伝送ケーブル
 本発明は、伝送ケーブルに関する。
 近年、電気自動車等が備える二次電池の充電などにおいては、プラグ接続等の物理的接続を必要としないワイヤレス(非接触)での電力伝送技術が用いられている。この技術としては、例えば、送信側コイルと受信側コイルとの磁気的な結合を利用して電力の授受を行う手法が知られている。個々のコイルは筐体内に収容されてコイルユニットとして構成されており、当該コイルユニットは伝送ケーブルが接続されて、高周波電源やバッテリ等と接続される。
 電流等を流すために用いる電線については、周波数が高くなるにつれて電線の導体を通る電流が導体の表面に近い領域に偏って流れるようになる。この現象は表皮効果と呼ばれている。そのため、電線に高周波電流を流す場合には、周波数が低い場合と比べて電流が流れにくくなる。つまり、高周波領域では、導線内の電流密度分布の偏りによって実質的に電気抵抗が増大するため、電力損失や発熱が増大する。
 リッツ線は、高周波電流を流す伝送ケーブルに適した構造を有している。リッツ線は、それぞれの表面が絶縁層で覆われた細い導線(例えばエナメル線のようなマグネットワイヤ)が多数集合されることにより構成された電線である。各々の導線は、素線と呼ばれる。互いに隣接する素線同士が絶縁されているので、リッツ線を構成する導体全体の表面積は断面積が同じ一般的な導線と比べると非常に大きくなる。したがって、リッツ線を流れる高周波電流が各素線の表面近傍に偏って流れる場合でも、比較的小さい抵抗で電流を流すことができる。つまり、高周波領域でも電力損失や発熱の増大を抑制できる。
 ここで、特許文献1には、リッツ線を束ね合わせた内側芯線の外周に層間絶縁層が設けられ、その外周にリッツ線を螺旋状に巻き付けて外側芯線が配置された自動車充電用ケーブルが開示されている。この自動車充電用ケーブルには、冷媒を循環させる冷媒管が、外側芯線を構成するリッツ線と共に並行に螺旋状に配置されている。そして、この自動車充電用ケーブルは、外部の高周波電源と充電カプラの間に備え付けられる。電気自動車の充電中には、冷媒管中を冷却水が循環しているので、コイルやコア等が発熱しても速やかに冷却することができる。
 また、特許文献2には、金属製のシールドパイプと、シールドパイプに挿通される導体と、導体を液密状に貫通させた状態でシールドパイプの両端部が液密状に封止される一対の封止手段とを有するシールド導電体が開示されている。このシールド導電体において、一方の封止手段には、シールドパイプ内への冷却水の流入を可能とする流入口が設けられ、他方の封止手段には、シールドパイプ内の冷却水の流出を可能とする流出口が設けられている。

 ところで、このようなコイルユニットでは、コイルが熱を発生するものであることから放熱構造が採られているものの、更なる放熱対策が望まれている。
 本発明はかかる事情に鑑みてなされたものであり、その目的は、コイルユニットの放熱を効果的に実現することができる伝送ケーブルを提供することである。
 本発明の上記目的は、下記構成により達成される。
(1) 非接触で電力を授受するコイルユニットに接続される伝送ケーブルであって、それぞれが複数の素線を集合することにより形成された複数本のリッツ線と、前記伝送ケーブルの長さに対応して前記リッツ線の長手方向に延在し、前記複数本のリッツ線とともに束ねられるチューブと、を有し、前記複数本のリッツ線が、前記チューブを中心として当該チューブを囲むように束ねられている伝送ケーブル。
(2) 上記(1)の構成の伝送ケーブルであって、前記コイルユニットに前記伝送ケーブルが接続された状態において、前記チューブの一方の端部が、前記コイルユニット内において開放される伝送ケーブル。
 本発明によれば、伝送ケーブル内のチューブを通じて熱を逃がすことができるので、伝送ケーブルが接続されることでコイルユニットの放熱を効果的に実現することができる。
図1は、本発明の一実施形態に係る非接触電力伝送装置の構成を示す説明図である。 図2は、本発明の一実施形態に係る伝送ケーブルの構成を模式的に示す斜視図である。 図3は、図2に示した伝送ケーブルを模式的に示す横断面図である。
 図1に示すように、本発明の一実施形態に係る非接触電力伝送装置1は、給電装置10と受電装置20とで構成されている。そして、非接触電力伝送装置1は、給電装置10から電力を供給し、受電装置20が非接触で電力を受け取るものである。本実施形態に係る非接触電力伝送装置1は、図1に示すように、電気自動車5における電源としての電池(二次電池)6を充電するためのシステムに適用されており、給電装置10が地上側のインフラとして構成され、受電装置20が電気自動車5に搭載されている。
