Abstract
150,952. Boggon, N. G. March 16, 1920. Building-blocks.-Two or more building-blocks are yoked together by a flexible or articulated sheet or one or more bands of material. As shown in Fig. 1, two cubical blocks a, b, spaced apart, are united by a fabric sheet c cemented or otherwise secured to their upper faces. Two such pairs of blocks may be interfitted, one block of the other pair fitting in the space d and the block b fitting in the corresponding space between the other pair. A rectangular block may be formed by folding the sheet c to pass down one side of the block a and placing the block b under the block a in the position shown in Fig. 5, and another yoked pair of blocks a', b<1> may be fitted over the block a forming an overhanging structure, the blocks a<1>, b<1> being cut away at f, or cubical. A pair of prismatic or wedge-shaped blocks g, Fig. 6, may be yoked by a sheet c and used, for example, to form a base for a chimney &c. on the ridge of a roof formed by yoked blocks and single prismatic blocks e. The faces of the blocks may have door, window, or other designs. The coupling sheets or bands may be located intermediate of and parallel to opposite faces of the blocks.
