Abstract

The invention relates to a method for breaking free a wet clutch (4; 5) of a motor vehicle at low temperatures, wherein the wet clutch transmits a rotary motion of an internal combustion engine (2) via a transmission, preferably a dual clutch transmission (8, 9), to a power take-off of the motor vehicle, wherein at low temperatures a cold start of the internal combustion engine is carried out. According to the invention, the required breaking-free torque of the clutch (4; 5) is generated by a power-generating machine, preferably by a starter (12) when the internal combustion engine (2) is activated.
