Abstract

The present invention addresses the problem of reflecting, for equipment with a configuration which uses a jog dial to perform a "scratch operation" and a "cue sampler playback operation", a user's intention accurately. A DJ player/mixer (10) according to the present invention has a jog dial with a touch sensor, and is equipped with: a first operation determination means (120) for determining whether an operation performed with the jog dial is a "scratch operation" for performing playback according to the rotation speed and rotation direction of the jog dial or a "cue sampler playback operation" for continuing playback while the jog dial is being touched; and a playback control means (140) for controlling the playback according to the determined operation. The first operation determination means (120) determines the "cue sampler playback operation" when the rotation amount of the jog dial after touched is less than a predetermined angle, and determines the "scratch operation" when the rotation amount of the jog dial after touched exceeds or is equal to the predetermined angle.

Description

REPRODUCTION CONTROL DEVICE, OPERATING DEVICE, REPRODUCTION CONTROL DEVICE CONTROL METHOD AND PROGRAM
The present invention relates to a reproduction control device, an operation device, a control method for the reproduction control device, and a program provided with a rotary operation element with a contact type or push-down type sensor.
Conventionally, a device used by a disc jockey (hereinafter referred to as “DJ”) for DJ performance, a so-called DJ device is known (for example, Patent Document 1). DJ equipment with a jog dial that can be operated like an analog turntable (DJ player, DJ controller, etc.) or with a crossfader that can simultaneously control the volume of two channels (DJ) Mixers, etc.) are known.
By the way, as a performance using these jog dial and crossfader, there is a scratch performance called “cue playback”. FIG. 12 is a diagram showing the operation method. In the figure, reference numeral 91 denotes a jog dial, and reference numeral 92 denotes a crossfader. As shown in FIG. 6A, during scratching, the jog dial 91 is moved back and forth (forward direction: clockwise direction, reverse direction: counterclockwise) while changing with the crossfader 92 (moving the crossfader 92 left and right). Rotate in the clockwise direction to move the current position to the cue start point (dotted line position in FIG. 5B). During cue playback, if the crossfader 92 is in the closed state, the crossfader 92 is opened immediately before releasing the hand from the jog dial 91 (see FIG. 5B), and the cue end point (see FIG. 5B). , (C) (solid line position), the jog dial 91 is touched, and the crossfader 92 is closed immediately after the touch (see FIG. 8C). Further, the current position is moved to the cue start point (return the jog dial 91 and refer to FIG. 4D), the cue reproduction is finished, and then the scratch performance or cue reproduction is repeated.

As described above, there are the following problems in performing “cue playback”. (1). It is necessary to accurately rotate the jog dial 91 to the cue start point. (2). During playback of cueing, it is necessary to keep the crossfader 92 open and close the jog dial 91 to the original position. (3). Immediately before cueing playback, the crossfader 92 and jog dial 91 are operated simultaneously. If the opening is delayed, the beginning of the cueing playback sound will be lost. If the opening is early, a sound will be returned to return the jog dial 91. Will be. (4). Immediately after the cue playback, the crossfader 92 and the jog dial 91 are operated simultaneously. If the close state is delayed, a sound for returning the jog dial 91 is output. If the close state is early, the end of the cue playback sound is terminated. It will be missing. As described above, advanced techniques are necessary to accurately perform “cue playback”.
Therefore, it is conceivable to realize the cue sampler function by touching the jog dial 91. In other words, if the jog dial 91 is touched during playback or cue standby, playback from the preset cue point starts, and when the touch is released (released), the cue point is returned (back cue) and the cue standby is performed. It can be considered as a state. As a result, the operation of the crossfader 92 becomes unnecessary, and “cue playback” can be performed easily and accurately.
However, if the cue sampler function is to be realized using the jog dial 91, the sound may stop due to a transition to a scratch state in which playback is performed in accordance with the rotational speed and direction of the jog dial 91 at the moment of touch. That is, there is a problem that the user becomes a scratch operation even though the user intends to perform the cue sampler reproduction operation.
