단말장치(100)는 무료 공개 일정이 표시된 특정 회차의 컨텐츠를 구매 요청 및 결제 처리한 경우, 컨텐츠 서비스 서버(200)로부터 특정 회차의 컨텐츠를 다운로드한다. 이때, 다운로드된 컨텐츠는 무료로 제공되는 컨텐츠보다 고화질의 컨텐츠일 수 있다.
이러한 단말장치(100)는 통신망을 통해 컨텐츠 서비스 서버(200)와 통신이 가능한 장치로, 예를 들면, 네비게이션 장치, 노트북, 이동통신 단말, 스마트폰(Smart phone), PMP(Portable Media Player), PDA(Personal Digital Assistant), 타블렛 PC(Tablet PC), 셋탑박스(Set-top box), 스마트 TV 등 다양한 장치가 될 수 있다.

컨텐츠 서비스 서버(200)는 단말장치(100)로부터 시리즈 컨텐츠 등록이 요청된 경우, 해당 시리즈 컨텐츠를 등록한다.
컨텐츠 서비스 서버(200)는 단말장치로부터 제1 시리즈 컨텐츠가 요청된 경우, 제1 시리즈 컨텐츠에 대한 회차별 타이틀 영상, 각 타이틀 영상에 무료 공개 일정을 표시하여 단말장치(100)로 전송한다. 이때, 컨텐츠 서비스 서버(200)는 시리즈의 앞 회차부터 차례로 무료로 공개하되, 무료 회차 다음 회차는 기 설정된 일정 기간이 무료 공개 일정으로 표시되고, 그 다음 회차부터는 이전 회차의 무료 공개 일정에 기 설정된 일정 날짜를 더하여 무료 공개 일정이 표시될 수 있다. 무료 공개 일정은 컨텐츠마다 다르게 설정할 수 있다. 예컨대, A 컨텐츠의 무료 공개 일정은 7일 주기, B컨텐츠의 무료 공개 일정은 10일 주기, C컨텐츠의 무료 공개 일정은 14일 주기 등의 형태로 다양하게 설정할 수 있다.
예를 들어, 10회가 시리즈로 등록된 'A 컨텐츠' 관련하여 1회는 무료이고, 2회부터 10회는 유료라고 가정하여 설명하기로 한다. 컨텐츠 서비스 서버(200)는 1회 타이틀 영상에는 '1회'를 표시하여 무료임을 알 수 있도록 하고, 2회 타이틀 영상에는 '2회 D-7(무료 공개 일정임)'을 표시하여 2회는 7일 뒤에 무료로 공개됨을 알 수 있도록 한다. 3회 타이틀 영상에는 '3회 D-14'를 표시하여 3회는 2회 무료 공개 후 7일 뒤에 무료로 공개됨을 알 수 있도록 한다. 3회 이후의 회차부터는 이전 회차의 무료 공개 일정에 7을 더하여 해당 회차의 무료 공개 일정을 표시한다.
이러한 컨텐츠 서비스 서버(200)에 대한 상세한 설명은 도 3을 참조하기로 한다.

통신부(110)는 단말장치(100)와 컨텐츠 서비스 서버를 통신망을 통해 상호 연결시키는 통신 수단으로서, 예를 들어 이동통신, 위성통신 등의 무선 통신모듈, 인터넷 등의 유선 통신모듈, 와이파이 등의 근거리 무선 통신모듈 등을 포함할 수 있다.
입력부(120)는 단말장치(100)의 동작 제어를 위한 사용자 요청을 입력받기 위한 수단으로서, 사용자의 조작에 따라서 사용자의 요청을 전기 신호로 변환한다. 입력부(120)는 사용자로부터 문자, 숫자, 텍스트, 음성, 움직임, 촉각, 시각 등을 입력받는 입력 수단으로 예컨대, 입력 수단은 키보드, 키패드, 터치 스크린, 시각 감지 수단, 촉각 감지 수단, 움직임 감지 수단, 음성 입력 수단 등 다양한 형태로 구현될 수 있다.
출력부(130)는 애플리케이션 구동에 따른 화면 정보를 디스플레이하는 디스플레이 수단, 예를 들어 LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) 또는 OLED(Organic Light Emitting Diodes) 등 소형 평판 디스플레이장치로 구현되는 것이 바람직할 수 있다.
출력부(130)는 컨텐츠 애플리케이션 구동 처리부(150)에서 처리된 화면을 표시한다.
