Abstract
Description
図1は、地図差分データ配信システム100の概略的な構成の一例を示す図である。図1に示す地図差分データ配信システム100は、地図差分抽出サーバ1、更新管理サーバ2、及びナビゲーション装置3を含んでいる。地図差分抽出サーバ1及び更新管理サーバ2が地図差分データ配信装置の一例に相当する。
図1に示すように、地図差分抽出サーバ1は、抽出サーバ側通信部11、地図差分データベース(DB)12、及び抽出サーバ側制御部13を備える。抽出サーバ側通信部11は、通信網を介して、更新管理サーバ2やナビゲーション装置3との間で通信を行う。
ここで、地図差分DB12に格納される地図差分データについて説明を行う。地図差分データは、地図要素のデータを更新する前のバージョンの地図データと地図要素のデータを更新した後のバージョンの地図データとの差分である。この差分は、言い換えると、各バージョンで更新された地図要素のデータである。例えば地図要素の更新は、道路の開通や閉鎖、施設の追加や削除などによって生じる。また、地図差分データは、地図データを複数に分割した例えば矩形の区画単位で管理されるものとする。各区画には、区画IDが与えられている。
依存関係とは、ある地図要素(以下、第1地図要素)のデータを更新する場合に予め他の地図要素(以下、第2地図要素)のデータを更新しておかないと、第1地図要素が他の地図要素と不整合となってしまう関係にあることを言う。ここで、図3を用いて依存関係についての説明を行う。図3では、初版地図データから、第2版地図データ、第3版地図データの順に地図データの更新が行われた場合の地図差分データにおける依存関係について説明を行う。
図1に示すように、更新管理サーバ2は、管理サーバ側通信部21、更新管理DB22、及び管理サーバ側制御部23を備える。管理サーバ側通信部21は、通信網を介して、地図差分抽出サーバ1やナビゲーション装置3との間で通信を行う。
ナビゲーション装置3は、車載のナビゲーション装置であってもよいし、車両に持ち込み可能な携帯型のナビゲーション装置であってもよい。また、ナビゲーション装置3が携帯型である場合には、ナビゲーション装置3は自動車や自動二輪車や自転車等の車両での移動時に用いる構成としてもよいし、ナビゲーション装置3を携帯したユーザの徒歩移動時等に用いる構成としてもよい。以降では、ナビゲーション装置3として車載のナビゲーション装置を用いた場合を例に挙げて説明を行う。なお、ナビゲーション装置3が地図データ保有装置の一例に相当する。
次に、図7のシーケンス図を用いて、地図差分データ配信システム100での処理の流れについての説明を行う。
まず、ナビゲーション装置3の制御装置41の抽出用情報送信部411が、抽出用情報送信処理を行う(t1)。抽出用情報送信処理は、所定のトリガを検出した場合に行う。所定のトリガは、例えば自車両のACC電源オンやナビゲーション装置3での目的地設定である。自車両のACC電源オンは、外部入力I/F部33を介して取得したACC電源のオンオフの信号をもとに検出すればよい。
ナビゲーション装置3から送信された抽出用情報を、管理サーバ側通信部21を介して更新管理サーバ2の管理サーバ側制御部23が受信すると、管理サーバ側制御部23の指定情報決定部231が指定情報決定処理を行う(t2)。
更新管理サーバ2の管理サーバ側制御部23の指定情報送信部232が、前述の指定情報決定処理で決定した指定情報を、管理サーバ側通信部21を介して地図差分抽出サーバ1へ送信する指定情報送信処理を行う(t3)。
更新管理サーバ2から送信された指定情報を、抽出サーバ側通信部11を介して地図差分抽出サーバ1の抽出サーバ側制御部13が受信すると、抽出サーバ側制御部13の差分データ抽出部131が差分データ抽出処理を行う(t4)。
依存差分グループ抽出部132が、差分データ抽出処理で抽出した差分グループ及び全国配信対象差分グループと依存関係にある差分グループを抽出する依存差分グループ抽出処理を行う(t5)。依存差分グループ抽出処理では、前述の指定情報に含まれるリリース回数より回数の多いリリースに含まれる差分グループから、差分データ抽出処理で抽出した差分グループ及び全国配信対象差分グループと依存関係にある差分グループ(以下、依存差分グループ)を抽出する。