In view of the above problems, the present invention provides a reproduction control device, an operation device, and reproduction control capable of accurately reflecting a user's intention in a configuration in which a plurality of types of performances are realized using a single rotary operator. An object of the present invention is to provide an apparatus control method and program.
The reproduction control device of the present invention is a reproduction control device that performs reproduction control based on an operation of a rotary operation element with a contact type or push-down type sensor. In accordance with an operation on a rotary operation element, a first operation determination unit that determines whether the operation is a scratch operation that performs reproduction according to a direction, or a reproduction operation that continues reproduction while being touched or pressed. Replay control means for performing replay control, and the first operation determining means determines that the replay operation is performed when the amount of rotation of the rotary operator after the rotary operator touches or is pressed is less than a predetermined angle, and rotates. When the amount of rotation of the rotary operator after the operator touches or is pressed becomes equal to or greater than a predetermined angle, the scratch operation is determined.
The operating device according to the present invention includes a rotary operator with a contact type or push-down type sensor, and a scratch operation in which an operation on the rotary operator performs reproduction according to the rotational speed and direction of the rotary operator. First operation determining means for determining which operation is a replay operation that continues reproduction while the first operation determining means is a rotating operation after the rotary operator is touched or pressed. When the rotation amount of the child is less than the predetermined angle, it is determined that the operation is a reproduction operation, and when the rotation amount of the rotation operator after the rotation operator is touched or pressed is equal to or greater than the predetermined angle, it is determined that the operation is a scratch operation. Features.
A control method for a regeneration control device according to the present invention is a control method for a regeneration control device that performs regeneration control based on an operation of a rotary operator with a contact-type or push-down sensor. First operation determination for determining whether the operation is a scratch operation for performing reproduction according to the rotation speed and direction of the rotary operator or a reproduction operation for continuing reproduction while being touched or pressed. And a reproduction control step for performing reproduction control according to an operation on the rotary operator. In the first operation determination step, the rotation amount of the rotary operator after the rotary operator is touched or pressed is determined. When the rotation angle is less than the predetermined angle, it is determined that the operation is a reproduction operation. When the rotation amount of the rotary operation element after the rotation operation element is touched or pressed becomes equal to or greater than the predetermined angle, it is determined that the operation is a scratch operation. And butterflies.
According to these configurations, the operation is determined according to the amount of rotation after the rotary operator is touched or pressed. For example, in the case of a scratch operation, since it is considered that the amount of rotation becomes a predetermined angle or more by rotating with the rotary operator in mind, the scratch operation is determined. On the other hand, in the case of the reproduction operation, since the rotation operation element is not consciously rotated, the rotation amount is considered to be less than a predetermined angle, so that the reproduction operation is determined. In this way, in a configuration in which a plurality of types of performances are realized using one rotary operator, the user's intention can be accurately reflected.
Note that “the amount of rotation after the rotary operator is contacted or pressed” means the amount of rotation while the rotary operator is kept in contact or pressed. Alternatively, the operation may be determined based on “the amount of rotation at the moment when the rotary operator touches or is pressed”, or “the amount of rotation within a predetermined time from the moment at which the rotary operator is touched or pressed”. The operation may be determined based on "."
In the above playback control device, the rotation operator is a jog dial with a touch sensor, and the playback control means starts playback from the current playback position when it is determined as a scratch operation, and when it is determined as a playback operation, Playback is started from a preset cue point.
According to this configuration, when it is desired to realize a scratch operation and a cue sampler playback operation (cue playback operation) using one jog dial, the user's intention can be accurately reflected.
In the above reproduction control device, the first operation determining means determines that the operation is a scratch operation when the direction of the jog dial after being touched is less than a predetermined angle and the direction is changed more than a predetermined number of times. Features.
As described above, when the operation is determined according to the amount of rotation after the jog dial is touched, the cue sampler playback operation is performed because the scratch range is small even though the user touches the jog dial with the intention of the scratch operation. May be erroneously determined. According to this configuration, when the direction has been changed more than a predetermined number of times (that is, when it is desired to perform a scratch operation with a small rotation angle), the user's intention is reflected more accurately by determining it as a scratch operation. be able to.
