Abstract
Una matriz absorbente para ser utilizada en un artículo absorbente desechable con una parte superior de cara al cuerpo y una parte inferior de cara a la prenda, tal que comprende una red polimérica (1) conformada por una pluralidad de hilos longitudinales (2) y una pluralidad de hilos transversales (3) que forman entre ellos, huecos libres (5) que son cubiertos por partículas de material superabsorbente (6) formando zonas de absorción y retención de fluidos, tal que los hilos longitudinales (2) son de un diámetro mayor que los hilos transversales (3), formando canales longitudinales de distribución de fluido (4) por la parte inferior de la matriz, por debajo de los hilos transversales (3).
Description
MEJORAS A MATRIZ ABSORBENTE SIN CELULOSA
CAMPO DE LA INVENCIÓN
Las modalidades ilustradas de la presente invención se relacionan en general con la matriz absorbente utilizada en los artículos absorbentes desechables tales como pañales y calzones para bebés, pañales y calzones para adultos, toallas femeninas, etc, la cual sirve como medio de retención de fluidos. Específicamente se describe una matriz absorbente delgada constituida básicamente por partículas de material superabsorbente y una red polimérica formada por hileras longitudinales y transversales que definen canales de distribución de fluidos. ANTECEDENTES DE LA INVENCIÓN
Actualmente son utilizadas las matrices absorbentes en artículos desechables, tales como pañales para bebés, pañales desechables para incontinentes, calzones de entrenamiento desechables, toallas femeninas y panty protectores, los cuales están constituidos básicamente por una capa superior que permite el paso del fluido, una capa inferior impermeable a los líquidos y una matriz absorbente entre ambas. La matriz absorbente es la encargada de absorber y retener los exudados líquidos y semilíquidos del cuerpo humano que penetran a través de la capa superior del artículo. La matriz, además debe ser cómoda y amoldarse al cuerpo del usuario.
Existen actualmente varias propuestas de matrices absorbentes delgadas, que contienen muy poca concentración de fibras de material absorbente o incluso que no contienen fibras de material absorbente, están constituidas básicamente por partículas de material superabsorbente. Por ejemplo la patente mexicana MX 249, 142 protege una matriz absorbente constituida únicamente por material superabsorbente colocado dentro de una capa envolvente de tela no tejida y unido a ésta por medio de adhesivo; por otro lado, la patente norteamericana US 541 1497A describe una matriz absorbente constituida por una primera capa de soporte, una segunda capa de soporte y un medio de unión que las asegura intermitentemente, de modo que la matriz tiene zonas unidas y zonas no
unidas; las zonas no unidas forman pequeñas bolsas donde se colocan partículas de material superabsorbente; la patente US5482761A protege una estructura absorbente con una capa superior, una capa inferior y una capa intermedia; las capas superior e inferior comprenden un material fibroso (tela no tejida), mientras que la intermedia comprende partículas de material superabsorbente; la estructura tiene además un material termoplástico que une las capas superior e inferior formando puntos de unión espaciados que ayudan a que las partículas de material superabsorbente no se muevan; la patente US6790798 describe una matriz absorbente compuesta por una tela no tejida con una estructura altamente fibrosa y partículas de material superabsorbente contenidas dentro y sobre esta estructura fibrosa, un adhesivo de aplicación en caliente cubre a las partículas de material superabsorbente para mantenerlas en su lugar; por último, la patente estadounidense US 8466336, divulga una matriz absorbente sin fibras de celulosa, formada por una capa de sustrato (tela no tejida), una capa de partículas de material superabsorbente y una capa de material termoplástico, generalmente adhesivo, tal que porciones del sustrato están en contacto directo con las partículas de material superabsorbente; porciones de la capa de material termoplástico están en contacto directo con el sustrato en las zonas de éste que no están en contacto con el material superabsorbente y las porciones del material termoplástico que no están en contacto con el sustrato, están en contacto directo con el material superabsorbente, formando así zonas de contención del material superabsorbente para inmovilizarlo dentro de la matriz absorbente.
