Abstract

The invention relates to a method for operating a photovoltaic power plant which is connected to a limited electricity grid alongside a grid-forming source, at least one combustion generator, which is activated or deactivated on demand by a generator control, and at least one load, in order to reduce a fuel consumption of all combustion generators by supplying power from the photovoltaic power plant, wherein a reserve power (P Res) currently available in the electricity grid is determined, wherein only activated fuel generators are considered, and, if the determined reserve power ((PRes) falls short of a minimum reserve power (PRes,min), the supply of power from the photovoltaic power plant (Poutpv) is reduced until the at least one or an additional combustion generator is activated by the generator control.