Note that a time limit may be provided for determining whether or not there has been a predetermined number of turnovers. That is, it may be determined as a scratch operation when the direction has been changed more than a predetermined number of times within a predetermined time from the moment of being touched.
In the above playback control device, when the touch of the jog dial is released from the state in which the scratch operation is being performed, the operation is performed by a spin operation for performing playback at a speed and direction according to the rotation of the jog dial, and a set cue. It further includes a second operation determining means for determining which of the back cue playback operations to return to the point and start the immediate playback, and the second operation determining means has a rotation speed of the jog dial immediately after the touch is released. When the speed is equal to or higher than the predetermined speed, it is determined as a spin operation, and when the rotation speed of the jog dial immediately after the touch is released is lower than the predetermined speed, it is determined as a back cue playback operation.
When releasing the touch after the scratch operation, the jog dial may spin slightly depending on how to release the touch. Also, as a DJ performance, there is a demand to start playback immediately after a scratch operation (after touch release) (to perform cue playback), but the timing of cue playback is delayed due to the spin operation. Therefore, it will deviate from the timing that the user aimed. According to this configuration, the operation is determined according to the rotation speed of the jog dial immediately after the touch is released. For example, when the user intends to perform a spin operation, it is considered that the rotation speed becomes equal to or higher than a predetermined speed due to an operation conscious of continuous rotation of the rotary operation element, and therefore, it is determined as a spin operation. Further, when it is desired to return to the cue point and start immediate reproduction, it is only necessary to release the hand from the jog dial, and the rotation speed may be less than the predetermined speed. Thereby, the user's intention can be accurately reflected even when the touch is released.
The above reproduction control apparatus is characterized by further comprising user setting means for setting an arbitrary value for at least one item among a predetermined angle, a predetermined number of times, and a predetermined speed.
According to this configuration, a “predetermined angle” that is a threshold value when determining an operation at the time of touch, a “predetermined number of times” that is a threshold value when determining a direction change immediately after the touch, and an operation at the time of touch release The “predetermined speed” serving as a threshold value for determining whether or not can be changed according to the user's preference. Thereby, user convenience can be improved.
The playback control device further includes cue point setting means for setting cue points corresponding to the divided areas obtained by dividing the touch area of the jog dial into a plurality of divided areas, wherein the playback control means is configured to perform a playback operation. The reproduction is started from the cue point corresponding to the touched divided area.
According to this configuration, since a plurality of cue points can be set, variations in performance can be expanded.
The reproduction control device described above further includes touch display means for displaying that the jog dial is being touched while the jog dial is being touched.
This configuration can return a visual response to the user's operation.
In the above playback control device, when the cue point is set, touch the jog dial to pause playback when the jog dial is touched, and touch the jog dial while the cue point is set. And a jog mode switching means for switching the mode between a plurality of jog modes including a jog sampler mode which starts playback from the cue point and returns to the cue point upon touch release and enters a standby state. The means is characterized in that the determination is performed in the jog sampler mode.
According to this configuration, conflicting operations such as “binary mode” and “jog sampler mode” can be realized by switching the jog mode. Thereby, the variation of performance can be expanded further.
The program of the present invention is characterized by causing a computer to function as each means in the reproduction control device or each means in the operation device.
By using this program, it is possible to provide a playback control device or an operation device that can accurately reflect the user's intention in a configuration in which a plurality of types of performances are realized using one rotary operator.

In the present embodiment, it is assumed that two player units 12a and 12a are provided and audio signals of corresponding channels can be operated. A jog dial 66 (see FIGS. 2, 4 and the like) described later is provided in the player units 12a and 12a, and a cross fader 71 (see FIG. 4 and the like) is provided in the mixer unit 12b.
The I / F unit 13 inputs an audio signal from the external input device 50 and outputs an audio signal after audio processing by the DJ player / mixer 10 to the amplifier 30. Further, A / D conversion and D / A conversion of the audio signal are performed as necessary.
