- the optical fiber of the present invention in at least 50% or more of the optical transmission path from the OLT to the ONU, the distance that can be transmitted without optical amplification can be extended.
- the distance from the OLT to the ONU is about 20 km to 100 km is being studied.
- the optical fiber of the present invention in a section of 50% or more of the optical transmission line from the OLT to the ONU, the distance that can be further transmitted can be extended when optical amplification is performed. Therefore, the OSNR required for other devices can be reduced, and a highly efficient system can be constructed.
- the optical fiber of the present invention can be used as an optical transmission line of an optical access network.