저장부(140)는 단말장치(100)의 동작 제어 시 필요한 프로그램과, 그 프로그램 수행 중에 발생되는 데이터를 저장한다.
저장부(140)에는 컨텐츠 애플리케이션이 저장되어 있다. 컨텐츠 애플리케이션은 컨텐츠 서비스 서버에서 제공하는 컨텐츠에 대한 정보를 제공받고, 컨텐츠를 다운로드 할 수 있도록 하는 애플리케이션일 수 있다.
컨텐츠 애플리케이션 구동 처리부(150)는 저장부(140)에 저장된 컨텐츠 애플리케이션이 구동된 경우, 컨텐츠 서비스 서버에서 제공하는 컨텐츠 목록을 표시하고, 상기 표시된 컨텐츠 목록에서 제1 컨텐츠가 선택된 경우, 제1 컨텐츠에 대한 회차별 타이틀 영상, 각 타이틀 영상에 무료 공개 일정이 표시된 화면을 출력부(130)에 표시한다.
컨텐츠 애플리케이션 구동 처리부(150)는 컨텐츠 서비스 서버에 저장된 컨텐츠의 업데이트가 감지되거나, 컨텐츠 서비스 서버로부터 업데이트 요청 신호가 수신된 경우, 컨텐츠 애플리케이션을 업데이트한다.
컨텐츠 애플리케이션 구동 처리부(150)에 대해 도 3을 참조하면, 컨텐츠 애플리케이션 구동 처리부(150)는 컨텐츠 표시 처리모듈(152), 컨텐츠 구매 처리모듈(154), 컨텐츠 재생 표시모듈(156)을 포함한다.
컨텐츠 표시 처리모듈(152)은 컨텐츠 목록에서 제1 컨텐츠가 선택된 경우, 제1 컨텐츠에 대한 회차별 타이틀 영상, 각 타이틀 영상에 무료 공개 일정이 표시된 화면을 출력부(140)에 표시한다. 회차별 타이틀 영상은 제1컨텐츠를 구성하는 회차 리스트일 수 있다.
컨텐츠 구매 처리모듈(154)은 컨텐츠 표시 처리모듈(152)에 의해 표시된 화면에서 무료 공개 일정이 표시된 특정 회차의 컨텐츠를 구매 요청 및 결제 처리한 경우, 통신부(110)를 통해 컨텐츠 서비스 서버로부터 특정 회차의 컨텐츠를 다운로드 받는다. 이때, 다운로드된 컨텐츠는 무료로 제공되는 컨텐츠보다 고화질의 컨텐츠일 수 있다.
컨텐츠 재생 처리모듈(156)은 컨텐츠 구매 처리모듈(154)에서 다운로드된 컨텐츠를 출력부(130)상에 표시 또는 재생한다.
컨텐츠 애플리케이션 구동 처리부(150)가 무료 공개 일정이 표시된 타이틀 영상을 표시하고, 사용자가 특정 회차의 컨텐츠를 구매하는 방법에 대해 도 4를 참조하여 설명하기로 한다.
사용자가 '투자의 여왕'에 대한 시리즈 목록을 요청하면, 단말장치는 도 4의 (a)와 같이 '투자의 여왕' 시리즈 목록 제공 화면을 표시한다. (a)를 참조하면, 투자의 여왕 시리즈 목록 제공 화면에는 무료 또는 무료 공개 일정이 표시된 타이틀 영상이 표시되어 있다. 즉, 2회는 무료, 3회의 타이틀 영상에는 무료공개 일정이 (D-7)으로 표시되고, 4회의 타이틀 영상에는 무료 공개 일정이 (D-14)로 표시되어 있다. 사용자가 무료 공개 일정까지 기다리지 못하고, 3회차를 보기를 원하여 3회차를 선택하면, 단말장치는 (b)와 같은 구매 화면을 표시한다. 사용자는 구매화면을 통해 3회차 컨텐츠에 대한 결제 처리를 수행한다. 그러면, 단말장치는 (c)와 같이 3회차를 컨텐츠 서비스 서버로부터 다운로드 하여 표시한다. 이때 표시된 3회차는 고화질로, 무료 회차의 컨텐츠와는 해상도가 다를 수 있다.
제어부(160)는 통신부(110), 입력부(120), 출력부(130), 저장부(140), 컨텐츠 애플리케이션 구동 처리부(150) 등 단말장치(100) 각 부의 동작을 제어한다.
도 5는 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 컨텐츠 서비스 서버의 구성을 개략적으로 나타낸 블럭도이다.

