Abstract

본 발명은 복수의 레이어를 포함하는 비트스트림을 디코딩하는 영상의 디코딩 방법 및 장치에 대한 것으로 영상의 디코딩 방법은 상위 레이어가 하위 레이어와 동일한 코딩 방식으로 코딩되었는지 여부를 알려주는 의존성 정보를 수신하여 파악하는 단계와; 상기 파악된 의존성 정보에 기초하여 상기 상위 레이어의 영상을 복원하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다. 이로 인하여, 현재 레어어가 참조하는 참조 레이어의 정보가 부호화된 데이터인지 복원된 값인지 여부를 지시하는 정보를 파악할 수 있다.