Next, with reference to FIG. 2, various operators provided in the player unit 12a of the DJ player / mixer 10 will be described. As shown in the figure, the player unit 12a has an effect knob group 61 for applying various effects, a cue button 62 for setting cue points, and a play / pause button 63 for playing or pausing. Further, an operation element such as a mode switching button 65 for switching the jog mode, a jog dial 66 which is a rotary operation element with a touch sensor, and a plurality of LEDs 67 arranged around the jog dial 66 are arranged.
The effect knob group 61 includes a delay button for setting a delay sound at an arbitrary tempo / rhythm, an echo button for setting an echo sound at an arbitrary tempo, a pitch echo button for setting an echo sound as an original sound at an arbitrary pitch, and a BPM. In addition, a transformer button that cuts the original sound intermittently, a flanger button that produces a sound effect that causes the jet aircraft to rise and fall periodically, a filter button that makes the original sound low-pass filter, and a phase shift to the original sound Includes a phase button that adds a sound.
Further, each time the mode switching button 65 is pressed, two or more (plural) jog modes such as “jog sampler mode” and “binary mode” can be switched. In the “jog sampler mode”, when the jog dial 66 is touched in the play state and the cue point is set, the cue sampler state is entered, and playback from the cue point is started and playback during the touch is continued. When released after touching (touch release), the cue point is returned to a standby state. Further, when a scratch operation is performed, a scratch operation starts from the current playback position, and when released after scratching, playback starts from the cue point. These operations are the same when the cue button 62 is in the queue standby state.
On the other hand, in the “binary mode”, when the jog dial 66 is touched in the play state and the cue point is set, the pause is made at the touched position. When released after touching, playback starts from the pause position. Further, when a scratch operation is performed, the scratch operation starts from the current playback position, and when released after scratching, playback starts from the current playback position. In the “binary mode”, the cue standby state is continued even when the jog dial 66 is touched / released in the cue standby state of the cue button 62. In addition, when a scratch operation is performed in the cue standby state of the cue button 62, the scratch operation is started from the current reproduction position, and when released after the scratch, the cue point is returned to the cue standby state. In the present embodiment, among these jog modes, the “jog sampler mode” will be mainly described.
The jog dial 66 is provided with a substantially disc-shaped touch sensor (contact sensor) on its top surface, and detects touch / release. Further, the jog dial 66 is provided with an angular velocity detection sensor for detecting the rotation amount (rotation direction, rotation speed, rotation angle, etc.). The LED 67 emits light in different colors depending on the jog mode.
Next, the functional configuration of the DJ player / mixer 10 will be described with reference to FIG. The DJ player / mixer 10 includes a jog mode switching unit 110, a first operation determination unit 120, a second operation determination unit 130, a reproduction control unit 140, and a user setting unit 150 as main functional components.
As described above, the jog mode switching unit 110 switches the jog mode between the “jog sampler mode” and the “binary mode”. The “jog sampler mode” is a mode in which playback starts from the cue point when the jog dial 66 is touched, and returns to the cue point when the touch is released to enter a standby state, whereas the “binary mode” touches the jog dial 66. Then, the operation is contradictory, such as pausing and starting playback from the pause position by releasing the touch. In addition to these two jog modes, a new jog mode may be mounted so that a desired mode can be selected from the plurality of jog modes.
When the jog dial 66 is touched, the first operation determination means 120 determines whether the operation is “scratch operation” or “cue sampler playback operation (playback operation)”. Here, the “scratch operation” refers to an operation for performing reproduction at a speed and direction corresponding to the rotational speed and direction of the jog dial 66. In the case of “scratch operation”, reproduction is started from the current reproduction position corresponding to the current rotation position of the jog dial 66. On the other hand, the “cue sampler playback operation” refers to a playback operation that continues playback while the jog dial 66 is touched in the “jog sampler mode” (see FIG. 4). In the case of “cue sampler playback operation”, playback starts from the set cue point.