地図差分抽出サーバ1の抽出サーバ側制御部13の差分グループID送信部133が、差分グループID送信処理を行う(t6)。差分グループID送信処理では、差分データ抽出処理で抽出した個人配信差分グループの個人配信ID、差分データ抽出処理で抽出した全国配信対象差分グループの全国配信ID、及び依存差分グループ抽出処理で抽出した依存差分グループの依存差分IDを、抽出サーバ側通信部11を介して更新管理サーバ2へ送信する。
地図差分抽出サーバ1から送信された個人配信ID、全国配信ID、及び依存差分IDを、管理サーバ側通信部21を介して更新管理サーバ2の管理サーバ側制御部23が受信すると、管理サーバ側制御部23の未更新データ抽出部233が未更新差分グループ抽出処理を行う(t7)。
更新管理サーバ2の管理サーバ側制御部23の未更新データ送信部234が、未更新差分グループ送信処理を行う(t8)。未更新差分グループ送信処理では、未更新差分グループ抽出処理で抽出した未更新差分グループの差分グループIDを、管理サーバ側通信部21を介して地図差分抽出サーバ1へ送信する。未更新差分グループの差分グループIDを、以降では未更新グループIDと呼ぶ。未更新差分グループが、未更新データの一例に相当する。
更新管理サーバ2から送信された未更新グループIDを、抽出サーバ側通信部11を介して地図差分抽出サーバ1の抽出サーバ側制御部13が受信すると、抽出サーバ側制御部13のグループ化部134が、レコード処理を行う(t9)。
地図差分抽出サーバ1の抽出サーバ側制御部13の配信データ作成部135が、配信データ作成処理を行う(t10)。配信データ作成処理では、レコード処理でグループ化したレコードを、規定の通信サイズに収まるように、より古いバージョンについてのレコードから順番に並べて配信データを作成する。より古いバージョンについてのレコードとは、リリース回数のより若いレコードと言い換えることができる。
地図差分抽出サーバ1の抽出サーバ側制御部13のデータURL送信部136がデータURL送信処理を行う(t11)。データURL送信処理では、前述の配信データ作成処理で作成してメモリに格納した配信データのアドレスを示すデータURL及び配信データに含む未更新グループの差分グループIDを、抽出サーバ側通信部11を介して更新管理サーバ2へ送信する。
地図差分抽出サーバ1から送信されたデータURLを、管理サーバ側通信部21を介して更新管理サーバ2の管理サーバ側制御部23が受信すると、管理サーバ側制御部23のデータURL中継部235がデータURL中継処理を行う(t12)。データURL中継処理では、受信したデータURLを、管理サーバ側通信部21を介してナビゲーション装置3へ送信する。
更新管理サーバ2から送信されたデータURLを、通信装置31を介してナビゲーション装置3の制御装置41が受信すると、制御装置41の差分データ取得部412が差分データ取得処理を行う(t13)。差分データ取得処理では、受信したデータURLが示すアドレスにアクセスを行い、そのアドレスに格納されている配信データの送信を要求する。
地図差分抽出サーバ1の抽出サーバ側制御部13の配信部137が配信処理を行う(t14)。配信処理では、前述の差分データ取得処理で要求された配信データを、抽出サーバ側通信部11を介してナビゲーション装置3へ配信する。配信処理では、配信データ作成処理で作成した配信データが複数存在した場合には、より古いバージョンについてのレコードを含む配信データから順番に配信する。
地図差分抽出サーバ1から配信された配信データを、通信装置31を介してナビゲーション装置3の制御装置41が受信した後に、制御装置41の更新部413が更新処理を行う(t15)。更新処理では、ナビゲーション装置3において、地図データをもとにして案内を行うアプリケーションプログラムで必要な地図データを地図DB34から読み出す都度、地図DB34の地図データと、それまでに受信してきた配信データ(つまり、地図差分データ)とを合成する。
実施形態の構成によれば、予め更新しておかないと他の地図要素と不整合になってしまう未更新差分グループから、同一リリース回数(つまり、同一バージョン内)において依存関係が保障される最小単位であるレコード単位で先に更新できる。よって、更新後の地図要素間の関係に不整合を生じさせない最小単位で地図データを更新できる。従って、地図差分データの配信に対して通信サイズの制約がある場合に、配信する地図差分データの通信サイズをその制約に従った通信サイズに抑えながらも、更新後の地図要素間の関係に不整合を生じさせないようにすることが可能になる。
