 本発明は、火力発電所のボイラからの排煙に含まれる硫黄酸化物を湿式脱硫剤で脱硫する脱硫装置に関する。
 火力発電所のボイラは、化石燃料の燃焼に伴って硫黄酸化物を含んだ排煙を発生させる。硫黄酸化物のうち特に二酸化硫黄や三酸化硫黄は、大気汚染・酸性雨などの環境問題の主原因の一つとなっている。よって、火力発電所には、排煙中から二酸化硫黄や三酸化硫黄といった硫黄酸化物を脱硫する脱硫装置が備えつけられている。
 脱硫装置は、石灰石-石膏法による湿式法が主流を占めており、中でもスプレー方式が多く採用されている。このスプレー式脱硫装置は、吸収塔で湿式脱硫剤を含む吸収液を排煙にスプレーし、吸収塔内で排煙中の硫黄酸化物を吸収液で脱硫するようになっている。この脱硫装置は、硫黄酸化物が吸収液と気液接触している時間(以下、反応時間という)が長ければ長いほど、脱硫能力が高くなる。よって、反応時間を長くとるため、吸収塔の高さを大きくすることが考えられる。しかし、脱硫装置は、吸収塔の高さを大きくすると、建設コストが高くなってしまうという問題が発生する。
 そこで、吸収塔の高さを抑えつつも反応時間を長くとれる簡易脱硫装置が既に提案されている。下記の特許文献1に示す簡易脱硫装置は、ボイラと煙突を繋ぐ煙道の下方に、煙道中を流れる排煙の一部を煙道から導き出して煙道へ戻すV字形の反応器を有し、この反応器の入側に排煙の流れと同じ向きに吸収液をスプレーするノズルを設け、そして、反応器の最下部に吸収液を捕集する液溜めを設ける構成とすることにより、従来の脱硫装置に比して構造を簡略化している。
 また、下記の特許文献2には、水平方向に排ガスを導く排ガス流路を有した湿式排煙脱硫装置において、排ガス流路に沿ってスプレノズルを複数配置し、各スプレノズルの圧力、噴射角、流量をそれぞれ変えることによって脱硫能力を高めることが開示されている。また、下記の特許文献3には、水平方向に排ガスを導く排ガス流路を有した湿式排煙脱硫装置において、排ガス流路に沿ってその上下にスプレノズルを複数配置し、噴霧液滴が存在しない領域を小さくすることで脱硫能力を高めることが開示されている。

 しかしながら、特許文献1の簡易脱硫装置は、排煙の流れと同じ向きに吸収液をスプレーしても、吸収液が重力の影響を受けるため流路に沿って進まず下方に落下してしまい、吸収液が反応器内で均一にならず、脱硫能力を高める余地を残していた。また、特許文献2、3に開示される脱硫装置は、吸収塔の高さを大きくすることで反応時間を長くし、これによって脱硫能力を高める発明ではなかった。
 本発明は、斯かる実情に鑑み、斜めに傾いた流路内での吸収液を均一にすることで更に脱硫能力を高めた脱硫装置を提供する。
 本発明の脱硫装置は、燃料燃焼器と煙突を繋ぐ煙道から排煙が流される下り勾配の下り傾斜流路と、前記下り傾斜流路の上流に配され、硫黄酸化物を吸収する吸収液を排煙の流れと同方向に噴射するスプレー器と、前記下り傾斜流路から流れてきた排煙を前記煙道に導く上り勾配の上り傾斜流路と、前記上り傾斜流路の下端と前記下り傾斜流路の下端間に配された液溜めと、を備え、前記下り傾斜流路における前記スプレー器の下流側には、前記下り傾斜流路内の吸収液が均一になるように吸収液を噴射する補助スプレー器を配し、前記下り傾斜流路には、流路の内径を絞る邪魔板を前記補助スプレー器の下流側、且つ、流路上部に有したことを特徴としている。
 前記上り傾斜流路は、吸収液のミストを除去するミストエリミネータを下流に有することができる。
 前記上り傾斜流路の流路断面積は、前記下り傾斜流路断面積よりも大きいことが好ましい。
