Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à un appareil de service qui est apte à fournir une image appropriée pour les spécifications de l'affichage d'un terminal. L'invention se rapporte d'autre part à un procédé pour la fourniture d'une image correspondant à cet appareil, même quand des informations de résolution précises ne sont pas transférées à partir du terminal. Dans la présente invention : le terminal exécute une ou plusieurs applications ; il demande une image à un appareil de service sur la base d'une demande en provenance d'une application en cours d'exécution ; et il confirme si une application prend, ou non, en charge la totalité des densités d'un écran. Quand l'application prend en charge la totalité des densités d'un écran, le terminal extrait la valeur de résolution d'une zone dans laquelle l'image doit être affichée, et il transmet cette valeur de résolution. Quand l'application ne prend pas en charge la totalité des densités d'un écran, le terminal extrait des informations des densités d'un écran qui sont prises en charge par l'application et il transmet ces informations de densités d'un écran. L'appareil de service redimensionne l'image de telle sorte qu'elle corresponde à une ou plusieurs valeurs de résolution et à une ou plusieurs densités d'un écran. Quand une image est demandée au terminal, l'appareil de service confirme la valeur de résolution du terminal et il fournit au terminal une image correctement redimensionnée sur la base de la valeur de résolution confirmée. Quand seules des informations de densités d'un écran sont transmises à partir du terminal, l'appareil de service calcule la valeur de résolution sur la base des informations de densités d'un écran, et il fournit une image redimensionnée qui correspond à la valeur de résolution calculée, au terminal.
