a correct measurement cannot be made in case liquid is loaded at a height which is lower than the height of the sensor. In case the sensor is very close to the base, since it is very close to the heater and since a measurement is going to be made which is higher than the real temperature value of the whole liquid, the coffee is not going to be prepared at the desired temperature.
As a result, because of all of the abovementioned problems, an improvement is required in the related technical field.

THE DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
In this detailed description, the subject matter coffee machine, which detects whether the coffee is cooked and which ends the process and at the same time, which prevents overflow, is explained with references to examples without forming any restrictive effect in order to make the subject more understandable.
With reference to Figure 1 , the subject matter coffee machine comprises a power transmission base (10) which transfers the power, provided from a power source, to a cooking section (20) positioned thereon. Said power transmission base (10) comprises a power cord (12) providing power to the coffee machine from a power source; a base connector (11) embodied in protrusion form and connected to said power cord (12) and providing electric current to the cooking section (20); and a turn on/turn off button (13) for operating the machine.
With reference to Figure ,' the cooking section (20) comprises a chamber (21) wherein cooking process is realized; a handle (22) extending outwardly from the side surface of said chamber (21); a chamber base (214) providing seating of the chamber (21) onto said power transmission base (10); an outlet (211) opened to the outer ambiance from the chamber (21); and a cover (26) placed on said outlet (211). In order to provide pouring of the cooked liquid to the coffee cup in a firm manner, a discharge outlet (212), embodied in a channel like form, is provided at the edge of the outlet (211).
With reference to Figure 4, there is a heater (215) provided on the side of the chamber base (214) facing into the chamber (21) in order to heat the liquid provided inside the chamber (21); and there is a temperature sensing sensor (213) positioned in a close manner to the outlet (211 ). There is a chamber connector (216) connected to the heater (215) and embodied in a recess form on the surface of the chamber base (214) facing the power transmission base (10). The base connector (11) is placed into said chamber connector (216).
There is a cooking button (221) positioned on the handle (22) and connected to the chamber connector (216). There is a lock (222) provided on the handle (22) and providing folding of the handle (22) in order for the handle (22) not to occupy space when it is not used. The lock
(222) is provided on the side of the handle (22) which is close to the chamber (21). When the lock (222) is viewed from outside, it has two members embodied in button form positioned mutually on the handle (22). As the lock (222) is released, the handle (22) can be folded so as to be parallel with respect to the chamber (21).
The temperature information received from said sensor (213) is transferred to the electronic control unit (25) provided on the chamber base (214) through a connection cord (not illustrated in the figures) placed into a cord housing (24) provided on the side wall of the chamber (21). At the same time, the connection cord is connected to the cooking button (221) positioned on the handje (22), and it transfers the command, received from the cooking button (221) for operating the coffee machine, to the electronic control unit (25).
In the alternative embodiment of the present invention, the electronic control unit (25) is positioned on the power transmission base (10) in a connected manner to the base connector (11). In another alternative embodiment of the present invention, the electronic control unit (25) is placed into the handle (22). The temperature information, received from the sensor (213), is transferred to the base connector (11) through the chamber connector (216) by means of the connection cord, and it is transferred to the electronic control unit (25) from there. In cases where the processor (25) is positioned inside the handle (22), the information received from the sensor (213) is directly transferred to the electronic control unit (25) by means of the connection cord. The processor (25) controls the operation principle of the coffee machine in the direction of the information transferred thereto by means of the algorithm loaded in the processor (25). During use, the liquid, which is desired to be cooked, is placed into the chamber (21), and the cooking section (20) is placed onto the power transmission base (10). Thus, the base connector (11) is placed irtto the chamber connector (216), and contacts each other. Meanwhile, the power cord (12) shall be fixed to the power source. By means of pressing the cooking button (221), electrical power flow from the base connector (11) to the chamber connector (216) is permitted. The heater (215), which is connected to the chamber connector (216), is heated by means of the electrical power received, and it provides heating of the liquid provided in the chamber (21). As the temperature of the liquid increases, the liquid is going to begin evaporating, and the vapor temperature is going to increase as the heating increases. As the vapor rises, the temperature of the vapor is sensed by the sensor (213), and this information is transferred to the electronic control unit (25) through the connection cord.
The sensor (213) makes measurement within predetermined time intervals. The temperature information of the vapor which is measured within certain intervals is assessed by the algorithm provided in the electronic control unit (25). The electronic control unit (25) determines whether the cooking process is completed or not, in the direction of the temperature information received from the sensor (213).
If the difference between two values which are measured sequentially is greater than the predetermined value, this means that the coffee has been cooked. As the cooking process is finished, the electronic control unit (25) stops the coffee machine (1), and gives out auditory and light signal in order to warn the user that the cooking process is completed. If the user desires to cook the coffee more, he/she presses the cooking button (221 ) again, and more cooking can be realized.
During cooking coffee which is more than the predetermined amount, in case the coffee foams, the foam contacts the sensor (213), and the sensor (213) transfers information to the electronic control unit (25), and the electronic control unit (25) stops electrical current applied to the coffee machine. Thus, the overflow of the coffee as a result of foaming of the coffee during cooking is prevented. In the preferred application, the temperature of the rising vapor is checked every 3 seconds. If the difference between the two measurements is 3 C degrees and above, the heater is stopped.
In the preferred application, the sensor (213) is positioned so as to be against the discharge outlet (212). Thus, the sensor (213) is not subject to hot liquid during the serving of the coffee. This provides the sensor (213) to have a longer lifetime.
The protection scope of the present invention is set forth in the annexed Claims and cannot be restricted to the illustrative disclosures given above, under the detailed description. It is because a person skilled in the relevant art can obviously produce similar embodiments under the light of the foregoing disclosures, without departing from the main principles of the present invention.
