Abstract

The invention relates to a modular construction system which consists of a series of hollow prisms or boxes, stored one inside the other such as to fit together perfectly, like Russian dolls (figure 2), which when opened, extracted and combined with one another, enable countless three-dimensional compositions and furniture to be configured. This is possible owing to the design of the modules, hollow prisms or boxes, characterised by having a diagonal opening (figure 1), the right-angled prism having a square base or original box being able to be divided into two triangular prisms (1 figure 1) that are connected in hinged manner by means of the shared edge thereof (2 figure 1), which, together with the possibility of fitting some parts with others, makes multiple quick and easy configurations (figure 7-10) possible. The easy handling, lightness and simplicity of said parts make same very versatile for producing all types of three-dimensional constructions and furniture. The parts can also be connected together using mechanical attachments or punched joining parts, thus increasing the construction possibilities thereof. The essence of the present invention is not affected by variations in the materials, shape, size and arrangement of the component elements, which are described in a limiting manner, which is enough to allow reproduction by an expert. The present invention is a construction system with a large number of applications, which can be used as furniture for children and adults, as a revolutionary storage system, in the construction of sets, containers, packaging systems, in the production of display units, or simply as a game with which to create endless geometric shapes and expressions.

Claims

1. Sistema de construcción modular formado por una serie de prismas rectos rectangulares de sección cuadrada huecos o cajas, caracterizado por unir dos conceptos: 1.
