Abstract

The invention relates to a driving drum drive, comprising a driving drum (2) having a device arranged thereon for forming an axially centring movement of a loop of a cable (4) running axially from the driving drum (2), at least one full wrap of the cable (4) that produces a frictional connection between the cable (4) and the driving drum circumference being provided. The problem addressed by the inventions is that of providing a driving drum drive that allows endless operation during use for transmitting mechanical energy over relatively large distances by means of a simple and operationally safe construction having a single driving drum for driving and output. The problem is solved by a device for forming the centring axial transverse movement of the loop of the cable (4) running from the driving drum (2), which driving drum (2) has a guide tunnel (34), which guide tunnel (34) is arranged in the region of the loop (9) and axially guides the loop (9) at least partially on the circumference and over at least some of the cross section of the cable (4) and prevents the driving drum (2) from running away.