  本発明の脱硫装置によれば、斜めに傾いた流路内での吸収液が均一になるため、更に脱硫能力が高まる。
本発明に係る脱硫装置の断面図である。 (A)は、下り傾斜流路にスプレー器と補助スプレー器が配置された様子を示す断面図である。(B)は、下り傾斜流路の補助スプレー器が配置される箇所から下流側を示す図である。 下り傾斜流路の変形例を示す断面図である。 上り傾斜流路の変形例を示す断面図である。
 以下、本発明を実施するための形態を、図1を参照しながら説明する。図1は、本発明に係る脱硫装置1の断面図である。
 脱硫装置1は、ボイラB(燃料燃焼器)からの排煙Gを煙突2に接続する煙道3の下方に配設されている。そして、この脱硫装置1は、V字形の流路4と、スプレー器5と、補助スプレー器6と、液溜め7と、ミストエリミネータ8と、攪拌器9と、ミスト循環器10と、吸収液循環器11と、吸収液供給器12と、酸素供給器13と、脱水器14と、を備えている。また、煙道3には、バイパスダンパ15が配置されている。
 V字形の流路4は、煙道3の上流側を流れる排煙Gを抜き出して煙道3の下流側に戻す側面視がV字形の流路である。このV字形の流路4は、下り勾配の下り傾斜流路16と、下り傾斜流路16に接続され水平方向に排煙Gを導く水平流路17と、水平流路17に接続され煙道3に排煙Gを導く上り勾配の上り傾斜流路18と、を有している。ここで、下り傾斜流路16と上り傾斜流路18は、例えば、流路断面が円形である。
 また、煙道3のうち、煙道3と下り傾斜流路16の接続部と、上り傾斜流路18と煙道3の接続部と、の間には、排煙Gを制御するためのバイパスダンパ15が配置されている。このバイパスダンパ15は、閉じられると排煙Gが下り傾斜流路16内へ流れ込むようになっている。
 スプレー器5は、下り傾斜流路16の上流であって、煙道3との接続部近傍に配置される。そして、このスプレー器5は、流路内の径方向(軸方向に直交する方向)に沿って複数のノズルを有している。このノズルは、吸収液Mを下り傾斜流路16内における排煙Gの流れ方向と同方向、すなわち、排煙Gの流れ方向と並流となるように噴射する。ここで、吸収液Mは、例えば、石灰石(炭酸カルシウム)を含んだ微小液滴でミスト状である。
 補助スプレー器6は、スプレー器5と同様に吸収液Mを噴射するノズルを備えている。この補助スプレー器6は、下り傾斜流路16内でスプレー器5より下流側の流路上部で、且つ、吸収液Mの濃度が低い箇所に吸収液Mを噴射するように配置される。
 液溜め7は、吸収液Mが貯留される。液溜め7は、水平流路17の下部、且つ、液面7aが下り傾斜流路16から流れ込んできた排煙Gの流れと衝突する位置に配置される。液溜め7の水面が排煙Gの流れと衝突する位置にあるため、スプレー器5から噴射された吸収液Mの大半は、液溜め7に導かれる。また、吸収液Mによって脱硫されたのちの亜硫酸カルシウムや炭酸カルシウムも液溜め7に溜まるようになっている。また、液溜め7内は、亜硫酸カルシウムや炭酸カルシウムのような固形分が底に溜まらないように、攪拌器9によって攪拌される。なお、攪拌器9は、必須の構成ではなく脱硫装置1の実施態様によっては省略しても良い。
 ミストエリミネータ8は、液溜め7に導かれなかった吸収液Mのうち上り傾斜流路18の下流側まで排煙Gに乗って運ばれた吸収液Mを捕集する。この捕集された吸収液Mは、ミスト循環器10を介して液溜め7に戻される。ここで、ミストエリミネータ8は、必須の構成ではなく、傾斜流路の下流側まで運ばれる吸収液Mがほとんどないのであれば省略しても良い。