컨텐츠 등록 처리부(220)는 컨텐츠 데이터베이스(210)에 신규 컨텐츠가 등록되거나, 기 저장된 시리즈 컨텐츠의 업데이트가 이루어진 경우, 컨텐츠 애플리케이션 업데이트 요청 신호를 컨텐츠 애플리케이션을 설치한 단말장치로 전송한다.
컨텐츠 목록 제공부(230)는 단말장치로부터 제1 시리즈 컨텐츠가 요청된 경우, 컨텐츠 데이터베이스(210)로부터 제1 시리즈 컨텐츠에 대한 회차별 타이틀 영상, 각 타이틀 영상에 무료 공개 일정을 획득하여 단말장치로 전송한다.
컨텐츠 제공부(240)는 단말장치로부터 특정 회차의 컨텐츠 구매가 요청된 경우, 결제 처리를 수행하고, 특정 회차의 컨텐츠를 단말장치로 전송한다. 결제를 처리하는 방법은 기존의 다양한 방법을 이용하므로, 이에 대한 상세한 설명은 생략하기로 한다.
제어부(250)는 컨텐츠 데이터베이스(210), 컨텐츠 등록 처리부(220), 컨텐츠 목록 제공부(230), 컨텐츠 제공부(240) 등 각 부의 동작을 제어한다.

Claims (13)

  1. 시리즈 컨텐츠를 등록 요청하는 제1단말장치;
    상기 제1단말장치의 등록 요청에 따라 시리즈 컨텐츠를 등록하고, 제2단말장치로부터 제1 시리즈 컨텐츠가 요청된 경우, 제1 시리즈 컨텐츠에 대한 회차별 타이틀 영상, 각 타이틀 영상에 무료 공개 일정을 표시하여 제2 단말장치에 제공하는 컨텐츠 서비스 서버; 및
    상기 컨텐츠 서비스 서버에 제1 시리즈 컨텐츠를 요청하고, 그 결과로 회차별 무료 공개 일정이 표시된 타이틀 영상을 수신 및 표시하는 제2 단말장치;
    를 포함하는 컨텐츠 서비스 시스템.
  2. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 제2 단말장치는 상기 무료 공개 일정이 표시된 특정 회차의 컨텐츠를 구매 요청 및 결제 처리한 경우, 상기 컨텐츠 서비스 서버로부터 특정 회차의 컨텐츠를 제공받는 것을 특징으로 하는 컨텐츠 서비스 시스템.
  3. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 컨텐츠 서비스 서버는 등록 요청된 시리즈 컨텐츠에서 각 회차를 대표하는 영상을 선정하여 타이틀 영상으로 설정하고, 상기 설정된 각 타이틀 영상에 무료 공개 일정을 설정하되,
    시리즈의 앞 회차부터 차례로 무료로 공개하고, 무료 회차 다음 회차는 기 설정된 일정 기간 후를 무료 공개 일정으로 설정하며, 그 다음 회차부터는 이전 회차의 무료 공개 일정에 기 설정된 일정 날짜를 더하여 무료 공개 일정으로 설정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 컨텐츠 서비스 시스템.
  4. 통신망을 통해 컨텐츠 서비스 서버와의 통신을 수행하는 통신부;

    상기 컨텐츠 애플리케이션이 구동된 경우, 컨텐츠 서비스 서버에서 제공하는 컨텐츠 목록을 표시하고, 상기 표시된 컨텐츠 목록에서 제1 컨텐츠가 선택된 경우, 제1 컨텐츠에 대한 회차별 타이틀 영상, 각 타이틀 영상에 무료 공개 일정이 표시된 화면을 상기 출력부에 표시하는 컨텐츠 애플리케이션 구동 처리부;
    를 포함하는 단말장치.
  5. 제4항에 있어서,
    상기 컨텐츠 애플리케이션 구동 처리부는,
    상기 컨텐츠 목록에서 제1 컨텐츠가 선택된 경우, 제1 컨텐츠에 대한 회차별 타이틀 영상, 각 타이틀 영상에 무료 공개 일정이 표시된 화면을 상기 출력부에 표시하는 컨텐츠 표시 처리모듈;
    상기 표시된 화면에서 무료 공개 일정이 표시된 특정 회차의 컨텐츠를 구매 요청 및 결제 처리한 경우, 상기 통신부를 통해 상기 컨텐츠 서비스 서버로부터 특정 회차의 컨텐츠를 다운로드 받는 컨텐츠 구매 처리모듈; 및
    상기 다운로드된 컨텐츠를 재생하는 컨텐츠 재생 처리모듈을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 단말장치.
