Abstract
A wooden wine bottle, consisting of two pieces connected together, showing better sealing properties compared to a wooden barrel of similar size. The advantage of the present invention is that this wooden bottle, having a capacity of 0.7 I (i.e. as a wine bottle made of glass) or less, can be manufactured at a lower cost than a wooden barrel of similar size and consequently can be used in the mass production of bottling of wine, whiskey and liquor in general. Aging in such a wooden bottle improves the quality of the bottled product, resulting in added value.
Description
WOODEN BOTTLE
Description
Field of the invention
This invention relates to a wooden bottle. The wooden bottle consists of two circle shaped wooden pieces connected together, in order to form a single round wooden bottle. There are many known wooden bottles. Most of them consist of more than two pieces. If they consist of only two pieces, they are sealed with sealing materials applied on the inner side, in order to make the bottle waterproof and avoid the absorption of a portion of the bottled product by the wood material.
Detailed description of the invention
The wooden bottle according to the present invention is characterized in that it consists of two circle shaped wooden pieces connected together (Figure 1). The upper piece (Figure 1.1) comprises the bottle neck, the base of the neck (Figure 1.2), the outer wall of the bottle (Figure 1.3) and the inner wall of the bottle (Figure 1.4).
The bottom piece comprises the base of the bottle (Figure 1.5) and the wall which is positioned between the two walls of the upper piece (Figure 1.6).
Figure 1 shows the assembled wooden bottle, Figure 2 shows the upper piece of it,
Figure 3 shoes the bottom piece.
Objects and advantages of the invention
The advantages of the wooden bottle according to the present invention are: 1) The wooden bottle is sealed naturally, waterproof at the connection point by the dilatation of wood, when in contact with the bottled product, for example, wine, whiskey, cognac, balsamic vinegar and
others. Of course, sealing can be achieved also with water, as in the case of a 1 I or 0.5 I wooden barrel.
2) The connection point is substantially only one. At this only one point, a leakage is almost impossible to occur. The reason is that in the wooden 0.7 I bottle the length of the route to be covered by the bottled product to flow out is approximately 40 cm. On the contrary, in the wooden barrel it is 2.2 cm, which is equal to its thickness. Even though the wooden bottle also has a thickness of 2.2 cm, the bottled product has to pass between the three walls, which makes a total route length of 40 cm.
3) The manufacturing cost is less compared to the cost of a similar wooden barrel, which consists of staves (wooden planks). The cost is also less than that of a similar bottle which consists of more than two pieces.
4) In the case of sealing without water, the wooden 0.7 I bottle should first be half filled with wine or whiskey etc, i.e. 0.35 I, and after 12 h the rest of the bottle can be filled without any risk of leakage of the product.
The wooden bottle can also be produced in a 0.100 I size like a glass of wine, 0.05 I size like a portion of whiskey or even a 0.025 I size. The wooden bottle according to the present invention has the same characteristics as a wooden barrel of a similar size. The preferred bottle size is 1 I or less.
