Abstract

The present invention relates to a laundry washing and/or drying machine (1) comprising a body (2), a steam generator (3) situated in the body (2) and generating steam to be delivered into the washing tub, a receptacle (4) situated inside or in vicinity of the steam generator (3) and wherein liquid is accumulated to be used in the steam generator (3), a housing (5) arranged on the body (2), a drawer (6) placed into the housing (5), a funnel (7) remaining below the drawer (6) when the drawer (6) is placed into the housing (5), and a hose (8) providing the liquid in the funnel (7) to be transferred to the receptacle (4).

Description

A LAUNDRY WASHING AND/OR DRYING MACHINE
The present invention relates to a laundry washing and/or drying machine that comprises a steam generator.
In laundry washing and/or drying machines, steam generators that generate steam to send onto the laundry are used. Liquid such as water, etc. required by the steam generator is filled into a funnel situated inside the machine body by the user. The liquid filled in by the user is transferred from the funnel to a receptacle by means of a hose. The water accumulated in the receptacle is transferred to the steam generator to be vaporized.
In the state of the art, embodiments are known related to the path to be followed by the liquid that is being transferred to the steam generator. However, the user cannot be provided with the convenience of filling liquid from the outside into the funnel situated inside the machine body.
In the state of the art International Patent Application No. WO2011144453, it is disclosed that the liquid delivered to the steam generator is transferred to the funnel from the condensation tank.
The aim of the present invention is the realization of a laundry washing and/or drying machine comprising a funnel wherein the liquid to be transferred to the steam generator is easily poured.
The laundry washing and/or drying machine realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof, comprises a body, a steam generator situated in the body and generating steam to be delivered into the washing tub, and a receptacle situated inside or in vicinity of the steam generator and wherein liquid is accumulated to be used in the steam generator, a housing arranged on the body, a drawer placed into the housing, a funnel remaining below the drawer when the drawer is placed into the housing and a hose providing the delivery of the liquid in the funnel to the receptacle.
The laundry washing and/or drying machine furthermore comprises an opening that is arranged on the drawer, that remains aligned with the funnel when the drawer is placed into the housing or pulled forwards from the body and that enables the liquid poured into the drawer to be transferred to the funnel. The user pulls the drawer towards himself/herself and pours the liquid into the drawer to be vaporized in the steam generator. This liquid flows inside the drawer and is transferred to the funnel by means of an opening arranged on the drawer. Thus, the user can easily transfer the liquid into the funnel situated inside the body from outside the body.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the opening aligns with the orifice of the hose connected to the funnel when the drawer is pulled forward from the body. Thus, the orifice of the funnel facing the drawer and wherein the liquid is poured can be produced having a small diameter.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the opening is arranged at the rear side of the drawer and on the base of the drawer. Thus, when the user pulls the drawer and pours the liquid therein, the liquid can be easily transferred to the funnel that is situated below and at the rear side of the drawer.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the laundry washing and/or drying machine comprises a stopper that stops the drawer so that the opening cannot go beyond the level of the funnel when the drawer is pulled. By means of the stopper, the opening arranged on the base of the drawer is prevented from going beyond the level of the funnel while the user is pulling the drawer towards the front of the body.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the drawer comprises at least one guiding member situated on the drawer and providing the liquid flow path inside the drawer to narrow towards the opening. Thus, the liquid poured into the drawer is guided towards the opening.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the width of the funnel is equal to that of the base of the drawer. Thus, the liquid poured into the drawer can be transferred to the funnel by means of the drawer at any position the drawer is brought by being pulled forward by the user.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the housing is arranged at the front and top side of the laundry washing and/or drying machine. Thus, the user can easily access the drawer.
By means of the present invention, a laundry washing and/or drying washing is realized wherein liquid is easily delivered to the steam generator situated in the body by means of a drawer.
The laundry washing and/or drying machine realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention is illustrated in the attached figures, where:

Figure 2 – is the schematic view of a laundry washing and/or drying machine comprising a steam generator, a receptacle, a hose, a funnel and a drawer related to an embodiment of the present invention.