実施形態では、地図差分データ配信システム100に、それぞれ別体となった地図差分抽出サーバ1及び更新管理サーバ2を含む構成を示したが、必ずしもこれに限らない。例えば、地図差分データ配信システム100に、地図差分抽出サーバ1と更新管理サーバ2との機能を有するサーバを含む構成としてもよい。つまり、地図差分抽出サーバ1と更新管理サーバ2とが一体化したサーバを含む構成としてもよい。
実施形態では、地図差分データ配信システム100に、地図データが更新されるごとに更新前後の地図データから地図差分データを生成するサーバ(以下、地図差分データ生成サーバ)を含まない構成を示したが、必ずしもこれに限らない。例えば、地図差分データ配信システム100に、地図差分データ生成サーバを含む構成としてもよい。また、地図差分データ生成サーバが、地図差分抽出サーバ1や更新管理サーバ2と一体化した構成としてもよい。
なお、本開示の実施形態は、上述した各実施形態に限定されるものではなく、種々の変更が可能であり、異なる実施形態にそれぞれ開示された技術的手段を適宜組み合わせて得られる実施形態についても本開示の実施形態に含まれる。
Claims (13)
- 地図要素のデータを更新する前のバージョンの地図データと地図要素のデータを更新した後のバージョンの地図データとの差分である地図差分データを格納している地図差分データ格納部(12)と、
前記地図差分データを配信する配信部(137)とを備える地図差分データ配信装置(1、2)と、
前記配信部(137)から配信される前記地図差分データをもとに、自装置で扱う地図データの更新を行う更新部(413)を備える地図データ保有装置(3)とを含み、
前記地図差分データ格納部(12)は、前記バージョンで更新された前記地図要素のデータに加え、当該地図要素のデータを更新する場合に、予め更新しておかないと当該地図要素が他の地図要素と不整合となってしまう依存関係にある前記地図要素のデータについては、前記バージョンの異なる前記地図要素のデータの更新にまで遡り、前記地図差分データとして格納している地図差分データ配信システムであって、
前記地図差分データ配信装置(1、2)は、
前記地図差分データ格納部(12)に格納している前記地図差分データのうちから、前記地図データ保有装置(3)において未更新の前記地図要素のデータである未更新データを抽出する未更新データ抽出部(233)と、
同一の前記バージョン内で前記依存関係にある前記地図要素のデータ同士をグループ化するグループ化部(134)と、
前記グループ化部(134)でグループ化した前記未更新データのまとまりであるレコードを、規定の通信サイズに収まるように並べて、前記配信部(137)で配信する配信データを作成する配信データ作成部(135)とを備え、
前記配信部(137)は、前記配信データ作成部(135)で作成した前記配信データを配信することで前記地図差分データを配信する地図差分データ配信システム。 - 請求項1において、
前記配信データ作成部(135)は、前記グループ化部(134)でグループ化した前記未更新データのまとまりであるレコードを、規定の通信サイズに収まるように、より古い前記バージョンについての前記レコードから順番に並べて、前記配信部(137)で配信する配信データを作成する地図差分データ配信システム。 - 請求項1又は2において、
前記配信部(137)は、前記配信データ作成部(135)で作成した前記配信データのうち、より古い前記バージョンについての前記レコードを含む前記配信データから順番に配信することで前記地図差分データを配信する地図差分データ配信システム。 - 請求項1~3のいずれか1項において、
前記地図差分データ配信装置(1、2)は、
前記地図データ保有装置(3)に配信済みの前記地図差分データを判別するための判別用情報を格納している判別用情報格納部(22)を備え、
前記未更新データ抽出部(233)は、前記判別用情報格納部(22)で格納している前記判別用情報を用いることで、前記未更新データを抽出する地図差分データ配信システム。 - 請求項1~4において、
前記未更新データ抽出部(233)は、前記地図データ保有装置(3)から所定の情報を受信したことをもとに、前記未更新データを抽出し、
