Abstract
Linear digester-dehydrator-composters (LDDC) which recovers the energy of the waste water of a thermoelectric power plant and is also connected to a vertical limestone building (VLB) for cleaning the produced biogas.
Claims
WO 2014/076725 AMENDED CLAIMS PCT/IT2013/000315 received by the International Bureau on 27 june 2014 (27.06.2014)
Multifunctional plant for digestion, dehydration and composting, characterised by the fact that it consists of a long, continuous linear wet digestion tank inground, separated into approximately 35 meter long compartments that allow for optimal concurrent processing of different types of biomass; each compartment is separated from its neighbour by bumps in the lower zone and the walls in the upper zone; the intermediate zone in the height of the bath digestive (dg) is open and in common to all the sections to equalize the mesophilic temperature (about 37 °C; the loading and unloading of the material is from above by means of hoppers; the heating takes place by means of hot water pipes (hwp) that contains the water used to cool the power plant turbines and condensers; the digestion is shaken by agitator sludge (ags) that can be lifted from the top; sludge is lifted by a submersible pump (sip) in the peripheral zone of the hopper (dlh); the aerated digestate is raised by other sludge lift pump, to section of dehydration, and composting where the processes made directly in bagged compost (be); the biogas produced, is filtered by biogas cyclone filter (bef) and sent by electric blower (ebbio) to gasometer (gas) by biogas collector (bioc); the sewage overflow, and the liquid digestate released by drainage bags (be), by overflow trays (wot), is sent to water basin to be purified (wbp) located in the vertical synergic building (VSB)
2) Multifunctional plant for digestion, dehydration and composting according to claim 1, in which the hoppers (dhl), used both for the input and output material, are equipped with separated paths for the input and output material.
3) Multifunctional plant for digestion, dehydration and composting according to claims from 1 to 2, in which the central section of the loading hoppers (dhl) is constituted by a cylindrical tube with a vertical mixer (vmix), a shredder with rotating reels (shr), an outlet pipe with a shutter valve (sov), while the peripheral zone equipped with a ramp with perforated tubes (rpt) is fed with air by an electric blower (efa) to start the composting phase with air ventilation.
4) Multifunctional plant for digestion, dehydration and composting according to claims from 1 to 3, in which the volume of the peripheral zone of the hoppers (dlh) is dimensioned to contain the whole load digested by the lower section (dg), that is lifted by the electric pump (sip) allowing the contemporary loading and digestion of additional biomass.
5) Multifunctional plant for digestion, dehydration and composting according to claims from 1 to 4, in which the loading hoppers and mud extraction places are delimited above by the hoppers position (dlh) and walls separating the gas accumulation zones and digestion, inferiorly from bumps to make hollows that allow independent extractions and digestions of sludge,

biogas although only the digester and each hopper is associated to a basin for mud accumulation, with an mud agitator that operates only in that zone.
6) Multifunctional plant for digestion, dehydration and composting according to claims from 1 to 5, in which the electric blower (ebC02), by means of suction pipes that picks C02 from the
5 surface of the slurry in digestion (C02 has a density triple with respect to the methane) and send it to the limestone greenhouse (vcmlg) located in the vertical synergy building VSB for neutralization.
7) Multifunctional plant for digestion, dehydration and composting according to claims from 1 to 6, in which gravity overpressure shutters and short underground channels allows to the air
10 coming out of the draining bags (be) to arrive into the basin environment (wbp) and, from here, through electric fans (efa), into the vertical covered mechanized limestone greenhouse (vcmlg) superimposed on top of basin (wba) located in the building VSB, where the air can exit only from the higher vents (aout) after deodorization process by contact with the calcareous material.
8) Multifunctional plant for digestion, dehydration and composting according to claims from 1 15 to 7, in which the digested mud coming from energetic biomass, being much more dense than normal depuration mud, are diluted with purified water coming from the final biologic ponds (fbcvp) both in the hopper (dlh) and in the tank (dst), where air is also blown that keeps the mud in suspension to facilitate the transportation to the draining bags.
9) Multifunctional plant for digestion, dehydration and composting according to claims from 1 20 to 8, in which the draining bags are mounted out of a cylindrical stainless steel frame (cssf), into which a small agitator is mounted with a timed pneumatic actuator (pag) connected to the compressed air network by a fast plug and a manual valve, that helps separation of the compost from the frame.
10) Multifunctional plant for digestion, dehydration and composting according to claims from 1 25 to 9, in which a network of drain pipes with valves unidirectional valves port the waste waters of the draining bags, the washing water and the floating foam on the surface longitudinal overflow and drainage cannels (wodc) in the digesters, to the basin of the water to purify (wbp) of the building VSB, which, in a separate patent claim, produces the water that is used for diluting the mud in claim 7, the mud and the biomass which feed the digester (dg).
30 11) Multifunctional plant for digestion, dehydration and composting according to claims from 1 to 10, in which multiple and autonomous loading and unloading stations operating concurrently and in parallel increase the productivity of the system.

13) Multifunctional plant for digestion, dehydration and composting according to claims from 1 to 12 in which the recovery of heat and C02 of entire power plants and the combination with vertical covered mechanized limestone greenhouse (vcmlg) of vertical synergic building VSB, allows you to produce higher quantities of biogas to the consumption capacity of the original power plant, the excess biogas is entered in urban networks
14) Multifunctional plant for digestion, composting and dehydration according to claims from 1 to 13, which together with vertical mechanized covered production greenhouse (vmcpg) and biological covered superimposed ponds (bcsvp) of vertical synergic building VSB, enables production of higher quantities of energetic biomass and natural agricultural fertilizers.
