La présente invention concerne un dispositif (1), en particulier un outil d'enlèvement de copeaux, une machine équipée d'un tel dispositif (1) et un procédé, comportant un élément de coupe (3) pour l'usinage mécanique d'une pièce (2), l'élément de coupe (3) étant relié à un dispositif oscillant (5). Le dispositif oscillant (5) provoque une oscillation de l'élément de coupe (3) dont la fréquence est inférieure à une fréquence ultrasonore, et le dispositif oscillant (5) présente une masse d'équilibrage (6) oscillant dans le sens opposé par rapport à l'élément de coupe (3).