 吸収液循環器11は、ポンプ11aを有し、このポンプ11aが液溜め7の吸収液Mをスプレー器5まで汲み上げる。また、吸収液供給器12は、新たな吸収液Mを液溜め7に供給する。
 酸素供給器13は、吹き込み管13aを介して酸化剤として酸素を液溜め7に送り込み、液溜め7内の酸化処理が必要な化合物に対して酸素を供給する。ここで、吹き込み管13aには、スラリの付着を防止するため少量の水が流される。酸化処理が必要な化合物、例えば、亜硫酸カルシウムは、液溜め7の中で酸化されて硫酸カルシウム(石膏)になる。脱水器14は、液溜め7底部の吸収液Mの一部を取り出して硫酸カルシウムを除去する。硫酸カルシウムが除去された排水は、図示しない排水処理設備へ送られるようになっている。なお、酸化剤は、空気を用いても良い。
 次に、図2を参照して、下り傾斜流路16内で排煙G中の硫黄酸化物が脱硫される様子を説明する。図2(A)は、下り傾斜流路16にスプレー器5と補助スプレー器6が配置された様子を示す断面図である。図2(B)は、下り傾斜流路16の補助スプレー器6が配置される箇所から下流側を示す図である。
 図2(A)に示すとおり、スプレー器5は、排煙Gに対して同じ方向すなわち並流となるように吸収液Mを噴射する。吸収液Mは、排煙Gに乗って下り傾斜流路16内を進む。ここで、下り傾斜流路16内は、前述したとおり下り勾配となっている。そして、吸収液Mには、重力が作用するため、下り傾斜流路16内の軸線方向に沿って進まず流路内を下方向へ落下しながら下流側へ流れる。従って、下り傾斜流路16内は下流側に進むに従って、鉛直方向下側が吸収液Mの密度が高くなり、鉛直方向上側が吸収液Mの密度が低くなってしまう。吸収液Mが不均一となると、脱硫性能が低下する原因となる。
 そこで、本発明は、スプレー器5の下流側に更に補助スプレー器6を備え、図2(B)に示すとおり、下り傾斜流路16内の吸収液Mが均一になるように吸収液Mを下り傾斜流路16内の鉛直方向上側から軸方向に更に噴射する。これにより、下り傾斜流路16内の吸収液Mの不均一が解消され脱硫性能を上げることができる。
 次に、本発明に係る下り傾斜流路16の変形例を、図3を参照しながら説明する。図3は、下り傾斜流路16の変形例を示す断面図である。図中、図1及び図2と同一の符号を付した部分は同一物を示している。基本的な構成は、図1及び図2に示す下り傾斜流路16と同様であるが、本変形例の特徴とするところは、図3に示すように、下り傾斜流路16内に邪魔板20を設置した点にある。
 先に説明した実施形態により、下り傾斜流路16内の吸収液Mの不均一は解消される。しかしながら、下り傾斜流路16の軸方向の長さが長い場合、吸収液Mの不均一さが解消されても、均一に分布した吸収液Mが下流側へ流れれば流れるほど重力により下方向へ落下し、流路の鉛直方向下側の方が流路の鉛直方向上側よりも吸収液Mの密度が高くなる。吸収液Mが不均一となると、脱硫性能が低下する原因となる。
 そこで、本変形例は、補助スプレー器6の下流側で、且つ、下り傾斜流路16内の上部に邪魔板20が配置される。この邪魔板20は、下り傾斜流路16内の内壁のうち鉛直方向上側(上部)から径方向内部に出っ張る板状部材である。
