"Cosmetic product for foam application on keratinic fibers"

The present application describes cosmetic products whose compositions can be sprayed as an aerosol and which are present in the form of a foam after spraying. A further subject of this application is a hair styling process in which an aerosol foam is sprayed onto wet hair by spraying the composition, the hair style is subsequently shaped and then dried.

For the design of versatile hairstyles used hair fixatives, which are nowadays usually available as a mousse, and hair sprays. Hair sprays can be presented as a non-aerosol (pump spray) with a manually operated pump, or they are filled as aerosols and sprayed as an aerosol over the finished hairstyle. Hairsprays, which are applied in the form of an aerosol, represent the more convenient dosage form for the user.

Hairsprays and mousses are very different in their tasks and applications. Mousse dispensers are distributed for styling hair in damp hair and then dried, hair sprays are sprayed to fix on the finished styled hairstyle. Both product groups can be assigned specific advantages and disadvantages.

So mousses are particularly suitable to make a hairstyle starting from wet hair. However, a foam is unsuitable for styling, especially at the hairline, as it can not be applied precisely in the area of the hairline. Styling foams are therefore usually not the product of choice for styling that only takes place at the hairline.

Hair sprays, on the other hand, are very well suited to be used precisely at the hairline. However, hair sprays have their best effect only on dry hair, on wet hair hair sprays do not stop. When applying the hair spray on dry hair, the time available to the hairdressing stylist is also very short.

Spray foams offer a way to combine the advantages of both product groups. A spray foam represents a product category that is formulated as an aerosol and therefore can be sprayed precisely on the hairline. Since this is a sprayable mousse, this spray foam can also be applied to wet hair and designed the hairstyle starting from wet hair.

Spray foams are applied in the form of an aerosol. An aerosol is a disperse system in which a solid or a liquid is very finely dispersed in a gas. The aerosol is usually only when using a suitable spray system by spraying solutions, emulsions or suspensions self-produced, including, for example, spray cans can be used, in which a liquefied compressed gas serves as a propellant gas. When opening of the pressure valve, the propellant-preparation mixture escapes through a fine nozzle, the propellant evaporates and leaves the finely distributed spray material as an aerosol.

However, the spray foams known from the prior art have the disadvantage that the foam produced after spraying has little foam volume and breaks quickly. Another disadvantage is that the spray often does not fan out as desired during spraying. Too little fanning of the spray jet leads to an uneven application of Sprühguts, whereby certain parts of hair overloaded with Sprühgut, other parts of hair, however, are not wetted with sprayed material. In this case, a satisfactory hairstyle design is no longer possible.

There is therefore still a great need for optimized styling products in the form of spray foams, which do not have the aforementioned disadvantages. It is an object of the present application to provide a styling product which enables the spray application of a foam which is optimized with regard to foam volume and foam stability. The styling product should be precisely applicable in the hairline area. The spray jet should have a sufficiently high fanning, which ensures the uniform application and a good styling result. In addition, the spray foam applied with the styling product should also give wet hair a high hold, whereby the hairstyle design starting from wet hair is possible.

Surprisingly, it has been found that this object is achieved in an outstanding manner by a product which is made up as an aerosol, has an aerosol delivery device and emits a composition containing a special combination of two different propellant gases, at least one cationic surfactant and contains at least one water-soluble alcohol.

A first subject of the present application is a cosmetic product for foam application to keratinic fibers, in particular human hair, comprising an aerosol pressure container, an aerosol dispenser and a cosmetic composition containing

(a) dimethyl ether as first propellant,

(b) one or more further propellant gases selected from the group consisting of propane, propene, n-butane, isobutane, isobutene, n-pentane, pentene, isopentane and isopentene,

(c) at least one cationic surfactant,

(d) at least one water-soluble alcohol having 2 to 9 C atoms and 1 to 6 hydroxy groups and

(e) water.

The cosmetic product comprises an aerosol pressure vessel. Particularly good effects according to the invention are achieved if the internal pressure of the aerosol pressure vessel is at least 1.8 bar, in particular at least 2.5 bar.

The product further comprises an aerosol dispenser having a valve for delivering the aerosol. It has proved to be preferred if dimethyl ether is present as propellant gas (a) in certain quantitative ranges in the composition according to the invention. The cosmetic products can therefore dimethyl ether in an amount of 2 to 20 wt .-%, preferably from 4 to 18 wt .-%, more preferably from 6 to 16 wt .-% and particularly preferably from 8 to 12 wt .-% - based on the total weight of the blowing agent-containing composition - included.

In a further preferred embodiment, a product according to the invention is characterized in that it contains as the first propellant dimethyl ether (a) in an amount of from 2 to 20% by weight, preferably from 4 to 18% by weight, more preferably from 6 to 16% by weight .-% and particularly preferably from 8 to 12 wt .-% - based on the total weight of the blowing agent-containing composition - contains.

In the course of the work leading to this invention, it has been found that the selection and quantity of the further blowing agent (b) also greatly influences the fanning of the spray jet. The composition of the blowing agents (a) and (b) also surprisingly has an influence on the foam stability.

An optimal fanning of the spray jet can be achieved if one or more blowing agents from the group of n-butane, isobutane and / or propane are used in the composition of the product according to the invention as further blowing agents (b).

In a preferred embodiment, a product according to the invention is therefore characterized in that in addition to dimethyl ether as the first propellant gas (a) it contains one or more further propellant gases (b) from the group n-butane, isobutane and / or propane.

Furthermore, it has been found preferable if the propellant gases (b) are also contained in the composition in specific quantitative ranges. In a preferred embodiment, the products according to the invention contain one or more further propellant gases (b) selected from the group consisting of propane, propene, n-butane, isobutane, isobutene, n-pentane, pentene, isopentane and isopentene in a total amount of 1 to 10 wt .-%, preferably from 2 to 9 wt .-%, more preferably from 3 to 8 wt .-% and particularly preferably from 4 to 7 wt .-% - based on the total weight of the blowing agent-containing Composition. The foam obtained by spraying the composition of the invention is characterized in particular by a very good foam quality, when the propellants contained in the composition (a) and (b) are used in certain proportions to each other. At the same time, the spray jet is fanned out widely when the propellant gases (a) and (b) are present in optimized proportions in the preparation according to the invention. Preferably, the weight ratio of the amount of the propellant dimethyl ether contained in the product (a) to the total amount of the propellant from group (b) contained in the product at a value of 5: 1 to 1: 2, preferably from 4: 1 to 1: 1, more preferably 3: 1 to 3: 2, and most preferably 2: 1. In the most preferred case of weight ratios (a) / (b) of 2: 1, dimethyl ether (a) is used in an amount which is twice as high as the total amount of blowing agent used in group (b). Calculation basis for the calculation of the weight amounts here is the total weight of the blowing agent-containing composition.

The use of the cationic surfactants (c) contained in the product according to the invention has a significant influence on the quality and stability of the foam obtained by the spraying process. The total amount of cationic surfactants (c) present in the product according to the invention is therefore within preferred ranges.

A very particularly preferred product according to the invention is characterized in that it contains one or more cationic surfactants (c) in a total amount of from 0.05 to 1.3% by weight, preferably from 0.09 to 1.1% by weight, more preferably from 0, 13 to 0.8 wt .-% and particularly preferably from 0, 17 to 0.4 wt .-% - based on the total weight of the blowing agent-containing composition - contains.

Particularly preferred alcohols are ethanol and isopropanol, most preferably ethanol.