The first operation determination unit 120 determines the “scratch operation” and “cue sampler reproduction operation” based on the rotation amount (rotation angle) of the jog dial 66 after the jog dial 66 is touched. Specifically, when the rotation amount is less than the predetermined angle X, it is determined as “cued sampler reproduction operation”, and when the rotation amount is equal to or greater than the predetermined angle X, it is determined as “scratch operation”. However, the first operation determination unit 120 determines that the subsequent operation is “scratch operation” when the rotation amount of the jog dial 66 is less than the predetermined angle X and the direction is changed a predetermined number of times Y or more. Details will be described later. In the present embodiment, it is assumed that “predetermined number Y” is set to “2”.
When the touch of the jog dial 66 is released from the state in which the “scratch operation” is being performed, the second operation determination means 130 is either a “spin operation” or a “back cue playback operation”. Determine whether. Here, the “spin operation” refers to an operation of reproducing at a speed and a direction corresponding to the rotation using the rotational inertia of the jog dial 66 even after the touch is released. The “back cue playback operation” refers to an operation of returning to the set cue point and starting playback immediately. The second operation determining means 130 determines “spin operation” when the rotational speed of the jog dial 66 immediately after the touch is released is equal to or higher than the predetermined speed V, and the rotational speed of the jog dial 66 immediately after the touch is released is less than the predetermined speed V. In this case, it is determined as “back cue playback operation”.
The reproduction control unit 140 performs reproduction control based on the jog mode switched by the jog mode switching unit 110 and the operation determination results of the first operation determination unit 120 and the second operation determination unit 130. For example, when the first operation determination unit 120 determines that the operation at the time of touch is “scratch operation”, the reproduction according to the rotation speed and the rotation direction of the jog dial 66 is started from the current reproduction position. If it is determined that the operation at the time of touch is a “cue sampler playback operation”, playback starts at a preset playback speed from a preset cue point.
The user setting means 150 includes a “predetermined angle X” that is a threshold for determining an operation at the time of touch, a “predetermined number of times Y” that is a threshold for determining a direction change immediately after the touch, A “predetermined speed V” is set as a threshold for determining the operation. These settings are performed using the operation unit 12. In this way, since it is possible to customize according to the user's preference, usability can be significantly improved.
Next, referring to FIG. 4, a cue playback operation (“cue sampler playback operation”) using the jog dial 66 in the “jog sampler mode” will be described. As shown in FIG. 6A, during the scratch performance, the jog dial 66 is rotated in the front-rear direction while changing with the crossfader 71. When starting the cue playback, leave the crossfader 71 open, touch the jog dial 66 (see (b) in the figure), and play to the cue end point (solid line position in the figure (b)) while touched. The touch is released (see (c) in the figure). Thereafter, when repeating the cue playback, the process returns to FIG. 5B, and when performing the scratch performance, the process returns to FIG. In this example, when the position of the crossfader 71 is at the right end, it is in the closed state, and when it is other than the right end, it is in the open state.
Thus, the “cue sampler playback operation” of the present embodiment is an ON trigger, so that cue playback can be performed intuitively. Further, the playback sound of the head can be incorporated as an accent of the scratch sound by the front / rear operation of the jog dial 66, and the width of the scratch performance can be easily widened. Further, compared to the conventional cue playback operation (see FIG. 12), the operation of the crossfader 71 during cue playback is not necessary, and one-hand operation is possible. As a result, the effect operation can be simultaneously performed with the other hand, and the range of performance is further expanded.
Next, with reference to FIG. 5 and FIG. 6, the operation determination method by the first operation determination means 120 in the “jog sampler mode” will be described in detail. In both figures, the thick solid line indicates the current touch position, the dotted line indicates the position at the moment of touching from the released state, and the thin solid line indicates the position of the predetermined angle X in the front-rear direction from the position at the moment of touching from the released state. Show.
FIG. 5 (a) shows the moment when touched from the released state. In this state, it is determined as “cue sampler playback operation”, and playback is started from the cue point. Further, after FIG. 5A, as shown in FIG. 5B, when the jog dial 66 is rotated in the forward direction within a range less than the predetermined angle X, the reproduction is continued as it is. On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 5C, when the jog dial 66 is rotated forward by a predetermined angle X or more, it is determined as “scratch operation” from the position where the predetermined angle X or more is reached, and the state is changed to the scratch state. . Further, the determination at the time of the backward rotation is the same as that at the time of the forward rotation. That is, as shown in FIG. 5D, when the jog dial 66 is rotated backward within the range of the predetermined angle X after FIG. 5A, the reproduction is continued. Further, as shown in FIG. 5E, when the jog dial 66 is rotated backward by a predetermined angle X or more, a transition is made from the position where the predetermined angle X or more is reached to the scratch state.