 給電装置10は、電気自動車5の電池6を充電するための駐車場などに設置されており、受電装置20に対して電力を供給する。この給電装置10は、高周波電源11と、送信コイルユニット12とを主体に構成されている。
 高周波電源11は、電源筐体の内部に発振源(例えばインバータなど)を備えており、商用電源から送電される交流電力を所定の高周波の交流電力に変換する。高周波電源11は、伝送ケーブル13を介して送信コイルユニット12に接続されており、変換した高周波の交流電力を送信コイルユニット12に送信する。
 送信コイルユニット12は、高周波電源11から送電された高周波の交流電力を、受電装置20側の受信コイルユニット21に送信するものである。送信コイルユニット12は、送信コイル(図示せず)と、当該送信コイルを収容する筐体とで構成されており、駐車場に相当する所定の路面上に配設されている。
 一方、受電装置20は、給電装置10からの電力を受け取り、この受け取った電力を電池6に出力する。受電装置20は、受信コイルユニット21と、整流器22とを主体に構成されている。
 受信コイルユニット21は、給電装置10側の送信コイルユニット12から送信された交流電力を受信するものである。受信コイルユニット21は、受信コイル(図示せず)と、受信コイルを収容する筐体とで構成されており、電気自動車5の底面に配設されている。受信コイルユニット21は、電気自動車5が駐車場の規定スペースに駐車された場合、送信コイルユニット12の上方に対峙するように配置されている。
 整流器22は、整流回路(例えばブリッジ回路)を備えており、受信コイルユニット21によって受信された交流電力を直流電力へと整流する。整流器22は、伝送ケーブル23を介して電池6に接続されており、整流された直流電力は電池6で充電される。この電池6には当該電池6から出力される直流電力を交流電力に変換するインバータ(図示せず)が接続されており、このインバータから出力される交流電力により車両用駆動モータ(図示せず)が駆動される。
 このような構成の非接触電力伝送装置1において、電気自動車5の受電装置20が駐車場に設けられた給電装置10に近づき、送信コイルユニット12と受信コイルユニット21とが互いに対向すると、送信コイルユニット12内の送信コイルと受信コイルユニット21内の受信コイルとが電磁共鳴して給電装置10から受電装置20に非接触で電力が供給される。
 図2は、本実施形態に係る伝送ケーブル13の構成を模式的に示す斜視図であり、図3は、本実施形態に係る伝送ケーブル13を模式的に示す説明図である。
 以下、本実施形態の特徴の一つである伝送ケーブル13について説明する。この伝送ケーブル13は、リッツ線30と、チューブ31と、介在部材32と、押さえ巻きテープ33と、一次シース34と、シールド35と、二次シース36とから構成されている。
 リッツ線30は、複数の素線が集合した導体30aと、その周囲を覆う被覆部30bとで構成されている。導体30aを構成する個々の素線は、例えばエナメル線のようなマグネットワイヤである。素線は、細長い線状の導体とその表面を覆う絶縁皮膜とで構成されている。したがって、互いに隣接する素線同士はそれらの外周面で電気的に接触することはなく、電気絶縁されている。もっとも、リッツ線30の両端部では、全ての素線が互いに電気的に接続された状態で使用される。被覆部30bは、例えばポリ塩化ビニル系樹脂などポリオレフィン系樹脂によって構成されている。
 伝送ケーブル13には、リッツ線30が複数本(例えば4本)用いられており、これらのリッツ線30は、後述するチューブ31を中心として当該チューブ31を囲むように束ねられている。
 チューブ31は、伝送ケーブル13の長さに対応してリッツ線30の長手方向に延在する中空の筒状部材である。このチューブ31は、上述したように複数のリッツ線30とともに束ねられ、それらの中心に位置付けられている。伝送ケーブル13が送信コイルユニット12に接続された状態において、チューブ31の一方の端部は、送信コイルユニット12内において開放され、チューブ31の他方の端部は、高周波電源11の電源筐体内部において開放されている。
 介在部材32は、複数本のリッツ線30を束ねることにより形成される線心間の隙間に充填されるものである。具体的に、本実施の形態における介在部材32は、チューブ31の周囲に配置される4本のリッツ線30の隙間に充填され、リッツ線30の型くずれを防止したり、電線径を一定の形状としたりする役割を有している。介在部材32は、例えばポリプロピレン材料等によって構成されている。
