Abstract

L'invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés pour le refroidissement par étapes de cendre à haute pression et à haute température évacuée depuis le gazéifieur utilisé pour la gazéification de matériaux carbonés, un refroidisseur à haute pression refroidissant la cendre sous la pression de service du gazéifieur, qui peut être suivi d'un dépressurisateur qui amène la cendre refroidie à une température de maniement sécuritaire. Un refroidisseur de cendre à basse température peut être éventuellement utilisé. L'invention concerne également un système dans lequel un dépoussiéreur par voie humide est utilisé pour nettoyer le gaz de synthèse provenant du gazéifieur, les eaux usées provenant du dépoussiéreur étant utilisées pour refroidir la cendre chaude soit dans le refroidisseur de cendre à haute température, soit dans le refroidisseur de cendre à basse température. La vapeur générée dans les refroidisseurs de cendre est retournée au gazéifieur pour réduire la consommation de vapeur.