FIG. 6 is a diagram illustrating a state of the jog dial 66 when the direction is changed after the touch. FIG. 6 (a) shows the moment when touched from the released state, as in FIG. 5 (a). As shown in FIG. 6B, when the jog dial 66 is rotated in one direction within a range less than the predetermined angle X after FIG. 6A, the reproduction is continued. In addition, the dashed-dotted line has shown the direction change position. Also, as shown in FIG. 6 (c), after the turn of FIG. 6 (b), even when the direction is changed once within a range less than the predetermined angle X, the reproduction is continued as it is. After that, as shown in FIG. 6D, when the second direction change is performed within the range of the predetermined angle X, it is determined as “scratch operation” at the same time as the second direction change, and the scratch state is entered. Transition.
Next, with reference to FIG. 7, the operation determination method by the second operation determination means 130 in the “jog sampler mode” will be described in detail. In the figure, the dotted line indicates the position at the moment of release (release position), the thin solid line indicates the position that is the threshold for spin determination (position at a predetermined angle Z from the release position), and the two-dot chain line Indicates the spin end position. Here, the predetermined angle Z is a reference position for determining whether or not the rotational speed of the jog dial 66 immediately after release is equal to or higher than the predetermined speed V.
FIG. 7A shows the state of the jog dial 66 during scratching. As shown in FIG. 7B, when the hand is released from the jog dial 66 and spins slightly forward, the spin end position is less than the predetermined angle Z. And start playback. That is, when the rotational speed of the jog dial 66 immediately after release (when a predetermined time has elapsed from the time of release) is less than the predetermined speed V, it is determined as “back cue playback operation”. On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 7C, when spinning is performed at a rotational speed at which the spin end position is equal to or greater than the predetermined angle Z, the spin function operates (determined as “spin operation”). In FIGS. 7B and 7C, only the forward rotation is illustrated, but the backward rotation is similarly determined.
(S05)。 Next, with reference to FIG. 8 and FIG. 9, the flow of playback control in the “jog sampler mode” will be described. FIG. 8 is a flowchart showing the flow of playback control at the time of touch. First, the DJ player / mixer 10 (control unit 11) determines whether or not the jog dial 66 has been rotated by a predetermined angle X or more from the touch position when the jog dial 66 is touched from a state in which the hand is separated from the jog dial 66 (S01). (S02) When it rotates (S02: Yes), it shifts to a scratch state (S03). On the other hand, when the rotation is not more than the predetermined angle X (S02: No), it is determined whether or not there has been a turn more than twice at a position less than the predetermined angle X from the touch position (S04). In the case (S04: Yes), the process shifts to the scratch state (S03). If there is no direction change twice or more (S04: No), playback during touch is continued (S05).
After that, when the hand is released from the jog dial 66 (S06: Yes), the back queue is performed and the queue is waited (S07), and the process returns to S01. If the jog dial 66 is still being touched (S06: No), the process returns to S02. As described above, the DJ player / mixer 10 of the present embodiment continues the playback state when the rotation amount after the jog dial 66 is touched is less than the predetermined angle X and there is no direction change twice or more, When the angle becomes equal to or larger than the predetermined angle X or when the direction is changed twice or more, the state shifts to the scratch state.