The laundry washing and/or drying machine (1) comprises a body (2), a steam generator (3) situated in the body (2) and generating steam to be delivered into the washing tub, a receptacle (4) situated inside or in vicinity of the steam generator (3) and wherein liquid is accumulated to be used in the steam generator (3), a housing (5) arranged on the body (2), a drawer (6) placed into the housing (5), a funnel (7) remaining below the drawer (6) when the drawer (6) is placed into the housing (5), and a hose (8) providing the liquid in the funnel (7) to be transferred to the receptacle (4) (Figure 1, Figure 2, Figure 3).
The laundry washing and/or drying machine (1) furthermore comprises an opening (9) that is arranged on the drawer (6), that remains almost completely aligned with the orifice of the funnel (7) facing the drawer (6) when the drawer (6) is pulled forwards from the body (2) and that enables the liquid poured into the drawer (6) to be transferred to the funnel (7). The user pulls the drawer (6) towards himself/herself and pours the liquid into the drawer (6) to be vaporized in the steam generator (3). This liquid flows inside the drawer (6) and is transferred to the funnel (7) by means of the opening (9) arranged on the drawer (6). Thus, the user can easily transfer the liquid to the funnel (7) situated inside the body (2) from outside the body (2) (Figure 2, Figure 3, Figure 4).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the opening (9) almost completely aligns with the orifice of the hose (8) connected to the funnel (7) when the drawer (6) is pulled forwards from the body (2). Thus, the orifice of the funnel (7) facing the drawer (6) and wherein the liquid is poured can be produced having a small diameter.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the opening (9) is arranged on the base of the drawer (6) so as to be at the rear side of the drawer (6). The user pulls the drawer (6) towards himself/herself in order to pour the liquid into the drawer (6) and pours the liquid in a recipient onto the base of the drawer (6). The liquid flows over the drawer (6) towards the opening (9). By means of the opening (9), the liquid can be easily transferred to the funnel (7) that is situated below and at the rear side of the drawer (6).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the laundry washing and/or drying machine (1) comprises a stopper (10) that stops the drawer (6) so that the opening (9) cannot go beyond the level of the funnel (7) when the drawer (6) is pulled forwards. By means of the stopper (10), the opening (9) arranged on the base of the drawer (6) is prevented from going beyond the level of the funnel (7) while the user is pulling the drawer (6) towards the front of the body (2). The stopper (10) stops the drawer (6) with the extension situated below the drawer (6) bearing against the extension on the funnel (7) and/or the housing (5) while the drawer (6) is being pulled forwards.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the drawer (6) comprises a guiding member (11) situated thereon and providing the liquid flow path inside the drawer (6) to narrow towards the opening (9). Thus, the liquid poured into the drawer (6) is guided towards the opening (9).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the width of the funnel (7) is equal to that of the base of the drawer (6). Thus, the liquid poured into the drawer (6) can be transferred to the funnel (7) by means of the drawer (6) at any position the drawer (6) is brought by being pulled forwards by the user.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the housing (5) is arranged at the front and top side of the laundry washing and/or drying machine (1). Thus, the user can easily access the drawer (6).
In the laundry washing and/or drying machine (1), a drawer (6) is realized, that is opened by being pulled forwards from the body (2) and that enables the liquid poured therein to reach the funnel (7).
It is to be understood that the present invention is not limited to the embodiments disclosed above and a person skilled in the art can easily introduce different embodiments. These should be considered within the scope of the protection postulated by the claims of the present invention.

Claims (7)

  1. A laundry washing and/or drying machine (1) comprising a body (2), a steam generator (3) situated in the body (2) and generating steam to be delivered into the washing tub, a receptacle (4) situated inside or in vicinity of the steam generator (3) and wherein liquid is accumulated to be used in the steam generator (3), a housing (5) arranged on the body (2), a drawer (6) placed into the housing (5), a funnel (7) remaining below the drawer (6) when the drawer (6) is placed into the housing (5), and a hose (8) providing the liquid in the funnel (7) to be transferred to the receptacle (4), characterized by an opening (9) that is arranged on the drawer (6), that remains almost completely aligned with the orifice of the funnel (7) facing the drawer (6) when the drawer (6) is pulled forwards from the body (2) and that enables the liquid poured into the drawer (6) to be transferred to the funnel (7).
  2. A laundry washing and/or drying machine (1) as in Claim 1, characterized by the opening (9) that almost completely aligns with the orifice of the hose (8) connected to the funnel (7) when the drawer (6) is pulled forwards from the body (2).
  3. A laundry washing and drying machine (1) as in Claim 1 or 2, characterized by the opening (9) that is arranged on the base of the drawer (6) so as to be at the rear side of the drawer (6).
  4. A laundry washing and/or drying machine (1) as in any one of the Claims 1 to 3, characterized by a stopper (10) that stops the drawer (6) so that the opening (9) cannot go beyond the level of the funnel (7) when the drawer (6) is pulled forwards.
  5. A laundry washing and drying machine (1) as in any one of the above claims, characterized by a guiding member (11) situated on the drawer (6) and providing the liquid flow path inside the drawer (6) to narrow towards the opening (9).
  6. A laundry washing and/or drying machine (1) as in any one of the above claims, characterized by the funnel (7) the width of which is equal to that of the base of the drawer (6).
  7. A laundry washing and drying machine (1) as in any one of the above claims, characterized by the housing (5) that is situated at the front and top side of the laundry washing and/or drying machine (1).