Ninguno de los documentos citados describe una matriz absorbente que comprende una red polimérica conformada por hilos longitudinales y transversales que definen huecos para contener las partículas de material superabsorbente, y canales de flujo que distribuyen el fluido que llega a la matriz, de modo que la capacidad de absorción y retención de la misma se aproveche al máximo. Existe, pues la necesidad de una matriz delgada que permita guiar y distribuir el fluido.
OBJETIVOS
El principal objetivo de la presente invención es: proporcionar una matriz absorbente delgada, cómoda para el usuario, con alta capacidad de absorción y distribución de fluidos. Otro objetivo del invento es que la matriz absorbente —comprenda una red conformada mediante una pluralidad de hilos longitudinales y una pluralidad de hilos transversales.
Un objetivo adicional de la presente invención es que dicha matriz absorbente, presente una primera y segunda capa de soporTE. Otro objetivo del invento es que la red forme canales de distribución del fluido.
Aún otro objetivo de la presente invención es que la red defina huecos libres de hilos que contienen al material superabsorbente.
BREVE DESCRIPCIÓN DE LOS DIBUJOS O FIGURAS
Los aspectos anteriores y muchas de las ventajas concomitantes a esta invención se comprenderán mejor cuando se consulte la siguiente descripción detallada y se considere conjuntamente con los dibujos acompañantes, en los cuales:
La Figura 1 es una vista en perspectiva de la red que conforma la matriz absorbente.
La Figura 2 muestra una vista frontal y posterior de la red que conforma la matriz absorbente.
La Figura 3 es una vista en perspectiva de la red que conforma la matriz absorbente, en donde los huecos libres son cubiertos con partículas de material superabsorbente.
La Figura 4 muestra una vista en perspectiva de la red que conforma la matriz absorbente en una modalidad de hilos longitudinales rectos e hilos transversales curvos.
La Figura 5 es una vista frontal y posterior de la red que conforma la matriz absorbente en la modalidad de hilos longitudinales rectos e hilos transversales curvos. La Figura 6 muestra una vista en perspectiva de la red que conforma la matriz absorbente en la modalidad de hilos longitudinales rectos e hilos transversales curvos, donde los huecos libres son cubiertos con partículas de material superabsorbente.

DESCRIPCIÓN DETALLADA DE LA INVENCIÓN
La presente invención está relacionada con la mejora a una matriz absorbente sin celulosa, la cual está conformada básicamente por una red polimérica (1 ) y partículas de material superabsorbente (6). La figura 1 muestra, una vista en perspectiva de la red polimérica (1), que define el cuerpo principal de la matriz absorbente del invento. Dicha red (1), es fabricada de material hidrófobo y cumple con dos funciones:
• Sostener y mantener en su lugar el material superabsorbente.
• Ayudar a la distribución del fluido. La red (1) de la matriz absorbente, presenta una forma sustancialmente rectangular (pudiendo ser de cualquier forma), la cual está conformada por una pluralidad de hilos longitudinales (2) y una pluralidad de hilos transversales (3); en donde los hilos longitudinales (2), presentan un diámetro mayor que los hilos transversales (3) de manera que se forman canales de distribución longitudinales (4), que permiten el paso de fluidos por debajo de los hilos transversales (3).
Con respecto a la figura 1 , también podemos apreciar que de la unión de hilos longitudinales (2) e hilos transversales (3), son formados huecos libres (5) de forma sustancialmente cuadrada (pudiendo ser de cualquier forma) con una separación entre hilos longitudinales (2), de al menos 5 mm y una separación entre hilos transversales (3) de al menos 5 mm.
La figura 2 muestra, una vista frontal y posterior de la red (1 ) que forma la matriz absorbente; en dicha figura 2, podemos apreciar el mayor diámetro de los hilos longitudinales (2) con respecto a los hilos transversales (3); ésta configuración, permite la formación de canales (4) que permiten el paso de fluidos por debajo de los hilos transversales (3).