  6. 제4항에 있어서,
    상기 컨텐츠 애플리케이션 구동 처리부는 상기 컨텐츠 서비스 서버에 저장된 컨텐츠의 업데이트가 감지되거나, 상기 컨텐츠 서비스 서버로부터 업데이트 요청 신호가 수신된 경우, 상기 컨텐츠 애플리케이션을 업데이트하는 것을 특징으로 하는 단말장치.
  7. 컨텐츠에 대한 정보가 저장된 컨텐츠 데이터베이스;
    컨텐츠 등록이 요청된 경우, 해당 컨텐츠가 시리즈인지를 판단하고, 시리즈인 경우, 그 시리즈 컨텐츠에 대한 회차별 타이틀 영상, 각 타이틀 영상에 무료 공개 일정을 설정하여 상기 컨텐츠 데이터베이스에 저장하는 컨텐츠 등록 처리부; 및
    단말장치로부터 제1 시리즈 컨텐츠가 요청된 경우, 상기 컨텐츠 데이터베이스로부터 제1 시리즈 컨텐츠 관련하여 회차별 무료 공개 일정이 표시된 타이틀 영상을 획득하여 상기 단말장치로 전송하는 컨텐츠 목록 제공부;
    를 포함하는 컨텐츠 서비스 서버.
  8. 제7항에 있어서,
    상기 컨텐츠 등록 처리부는 시간을 카운트하여 상기 컨텐츠 데이터베이스에 저장된 시리즈 컨텐츠들 중에서 무료 공개 일정이 도달한 시리즈 컨텐츠의 회차를 무료 공개로 업데이트하고, 그 다음 회차부터는 무료 공개 일정을 업데이트하는 것을 특징으로 하는 컨텐츠 서비스 서버.
  9. 제7항에 있어서,
    상기 단말장치로부터 특정 회차의 컨텐츠 구매가 요청된 경우, 결제 처리를 수행하고, 특정 회차의 컨텐츠를 상기 단말장치로 전송하는 컨텐츠 제공부를 더 포함하는 컨텐츠 서비스 서버.
  10. 단말장치가 컨텐츠 서비스를 위한 방법에 있어서,
    컨텐츠 애플리케이션이 실행된 경우, 컨텐츠 서비스 서버에서 제공하는 컨텐츠 목록을 표시하는 단계;
    상기 컨텐츠 목록에서 제1 시리즈 컨텐츠가 선택된 경우, 제1 시리즈 컨텐츠 관련하여 무료 공개 일정이 표시된 회차별 타이틀 영상을 화면상에 표시하는 단계; 및
    무료 공개 일정이 표시된 특정 회차의 컨텐츠를 구매 요청 및 결제 처리한 경우, 상기 특정 회차의 컨텐츠를 컨텐츠 서비스 서버로부터 제공받는 단계;
    를 포함하는 컨텐츠 서비스 방법.
  11. 컨텐츠 서비스 서버가 컨텐츠 서비스를 위한 방법에 있어서,
    단말장치로부터 제1 시리즈 컨텐츠가 요청된 경우, 컨텐츠 데이터베이스로부터 제1 시리즈 컨텐츠 관련하여 회차별 무료 공개 일정이 표시된 타이틀 영상을 획득하여 상기 단말장치로 전송하는 단계; 및
    상기 단말장치로부터 특정 회차의 컨텐츠 구매가 요청된 경우, 결제 처리를 수행하고, 특정 회차의 컨텐츠를 상기 단말장치로 전송하는 단계;
    를 포함하는 컨텐츠 서비스 방법.
  12. 제11항에 있어서,
    컨텐츠 등록이 요청된 경우, 해당 컨텐츠가 시리즈인지를 판단하고, 시리즈인 경우, 그 시리즈 컨텐츠에 대한 회차별 타이틀 영상, 각 타이틀 영상에 무료 공개 일정을 설정하여 상기 컨텐츠 데이터베이스에 저장하는 단계를 더 포함하는 컨텐츠 서비스 방법.
  13. 제11항에 있어서,
    시간을 카운트하여 상기 컨텐츠 데이터베이스에 저장된 시리즈 컨텐츠들 중에서 무료 공개 일정이 도달한 시리즈 컨텐츠의 회차를 무료 공개로 업데이트하고, 그 다음 회차부터는 무료 공개 일정을 업데이트하는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 컨텐츠 서비스 방법.