After S06: No, it is determined whether or not the predetermined time T1 has elapsed from S01. If not, the process returns to S02. If it has elapsed, the playback state is continued without shifting to the scratch state. May be. That is, when the jog dial 66 is slowly rotated while being touched, the scratch state may not be shifted even if the jog dial 66 is rotated by a predetermined angle X or more from the initial touch position. When the predetermined time T1 has elapsed from S01, the position of the jog dial 66 at the time when the predetermined time has elapsed may be updated as the touch position, and then the process may return to S02. Further, in this case, the predetermined time T1 may be a very short time. That is, “scratch operation” or “cue sampler reproduction operation” may be determined based on the rotation amount at the moment of touching the jog dial 66 (immediately after the touch). Further, the rotation amount in this case may refer to “rotation speed” or “rotation angle and rotation speed” instead of “rotation angle”. For example, when the rotation amount = “the rotation angle and the rotation speed”, the two conditions of “the rotation angle immediately after the touch is a predetermined angle or more” and “the rotation speed immediately after the touch is the predetermined speed” are satisfied by the AND condition or the OR condition. In this case, a determination method such as determining “scratch operation” is conceivable.
Further, the determination of the scratch state transition in S04 may be made on condition that the period from the first touch to the second direction change (from (a) to (d) in FIG. 6) is performed within a predetermined time T2. Further, the predetermined times T1 and T2 may be set by the user setting means 150.
(S13)。 FIG. 9 is a flowchart showing the flow of playback control at the time of release. When the DJ player / mixer 10 (control unit 11) is released from the jog dial 66 in the scratch state (S11), the DJ player / mixer 10 (control unit 11) determines whether the rotational speed of the jog dial 66 immediately after the hand is released is equal to or higher than a predetermined speed V. Determine (S12). When the rotational speed is less than the predetermined speed V (S12: No), back cueing is started and immediate reproduction is started (S13). On the other hand, when the rotation speed is equal to or higher than the predetermined speed V (S12: Yes), the spin function is operated (S14). When the spin is completed (when the jog dial 66 stops rotating, S15: Yes), the back cue is performed. Then, immediate reproduction is started (S13).
As described above, according to the present embodiment, “scratch operation” and “cue sampler reproduction operation” are determined according to the rotation amount after the jog dial 66 is touched. For example, when the user intends to perform “scratch operation”, it is conceivable that the amount of rotation becomes equal to or greater than the predetermined angle X by performing the operation while considering the rotation of the jog dial 66. Further, when the “cue sampler reproduction operation” is intended, it is considered that the rotation amount becomes less than the predetermined angle X because the jog dial 66 is simply touched. Thus, by determining the operation according to the rotation amount of the jog dial 66, the user's intention can be accurately reflected.
Further, if the operation is determined only in accordance with the rotation amount of the jog dial 66, the scratch range is small even though the user intends the “scratch operation”, so that it is erroneously determined as “cue sampler reproduction operation”. There is a case. For this reason, even if the amount of rotation is less than the predetermined angle X, it is possible to reflect the user's intention more accurately by determining “scratch operation” when the direction is changed twice or more.
In addition, when the hand is released from the jog dial 66 after the “scratch operation”, the jog dial 66 may spin slightly depending on how to release the hand. Also, as a DJ performance, there is a demand for performing immediate cue playback after “scratch operation”. However, if the spin is performed when the hand is released, the cue reproduction timing is delayed accordingly. Therefore, by distinguishing between “back cue playback operation” and “spin operation” according to the rotation speed of the jog dial 66 immediately after the touch is released, it is possible to accurately reflect the user's intention even when the touch is released. it can.
Next, a modification of the above embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS.
[Modification 1]
For example, as shown in FIG. 10A, corresponding to each divided area obtained by dividing the touch sensor area of the jog dial 66 into a plurality (in the example of the figure, four of 66a, 66b, 66c, and 66d), Cue point setting means for setting cue points may be provided. In this case, when a reproduction operation is performed, the reproduction control unit 140 starts reproduction from the cue point corresponding to the touched divided area. According to this configuration, a plurality of cue points can be set, so that variations in performance can be expanded.
[Modification 2]
In the above embodiment, the light emission color of the LED 67 is changed according to the jog mode. However, the LED 67 may be used to display that the jog dial 66 is touched (touch display means). ). For example, as shown in FIG. 10B, the jog dial 66 may emit light in different colors when it is not touched and when it is touched. For example, green in "Binyl mode", red in "Jog sampler mode", red when not touched in "Jog sampler mode", orange when touched in "Jog sampler mode", etc. Conceivable. According to this configuration, it is possible to visually return a response to a user operation. The jog mode display and the touch / release display may be displayed by different display means. In addition, each piece of information may be displayed on the liquid crystal display using text, images, symbols, colors, and the like.