La figura 3 muestra, una vista en perspectiva de la red (1) que conforma la matriz absorbente; en dicha figura (3), podemos apreciar como los huecos libres (5) formados mediante la unión de los hilos longitudinales (2) e hilos transversales (3), son cubiertos por partículas de material superabsorbente (6), formando zonas de absorción y retención de fluido (ZAR) (10), así, cuando el fluido es depositado sobre la parte superior de la matriz; la red polimérica (1) guía al fluido hacia la ZAR más cercana para que sea absorbido y retenido por las partículas de material superabsorbente. Una vez que las partículas de material superabsorbente de una ZAR en particular se saturan, el fluido, en lugar de desbordarse, pasa por los canales longitudinales (4) hacia la siguiente ZAR y así en forma subsecuente, de modo que se aprovecha al máximo la capacidad de absorción y retención de la matriz.
Con respecto al material superabsorbente, generalmente se utilizan partículas o fibras de poliacrilato de sodio o de potasio, sin embargo, pueden utilizarse también absorbentes naturales en gránulo tales como goma guar, almidones, etc, o mezclas de superabsorbentes sintéticos y superabsorbentes naturales. Este tipo de partículas o fibras superabsorbentes, tienen una capacidad de absorción libre, de hasta 80 g de orina sintética (solución de cloruro de sodio en agua al 0.9%)/gr de material superabsorbente y
una capacidad de absorción bajo presión de hasta 60 g de orina sintética/gr de material supera bsorbente.
La figura 4 muestra, una vista en perspectiva de la red polimérica (1) en una modalidad del presente invento, conformada por hilos longitudinales rectos (7) e hilos transversales (11 ) que tienen una zona curva (8) por la parte superior de los hilos longitudinales, y una zona recta (12), que forma la unión entre hilos longitudinales. En esta modalidad de la red (1 ), los hilos longitudinales (7) tienen un diámetro mayor que los hilos transversales (1 1), tal que se forman canales superiores de distribución (9) y canales inferiores de distribución (4). La figura 5 muestra un corte transversal de la red de la figura 4, en esta figura se pueden ver claramente los canales superiores (9) e inferiores (4) de distribución.
La figura 6 muestra, una vista en perspectiva de la red (1) de la modalidad mostrada en la figura 4, se puede apreciar como los huecos libres (5) formados mediante la unión de los hilos longitudinales (7) con los hilos transversales (1 1), son cubiertos por partículas de un material superabsorbente (6), formando las zonas de absorción y retención (10) tal como en la modalidad anterior.
En otra modalidad del invento mostrada en la figura 7, los hilos transversales (13) están colocados sobre los hilos longitudinales (12), tal que se forman canales inferiores de distribución (4) tal como en la modalidad mostrada en la figura 1 , sin embargo en esta modalidad los hilos transversales pueden ser del mismo o de diferente diámetro.
La matriz absorbente (1) del invento puede estar acompañada de una o varias capas de recepción y transferencia de fluidos colocadas por la parte superior de la misma, así como de una capa de soporte colocada por la parte inferior de la matriz. Estas capas de recepción, transferencia y soporte, pueden ser de tela no tejida con un peso base mínimo de 9 g/m2 y fabricadas de fibra de polipropileno, poliéster, rayón, algodón, PLA, PHA, fibras bicomponentes o mezclas de las anteriores; las características de la tela
no tejida a utilizarse se determinarán de acuerdo al uso que se le dará a la misma, por ejemplo, de preferencia la capa de soporte es hidrófoba, mientras que la o las capas de recepción y transferencia son hidrófilas para permitir el paso de líquidos. En lugar de utilizar capas de recepción, transferencia y soporte, se puede utilizar una sola capa envolvente que se sobrepone por la parte superior de la red (1), la cual puede tener una o varias zonas hidrófobas que quedarán colocadas e las orillas longitudinales de la matriz y en la parte inferior de la misma, ) y una o varias zonas hidrófilas que quedaran colocadas por la parte superior de la matriz absorbente; además de esta capa envolvente, pueden utilizarse otras capas de recepción y/o transferencia sobre la parte superior de la misma. Si bien la invención ha sido descrita en función de sus modalidades preferidas, los alcances de la misma comprenden cualquier tipo de cambio o modificación a la misma que pueda ser evidente para un técnico en la materia.
