Abstract

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen Umrichter (1) mit mehreren in Reihe geschalteten Umrichterzellen (11, 12, 13, 14, 15), der eine erhöhte Systemeffizienz und eine redundanten Systemausführung mit optimierter Betriebsstrategie ermöglicht, sowie auf ein System (10) mit mindestens einem solchen Umrichter (1) und auf ein Verfahren zum Betreiben eines solchen Systems (10). Der Umrichter (1) umfasst zur Lieferung einer maximalen Umrichterausgangsspannung (VA-max) mehrere in einer Reihenschaltung angeordnete Umrichterzellen (11, 12, 13, 14, 15), wobei jede Umrichterzelle (11, 12, 13, 14, 15) eine Energiequelle (111, 121, 131, 141, 151) zur Energieversorgung der Umrichterzelle (11, 12, 13, 14, 15) und eine geeignete Anzahl an Halbleiterschaltern (S1, S2, S3, S4) zur Erzeugung einer positiven oder negativen Betriebsspannung (Vp, Vn) am Ausgang (112, 122, 132, 142, 152) der Umrichterzelle (11, 12, 13, 14, 15) umfasst und am Ausgang (112, 122, 132, 142, 152) jeder Umrichterzelle (11, 12, 13, 14, 15) ein Bypass-Schalter (113, 123, 133, 143, 153) angeordnet ist, der zumindest dazu vorgesehen ist, im Falle einer defekten Umrichterzelle (11, 12, 13, 14, 15) diese Umrichterzelle (11, 12, 13, 14, 15) kurzzuschließen (K1) und im Falle einer gewünschten Betriebsspannung (V0) von 0 V dieser Umrichterzelle (11, 12, 13, 14, 15) diese Betriebsspannung (V0) von 0 V am Ausgang (112, 122, 132, 142, 152) der Umrichterzelle (11, 12, 13, 14, 15) unabhängig von den Halbleiterschaltern (S1, S2, S3, S4) einzustellen (E3). Dadurch wird ein Umrichter (1) mit Ausfallsicherheit bereitgestellen, dessen Topologie einen Betrieb zumindest mit erhöhter Effizienz ermöglicht.
