Abstract

There is provided an object (10) having a surface structure (14) which is configured for improved adhesion of a coating (12). The surface structure (14) has webs (16) and grooves (18a,b) which are arranged in a row. A web has a top face (20) which is inclined in a single direction. The top faces (20) of the webs (16) are inclined in the same direction, specifically in row direction (R). A web (16) further has a first face (24) which is oriented in row direction (R), and a second face (32) which is oriented in the opposite direction to row direction (R). The first face (24) and the second face (32) are transverse to the row direction (R). The design of the webs (16) and grooves (18a,b) makes it possible for the surface structure (14) to be very well back-filled with coating material, and the surface structure (14) imparts very good adhesive strength to the coating (12). A tool according to the invention for producing a surface structure (14) and a production method are also specified.