 押さえ巻きテープ33は、介在部材32が充填された複数本のリッツ線30の外周側から巻き付けられるものであって、不織布やプラスチックフィルムなどにより構成されている。この押さえ巻きテープ33により、複数本のリッツ線30、チューブ31及び介在部材32は、一体的に強化されかつ整形される。
 一次シース34は、押さえ巻きテープ33の周囲を覆うように設けられており、例えばポリ塩化ビニル系樹脂などポリオレフィン系樹脂によって構成されている。
 シールド35は、一次シース40の周囲を覆うように設けられている。シールド35としては、公知の編組や金属箔単体、或いは金属箔を含むシールド部材を採用することができる。
 二次シース36は、シールド35の周囲を覆うように設けられており、例えばポリ塩化ビニル系樹脂などポリオレフィン系樹脂によって構成されている。
 このように本実施形態によれば、伝送ケーブル13は、当該伝送ケーブル13の長さに対応してリッツ線30の長手方向に延在するチューブ31を有している。このため、チューブ31の中空部を通じて通気を行うことができるので、送信コイルユニット12内の熱をチューブ31を通じて外部に逃がすことができる。また、このチューブ31には、複数本のリッツ線30がチューブ31を囲むように束ねられているため、リッツ線30に生じる熱についても放熱することができるとともに、各リッツ線30についてまんべんなく放熱を行うことができる。これにより、伝送ケーブル13内の熱及び送信コイルユニット12内の熱について効果的に放熱を行うことができる。
 また、本実施形態においては、送信コイルユニット12に伝送ケーブル13が接続された状態において、チューブ31の一方の端部が送信コイルユニット12内において開放されている。かかる構成によれば、送信コイルユニット12内の熱がチューブ31内に進入することで、送信コイルユニット12内の熱について効果的に放熱を行うことができる。
 以上、本実施形態にかかる伝送ケーブル及びこれが適用された非接触電力伝送装置について説明したが、本発明はこの実施形態に限定されることなく、その発明の範囲において種々の変更が可能である。
 また、本実施形態では、送信コイルユニット12に接続される伝送ケーブル13について説明したが、受信コイルユニット21に接続される伝送ケーブルについても同様の構成とすることができる。
 また、本出願は、2013年12月2日出願の日本特許出願(特願2013-248991)に基づくものであり、その内容はここに参照として取り込まれる。
 ここで、上述した本発明に係る伝送ケーブルの実施形態の特徴をそれぞれ以下[1]~[2]に簡潔に纏めて列記する。
 [1] 非接触で電力を授受するコイルユニット(送信コイルユニット12)に接続される伝送ケーブル(13)であって、それぞれが複数の素線を集合することにより形成された複数本のリッツ線(30)と、前記伝送ケーブル(13)の長さに対応して前記リッツ線(30)の長手方向に延在し、前記複数本のリッツ線(30)とともに束ねられるチューブ(31)と、を有し、前記複数本のリッツ線(30)が、前記チューブ(31)を中心として当該チューブ(31)を囲むように束ねられている伝送ケーブル(13)。
 [2] 上記[1]の構成の伝送ケーブル(13)であって、前記コイルユニット(送信コイルユニット12)に前記伝送ケーブル(13)が接続された状態において、前記チューブ(31)の一方の端部が、前記コイルユニット(送信コイルユニット12)内において開放される伝送ケーブル(13)。
 本発明の伝送ケーブルは、非接触で電力を授受するコイルユニットの放熱を効果的に実現することができる伝送ケーブルに有用である。

Claims (2)

  1.  非接触で電力を授受するコイルユニットに接続される伝送ケーブルであって、
     それぞれが複数の素線を集合することにより形成された複数本のリッツ線と、
     前記伝送ケーブルの長さに対応して前記リッツ線の長手方向に延在し、前記複数本のリッツ線とともに束ねられるチューブと、を有し、
     前記複数本のリッツ線が、前記チューブを中心として当該チューブを囲むように束ねられている伝送ケーブル。
  2.  前記コイルユニットに前記伝送ケーブルが接続された状態において、
     前記チューブの一方の端部が、前記コイルユニット内において開放される請求項1に記載された伝送ケーブル。