Claims
1 .- Una matriz absorbente para ser utilizada en un artículo absorbente desechable con una parte superior de cara al cuerpo y una parte inferior de cara a la prenda, caracterizada porque comprende una red polimérica (1 ) conformada por uña pluralidad de hilos longitudinales (2) y una pluralidad de hilos transversales (3) que forman entre ellos, huecos libres (5) que son cubiertos por partículas de material superabsorbente (6) formando zonas de absorción y retención de fluidos, tal que los hilos longitudinales (2) son de un diámetro mayor que los hilos transversales (3), formando canales longitudinales de distribución de fluido (4) por la parte inferior de la matriz, por debajo de los hilos transversales (3).
2 - Una matriz absorbente para ser utilizada en un artículo absorbente desechable con una parte superior y una parte inferior, caracterizada porque comprende una red polimérica (1) conformada por una pluralidad de hilos longitudinales (7) rectos y una pluralidad de hilos transversales (8), con una zona curva (10) por encima de los hilos longitudinales, y una zona recta (1 1) que entre los hilos longitudinales, tal que forman entre ellos, huecos libres (5) que son cubiertos por partículas de material superabsorbente (6) formando zonas de absorción y retención de fluidos, tal que los hilos longitudinales rectos tienen un diámetro mayor que los hilos transversales curvos, formando así canales superiores de distribución (9) y canales inferiores de distribución (4).
3.- Una matriz absorbente para ser utilizada en un artículo absorbente desechable con una parte superior y una parte inferior, caracterizada porque comprende una red polimérica (1) conformada por una pluralidad de hilos longitudinales (13) y una pluralidad de hilos transversales (14) colocados sobre los hilos longitudinales, que forman entre ellos, huecos libres (5) que son cubiertos por partículas de material superabsorbente (6) formando zonas de absorción y retención de fluidos, tal que los hilos longitudinales (13) son del mismo diámetro que los hilos transversales (14), formando canales longitudinales
de distribución de fluido (4) por la parte inferior de la matriz, por debajo de los hilos transversales (14).
4.- Una matriz absorbente de conformidad a la reivindicaciones 1 , 2 y 3, caracterizada porque la matriz esta cubierta por una capa de recepción de fluidos.
5.- Una matriz absorbente sin celulosa de conformidad a la reivindicaciones 1 , 2 y 3, caracterizada porque; la matriz tiene una capa de soporte colocada por la parte inferior de la misma.
6.- Una matriz absorbente de conformidad a la reivindicaciones 1 , 2 y 3, caracterizada porque; la matriz absorbente esta cubierta por una capa envolvente.
7.- Una matriz absorbente sin celulosa de conformidad a la reivindicaciones 1 , 2 y 3, caracterizada porque; la matriz tiene una capa de recepción y una capa de transferencia colocadas sobre la parte superior de la misma.
8. - Una matriz absorbente de conformidad con cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 4 a 7, caracterizada porque; la capa de recepción, la capa de transferencia, la capa de soporte o la capa envolvente, es una tela no tejida con un peso base de al menos 5 gr/m2.
9. - Una matriz absorbente de conformidad a la reivindicaciones 4 a 8, caracterizada porque; la capa de recepción, la capa de transferencia, la capa de soporte o la capa envolvente están fabricadas de fibras de polipropileno, poliéster, algodón, rayón, PLA, PHA, fibras bicomponentes, mezclas de las anteriores o cualquier otro tipo de fibra adecuada para este fin.
10. - Una matriz absorbente de conformidad a cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 4, 5, 7, 8 y 9, caracterizada porque; la capa de recepción y la capa de transferencia de fluidos son hidrófilas, y la capa de soporte es hidrófoba.
1 1 . - Una matriz absorbente de conformidad con la reivindicación 6, caracterizada porque la capa envolvente tiene una o varias zonas hidrófilas que quedarán colocadas en
la parte superior de la matriz y una o varias zona hidrófobas que quedará colocada por las partes laterales e inferior de la matriz.
12.- Una matriz absorbente de conformidad a las reivindicaciones 1 , 2 y 3, caracterizada porque; los huecos libres (5), tienen una separación entre hilos longitudinales de al menos 5 mm y una separación entre hilos transversales de al menos 5 mm.