[Modification 3]
Further, the system configuration may be changed as shown in FIG. This figure is a system configuration diagram of a DJ system SY2 according to a modification. In this example, instead of the DJ player / mixer 10 of the DJ system SY1, a PC 20 and a DJ controller 210 are provided. The DJ controller 210 is an integrated controller of a player and a mixer, and has the functions of the operation unit 12 and the I / F unit 13 of the DJ player / mixer 10 shown in the above embodiment. The operation unit 12 transmits an operation signal to the PC 20 (DJ application 21) by communication such as MIDI or HID. The I / F unit 13 outputs the audio signal input from the external input device 50 to the PC 20 and further outputs the audio signal input from the PC 20 to the amplifier 30.
On the other hand, the PC 20 includes hardware such as a display screen, an input device (mouse, keyboard, etc.), a hard disk, a control mechanism (CPU, ROM, RAM, etc.) (all not shown). The hard disk stores an OS (Operating System) and a DJ application 21 that operates on the OS. Here, the DJ application 21 is software developed for the DJ to perform the DJ performance, and processes and edits the audio signal input from the DJ player / mixer 10. Further, the DJ application 21 can be used in combination with the DJ controller 210 to realize the functions of the DJ player / mixer 10. That is, the DJ controller 210 is used as an interface for the user to perform various operations, and operation determination processing and sound control (such as mixing of sound signals and volume adjustment) are mainly performed by the DJ application 21 (PC 20). . That is, in this example, the “reproduction control device” in the claims corresponds to the PC 20 (DJ application 21).
As a further modification, the DJ controller 210 may cause the first operation determination unit 120 and the second operation determination unit 130 to function. That is, the DJ controller 210 may function as the “operation device” of the present invention.
[Other variations]
In the above embodiment, the DJ player / mixer 10 and the DJ controller 210 that handle audio signals are exemplified as the playback control device or the operation device. However, a device that handles video signals (for example, a visual jockey is adapted to music). It is also applicable to VJ equipment used for improvising and video performance. The present invention can also be applied to DVJ equipment that handles both audio signals and video signals.
In addition, although the jog dial 66 provided with the touch sensor (contact type sensor) is illustrated, a configuration including a push-down type sensor may be used. Further, a rotary operator other than the jog dial 66 may be used. Further, the rotary operation element and the contact type or pressing type sensor may be provided separately. Furthermore, operations other than “scratch operation” and “cue sampler operation” may be determined according to the rotation amount of the rotary operator. For example, instead of “cue sampler operation”, normal playback operation (play button operation) may be determined, and in this case, normal playback may be performed. Also, according to the rotation amount of the rotary operator, such as when the rotation amount is equal to or greater than the predetermined angle X, the reproduction is started from the cue point, and when the rotation amount is less than the predetermined angle X, the reproduction is started from the current reproduction position. Only the playback start position may be varied.
Further, in the above-described embodiment, the “predetermined angle X” that is a threshold for touch operation determination and the “predetermined angle Z” that is a threshold for spin determination are set to the same value in the front-rear direction of the jog dial 66. However, the values may be different before and after the jog dial 66 (see FIGS. 5 to 7). Further, the user setting means 150 may be able to set each value in the front-rear direction of “predetermined angle X” and “predetermined angle Z”.
Also, it is possible to provide the functions of the DJ player / mixer 10 and the DJ controller 210 described above as a program. Further, the program can be provided by being stored in various recording media (CD-ROM, flash memory, etc.). That is, a program for causing a computer to function as each component of the DJ player / mixer 10 and the DJ controller 210 and a recording medium on which the program is recorded are also included in the scope of the right of the present invention. In addition, the reproduction control device and the operation device of the present invention can be appropriately changed without departing from the gist of the present invention, such as being realized by an electronic musical instrument other than a DJ device or by cloud computing.