 図3に示すとおり、吸収液Mは、邪魔板20の上流側までは、重力の影響を受けて下方向へ落下し、流路の鉛直方向下側の方が流路の鉛直方向上側よりも吸収液Mの密度が高くなる。そうすると、排煙Gは、密度の低く圧力の影響を受け難い鉛直方向上側の方が流れ易くなる。そして、吸収液Mと排煙Gが邪魔板20まで流れると、邪魔板20が流路径を絞る為、邪魔板20部分を通る際に吸収液Mと排煙Gに対して流路の径方向内方(邪魔板20の突出方向)に向けて圧力が発生し、邪魔板20を流れ過ぎるとその圧力から解放されて吸収液Mと排煙Gは、流路の径方向外方(邪魔板20の突出方向とは逆方向)へ均一に拡散される。これにより、下り傾斜流路16の軸方向の長さが長く、補助スプレー器6で均一にした吸収液Mが不均一になったとしても、邪魔板20は、吸収液Mを均一にすることができ、吸収液Mの不均一による脱硫性能の低下を防止することができる。また、吸収液Mの密度の低い上部に邪魔板20を配置するため、邪魔板20部分に吸収液Mが溜まってしまう虞もない。
 次に、本発明に係る上り傾斜流路18の変形例を、図4を参照しながら説明する。図4は、上り傾斜流路18の変形例を示す断面図である。図中、図1及び図2と同一の符号を付した部分は同一物を示している。基本的な構成は、図1及び図2に示す下り傾斜流路16と同様であるが、本変形例の特徴とするところは、図4に示すように、上り傾斜流路18の流路断面積が下り傾斜流路16の流路断面積よりも大きくした点にある。
 本変形例は、上り傾斜流路18の流路断面積が下り傾斜流路16の流路断面積よりも大きくなっている。このため、下り傾斜流路16内を流れてきた排煙Gは、上り傾斜流路18内でその流速が減速される。具体的には、液溜め7に導かれなかった吸収液Mが上り傾斜流路18の下流側まで排煙Gによって運ばれない程度の流速に減速される。これにより、本変形例は吸収液Mが上り傾斜流路18の下流側まで流されることがない。なお、上り傾斜流路18まで運ばれた吸収液Mは、自重により上り傾斜流路18を滑り落ちて自然と液溜め7の中に導かれるようになっている。本変形例によれば、ミストエリミネータ8と、ミスト循環器10と、を省略することができ脱硫装置1の製作コストを下げることができる。
 ここで、下り傾斜流路16の変形例と上り傾斜流路18の変形例は、先に説明した実施の形態に組み合わせても良いし片方だけ採用しても良い。また、他の変形例として、補助スプレー器6の下流側に更にスプレー器5を備えても良い。補助スプレー器6は、流路内の吸収液Mを均一にするためならどのような位置に配置しても良い。下り傾斜流路16の上部に限られず、下部でも良い。また、水平流路17の上部にも設置しても良い。
 なお、本発明の脱硫装置は、上述の実施例にのみ限定されない。本発明の脱硫装置は、本発明の要旨を逸脱しない範囲内において種々変更できる。

Claims (4)

  1.  燃料燃焼器と煙突を繋ぐ煙道から排煙が流される下り勾配の下り傾斜流路と、
     前記下り傾斜流路の上流に配され、硫黄酸化物を吸収する吸収液を排煙の流れと同方向に噴射するスプレー器と、
     前記下り傾斜流路から流れてきた排煙を前記煙道に導く上り勾配の上り傾斜流路と、
     前記上り傾斜流路の下端と前記下り傾斜流路の下端間に配された液溜めと、を備え、
     前記下り傾斜流路における前記スプレー器の下流側には、前記下り傾斜流路内の吸収液が均一になるように吸収液を噴射する補助スプレー器を配し、
     前記下り傾斜流路には、流路の内径を絞る邪魔板を前記補助スプレー器の下流側、且つ、流路上部に有した脱硫装置。
  2.  前記上り傾斜流路は、吸収液のミストを除去するミストエリミネータを下流に有した請求項1に記載の脱硫装置。
  3.  前記上り傾斜流路の流路断面積は、前記下り傾斜流路断面積よりも大きい請求項1に記載の脱硫装置。
  4.  前記上り傾斜流路の流路断面積は、前記下り傾斜流路断面積よりも大きい請求項2に記載の脱硫装置。
