Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de séparation de composants indésirables, tels que par exemple l'azote, l'oxygène, l'hydrogène et/ou le néon, d'un courant d'hélium contenant un composant indésirable. Selon l'invention, celui-ci est refroidi contre un milieu de refroidissement tout d'abord jusqu'à une température qui est au maximum de 8 K au dessus du point de gélification des composants indésirables ou dans le cas de plusieurs composants indésirables jusqu'à une température qui est au maximum de 8 K au dessus du point de gélification le plus élevé des composants indésirables (1ère étape de refroidissement) et le/les composant(s) indésirable(s) ainsi condensé(s) est/sont séparé(s) du courant d'hélium. Le courant d'hélium est ensuite encore refroidi (2ème étape de refroidissement) de sorte que le/les composant(s) indésirable(s) gèlent, la quantité et/ou la composition du ou des milieu(x) de refroidissement utilisé(s) pour la 1ère et/ou la 2ème étape de refroidissement pouvant être réglées. Selon l'invention, le courant d'hélium est soumis, après la 2ème étape de refroidissement, à un processus d'adsorption servant à la séparation de l'hydrogène et/ou du néon.
