Description

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MULTIPLE USES OF PACKAGING AS WELL AS
MASSAGING
Field of Invention
The present invention relates to packaging and more particularly to a cardboard based packaging wrap.
Background of the Invention
Packaging involves protecting fragile or sensitive instruments, devices, structures etc. from breaking or any physical damage by wrapping them in appropriate packaging devices. The packaging devices nay include packaging covers, sheets or wraps or likes.
Since, the main function of packaging is to protect the embodiments enclosed in it from damage, the packaging devices itself should be harmless to the embodiments. Various packaging devices are currently being used in world. All of them have certain cons that make them appropriate for packing certain kind of devices only.
Polystyrene sheets are one of the most common packaging material for packing TVs, washing machines and other large electrical apparatus. However, the polystyrene sheets are breakable themselves and are therefore, often rendered not useful after 2-3 uses. Further, the material used is not biodegradable and has multiple environmental and related health concerns.
Another common packaging device that is employed is bubble wrap, which have air trapped between two plastic sheets and thereby give a cushioning effect and protects the packed instrument or device from blows/shocks received during transit, storing etc. However, increasing environmental concerns caused due to use of plastics, is continuously pushing companies to develop an alternative to bubble wrap. In certain packing systems, bubble wrap and polystyrene sheets both are used to safeguard the devices or instruments packed inside.
Other traditional packaging devices include wrapping in cardboards or clothe-cushioning the device. As is evident, the cardboard based packing is not effective in protecting the device from damage, while cloth-cushioning may be expensive to use and is always prone to wear and tear. The polystyrene sheets and bubble wraps too are prone to wear and tear and may not be used after certain cycles of usage. Accordingly, there is a need to develop new packaging or packing devices that are safe, environmental friendly, harmless to the devices packed, and are also not prone to wear and tear while in transit or while just storing the devices. Further, modern packaging devices should be capable of multiple purposes.
Summary of the Invention
In view of the foregoing, a cardboard based packaging device is provided.
In an aspect, a packaging device is provided, which includes a cardboard with a number of round-headed protrusions at one side and a number of recesses, corresponding to the round- headed protrusions, on the other side of the cardboard.
In another aspect, a method of packing an instrument, apparatus, devices or any material or structure is provided, which includes wrapping or enclosing said instrument, apparatus, devices or any material or structure with said packaging device described herein. For packaging purposes, according to embodiment herein, the cardboard may be a laminated cardboard. The instrument, apparatus, devices or any material or structure may be packed in a box made of the packaging device described herein.
The round-headed protrusions may face inwards on wrapping or enclosing said instrument, apparatus, devices or any
material or structure. The recesses may face inwards on wrapping or enclosing said instrument, apparatus, devices or any material or structure.
Brief Description of the Drawings Other objects, features, and advantages of the invention will be apparent from the following description when read with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Fig. 1 is a front view of a packaging sheet, according to an embodiment herein; and
Fig. 2 is the rear view of the packaging sheet, according to an embodiment herein. Detailed Description of the Preferred Embodiments
The present invention will now be described in detail with reference to the accompanying in drawings.
Various embodiments of the present invention provide a programmable autotransformer system.
Referring to Fig. 1, the packaging device, according to the embodiments herein, includes cardboard sheet/paper pulp with round-headed protrusions, as shown in the front view (Figure 1). The cardboard sheet/paper pulp is biodegradable, whereas the round headed protrusions enable bubble-wrap type packing of the devices such as television, mobiles etc. The packaging material is environment friendly and is also less prone to wear and tear. The protruding round-headed protrusions are hard to crack or break by hand or even greater blows. But the cardboard material of the packaging device keeps it harmless to the devices that are packed into it .
Figure 2 illustrates the rear view of the packaging device, according to the embodiments herein. The rear view includes a number of recesses corresponding to the protrusions shown in the front view. The devices like TV, Mobiles etc. may be packed with protrusions of the front view facing inward i.e. towards the device. Alternatively, they may be packed with recesses facing inward. Due to inherent design of the device describe herein, the device may also be used to massage parts of human body such as feet to relieve pain and strains or any other ailments.
